I think you can see here that Mr. Fiennes was a bit nervous giving this speech. But I don't think any less of him for it. Far from it, in fact... Apart from his acting, the thing I like most about Ralph Fiennes is that in person he seems quite shy and anxious; he seems vulnerable. It's just so reassuring to know that someone as famous and as accomplished as he is has worries and insecurities like the rest of us.
***** I agree 100% with you. Ralph has said in an interview that he has had small panic attacks in the past. It just shows that he's a normal, but very talented man. He's gotten so far in his career and has achieved so much by just being himself and doing what he loves to do.
I'd read that before about his having panic attacks, and when I did my heart went out to him. There was a period in my life when I had panic attacks, and they are horrible; I wouldn't wish them on anyone. Yet I do think it proves, once again, that Ralph is a man with insecurities like anyone else might have; and like I said before I do find it reassuring.
