  • After seeing and holding a Coletti percolator and then going to their website to see what they are all about as a company, they had me. This is a Veteran owned company that has some well planted Christian Roots.
I decided to upgrade after camping with some buddies who had this percolator, I was instantly sold on the style and the quality. You be the judge. (This is not a sponsored video. I just like it )
    Check out their site

Coletti makes a great percolator. I have been using the Coletti Butte Percolator and love it. The thing to remember with the wood handle is always have that facing away from the fire. Sounds simple, but it is easy to forget when you are cold and just want some coffee.

That would be perfect if it had 1) folding butterfly handles instead of the wood handle, and 2) a hanging bail. A few years ago Bob Bartleme of Blue Anvil forge (he did the copperware for the movie The Revenant) made me a little 4 cup copper coffee pot with a bail and folding handles. It makes cowboy coffee as it has no percolator innards, but it is a thing of great beauty and makes awesome coffee.

Thanks for the comment and the wonderful information on the copperware. I knew Coletti makes one with a nail handle. It's just larger that what I want.
      Take care.

My input was that this Coletti unfortunately cannot be edge-hung by the handle or placed in a campfire..as well as the lack of a bail. What I am looking for is a perc pot that I can nest a canister, and stove, and mug inside.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Coletti in action. I love the gear videos and thanks for the shout out brother.

    I got the
COLETTI Butte Camping Coffee Pot - Campfire Coffee Pot - Stainless Steel Coffee Maker for Outdoors or Stovetop (14 CUP)
back in February of 2019 for less than forty bucks.
The way I look at most “camp cooking containers” is, I can put 2 quarts in a 3 quart pot BUT, I can’t put 3 quarts in a 2 quart pot. Unless space is at a premium, the 3 quart pot (or 14 cup percolator, as the case may be) will almost always win out.

Just needs a removable or folding handle.
