Wow, nice to see the source of these leaks here. Welcome Gosetsu and thank you for this information on Mayhem Mode. That sounds all pretty interesting. I'm curious how that will play out. Fortunately it won't be long until we know.
So it works like a sort of Devil Trigger mechanic? That could be interesting depending on how it's implemented, definitely throws a wrench into the usual scoring system for this style of mercs. I just hope that description for Wesker means that when he's in this mode he basically has the jake unarmed moveset from RE6.
@@TitanicTitan26 Yes, I agree. The implementation is everything, especially how you aqquire the orbs that fill up the gauge. Maybe neutralized enemies drop them. Of course this system seems very different from past Mercenaries, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I still remember when they introduced the time bonus for melee moves in RE5 and that was change for good. I think any system that will give you extra time, which could potentially turn into extra points is great in these types of modes, as it leaves room for improving ones highscore and extends the limits of what is possible per stage in general. I felt in RE5 that system made it so, that people kept improving scores for a long time until eventually they reached the limits. That was great scoring system design for sure.
What I like about RE4 now is the destructible environment which I feel can be used to your advantage in the village in mercenaries. I’m also wondering if Hunk will have his Mercenaries 3D attire. Would be sick. I also agree RE5 had the best mercenaries.
Yes, you bring up a good point with the destructible environment, that is definitely something which could influence how a run plays out. The physics in general are astonishing in this game. I really hope they give HUNK his Psy-Kick from Mercenaries 3D as well. That was a a great melee move. I hope that they draw some inspiration from RE5 Mercenaries for this game. Hope to see you again on this channel mate. Until then: Pleasant travels! :D
@@THEMERCENARIESTV Well with you now being able to perform Leon's two leg-shot melee moves depending on whether you're in front or behind unlike OG RE4, I think it's safe to say they took some inspiration from RE5 for this game's mechanics and hopefully that will follow suit for mercenaries.
@@TitanicTitan26 Yes, I'm very curious what other inspirations they took for Mercenaries. Hopefully they have included a system for gaining extra time by melee moves or knife actions.
Yeah it just felt like Raid mode with a timer which imo wasn’t very good because I had to hunt enemies in different rooms which means if I miss a room it messes up my score. I did like the power ups tho and the breaks between stages to go to the duke and upgrade weapons.
Yes. But by trying to merge Raid Mode with Mercenaries, they didn't achieve a great system imo. Raid mode just isn't very arcade like and always was more about collecting weapons and other loot. I personally didn't like Raid Mode very much, because it was just a grind for loot with no real point to it, while Mercenaries you actually had a score that represents a player's skill level. I still remember the good old days when there was a flourishing community that did compete with each other for World Records. Hopefully this mode can bring that back and maybe inspire Capcom to take care of The Mercenaries in the future. There are so many missed opportunities with this mode.
I'm hoping we get 2 kind of side games though (besides separate ways ofc) that is Merc mode and Raid mode with Raid mode can be played with co-op (and single) and Merc is for single only mode. But I know they won't do that... Just a dream though. Edited: But if they make Merc mode can be played with co-op I'm already more than happy although single only is fine too.
Thats some good leaks, I just want online Co-op mode, otherwise i will be very disappointed if they don't add that in. Having co-op will extend this games lifespan for years to come.
Random content drops for mercs, even if small could help keep interest in the game in-between bigger updates like the rumoured Separate Ways expansion. If the mode turns out good it'd be nice to maybe see recreations of classic mercs maps from other RE games like public assembly.
@@TitanicTitan26 Yes, that would be great. I mean, let's be honest, the best thing would be if Capcom would finally produce a Mercenaries standalone game featuring all maps and characters from all games and adding uppon it. With the recent direction of Remakes and especially now with the Remake of RE4, it seems more likely than ever before, that interest in Mercenaries would go up again.
That system made sense in RE3's Merc mode I think, but does not translate well into the iterations since RE4 though, which became way more about action and mastering the combat system. But who knows what the future will hold in store.

Question do you know if re4 remake will have co-op at all ?
@@clarkkent4565 We don't know so far. It would be great, but I wouldn't get my hopes up to high.

I'm just hoping HUNK still have his signature neck breaker melee.
Resident Evil Village Mercenaries was more like Raid Mode but with only 6 Stages

I hope it has co-op for mercenaries. I still play RE5 mercenaries to this day with friends. They've never surpassed the co-op mercenaries with RE5.

Just want to note that The merchants "time to cause some mayhem" line plays when buying the infinite rocket launcher
Sure, but it sounds like it is spoken through a megaphone or something during the trailer, so he might be the commentator for Mercenaries, who knows.

It wont. If you seen the leak images, it the same as OG 4.
Would be cool if they went back to a RE3 style mercenaries (OG) and have you rescuing random NPC’s

No.
No multiplayer ☹️
