Oh gawd the memories....man I remember going out after seeing this interview many years ago and getting a scarf similar to hers, I bought a lot of my clothes back then that I felt mirrored her style....I even wore my hair like hers with the flower on the side....I thought she was so pretty smart talented and her music and voice gave me hope back then and still does now♥️however I’ve since changed styles since I’m older now but i still think to this day that no other singer compares to Amy she’s one of the greats❤️

Amy has always been the lyricist for Evanescence and the majority of their songs are about her own personal experiences and pain. Ben was definitely amazing when it came to programming and writing catchy guitar riffs to go along with Amy's dark and heartfelt lyrics. Stop discrediting Amy and saying that Ben was the one who made the concept of Evanescence alone. It was the talent of both of them + David Hodges which made Evanescence eventually.

The album's success was lightening in a bottle and Ben was not the reason. Ben comercialized aspects of the album as that was his priority in conjunction with the label, but everyone of the public who loved Evanescence and helped Ev succeed was primarily enchanted by Amy's voice and melodie, even detractors who disliked the copy-paste one-note guitar of mediocre guitarist Ben or didn't consider them heavy enough. Amy and her voice, melodies, lyrics, musicianship was always what the majority of fans connected with and what got Ev the most attention, and the only thing that made Ev standout amongst all the stuff on the radio that was mostly driven by the rap rock/nu metal-lite sound Ben imitated on guitar. Ben was always jealous Amy got most of the attention, since before Fallen, and that's why he often tried to diminish her, her vision and contributions, not to mention that he has always been a toxic, physically and verbally abusive, drug-addicted, controlling a-hole, and has abused multipIe women.
