Thank you so much for this I’ve been trying to find the last book in this series finally I can complete flashman it’s definitely the best book series I’ve ever read and I’ve learned so much about writing after all of this definitely how to make a unwilling charter go alone with the plot lol
A great reading, but "Pathans" shouldn't be pronounced to rhyme with "Athens", nor would a subaltern of Native Horse be Indian, he'd be British. The King's Commission ( as it was by then ) wasn't opened to Indians until 1918. So....ermm..no need for the awful attempt at an Indian accent for a subaltern of Native Horse who couldn't possibly have been Indian. It helps when you're reading something out loud if you actually have some understanding of the material. Other than those grating moments, an excellent reading.
I was in a Covid isolation avmp for two weeks in a thrid world country. Listening to Flash kept me somewhat sane through that. Cheers.
I've listened to 3 Flashman audiobooks recently after initially reading most of the series 15 to 20 years ago. Pretty, pretty good!
I will always regret GMF passed away before he could finish a book on flashman's service in the American Civil War (both sides, of course).
@@VanderlyndenJengoldis that a curb reference on top of a flashman comment❤
@@rickymearns3685 YES!
Any chance you have The Pyrates audiobook by GMF? Can’t get it in The States.
"Says I".... that gets me everytime!!
