club volleyball at uchicago | scrimmage vlog

HI!!! my buddies and i started a volleyball club at uchicago and wanna share our scrimmage experience with you all! we're unofficial since uchicago has some annoying rules about not allowing club sports to exist if a varsity team for that sport exists... but we went ahead and got a group of girls together anyway! enjoy! :)

Wow! I’m an incoming student at u of c this fall. Are there other clubs like this (ex. basketball) that students made on their own?
Also is there an audition to join ur volleyball club?!

welcome!:) yes there are SO many clubs! sports clubs are more difficult since uchicago has this annoying rule where if there’s a varsity sport, there can’t be a club, but there are lots of other options to play! for volleyball specifically- we have tryouts in the fall!

question same city and im a junior in hs do u know of any places where i can join a team during the summer? or just any open gym? my season is going on as we speak but I'm just looking for a place to play the sport i love.

omg! over the summer when my school friends were gone, i had to find places to play, so i gotchu!!! grabagame has open gyms (kinda pricy tho) with different levels, ppl randomly set up grass/beach pick up all the time (there r lots of fb groups for this!), center in halsted in boystown has open gyms monday/thursday 6-9 (pretty good level!), and chinatown has open gyms (if you’re asian/know someone from the group LOL)
