Hello thanks for the video! Say you wanted to change just the red to a specific yellow on an image can you use the eyedropper tool while in recolor artwork?
I would suggest that if you have a specific colour you want to change, say a blue to a specific red, you would be best having the colour values to hand (RGB/CMYK for example) or have the new colour saved as a swatch. Then when you select your artwork you will be able to change the Recolor dialogue mode to advanced and reveal the currently selected colours in a list. You can then assign your new colour from the right-hand side of the list to alter a specific colour in your selected artwork. Hi Rob. You will have to be using the 2021 version of Illustrator (released in October 2020) in order to use the new recolor features. You will also need to place a linked image into your illustrator document (such as a JPG), which must be visible in the image window so that you can click on it. This should allow you to access the features. Hope it helps? 😎
@@shaped-by-design Thanks for the fast response. I have tried exactly that and when I go to the recolour palette I don't have the colour theme picker button at all. I an using version 24.3 downloaded straight from adobe, is that the most unto date version? Thanks for your help
