enjoyed the video one thing didn't show was if the battery is glued in place or it is removable? I have a 2018 unit and the battery has failed contemplating spending $299 for a new unit or seeing if I can find a new battery for about $30.
The battery is not glued as shown in the video. It is not easy to get there. I would spend $30 for a compatible one.👍
@@fayron_globalEnded up having to buy a new unit, no one carries a replacement battery. They either have 2 sets of 2 cables or just 2 wires. I wonder if running it off poe causes the battery failure and using USB would alleviate the problem.
Hi, I honestly don't think the POE is the problem. Have you tried to hear from Ubiquity? Have you not been able to find a compatible battery? You saw from the video it is not easy to open it however it is feasible to replace the battery.
True, it is not so easy to find and it is not provided by Ubiquity. We have no choice but to buy a new product. 🤦♂️
@@fayron_globalbattery is not needed anymore. I would run the battery cable outside and keep the battery externally.

Don't replace it, it doesn't need it. Just remove it and dispose of safely.
