One of the most fun legendaries ever printed for sure.
Glad it also has cool animation and quote too!
However if it ever becomes a really common meta card it may be annoying to deal with infinite secretes
I love rogue, but this card in wild is on the next level of frustration.

It was kinda lucky that the opponent didn't give it more thought. Many players, including me, would probably be intimidated by all the secrets that we wouldn't try to play around them, but seeing the Rogue having that many Rogue secrets in play, the likelyhood of one of them being Bamboozle is actually high.
With the power of youtube, I have a lot more time to think about that interaction, and I'd have attacked the 1/3 Hanar with the small dude first, and if it didn't transform or die, then I'd have attacked the sheep with the 3/2 Apprentice. This would force bamboozle on Hanar, or ensure that Bamboozle isn't there so I can force other secrets on the sheep.
This, of course, doesn't actually kill Hanar, and clearing out the secrets just gives room for more, so while the play itself would be self-defeating, it would be one way around the secrets. The real answer is to not play into the secrets the first time around, until you can pop all of the important secrets at the same time.
Man, this would be so disgusting in a Mill Rogue.

@@jasonly1925 yes maxed at 5, but as you can see from dane's game, u can easily make 2-3 of them to trigger every turn.

i think they give rogues the most interesting legendaries because rogues are typically the most crafty and cunning class
Paladin's secret: cheap, can be drawn and played quickly.
Hunter's secret: interact with enemy minions.
Mage's secret: has a lot of value.
Rogue's secret: annoying.

Interesting. I thought the discover would always be from a class that isn't your own. But the choice was always 1 from each class other than the class of the secret that you played.
Yep I think most people got that mixed up initially including myself.
Mysterious Challenger's boss at work
When I built my first Rogue after Ashes, I made it a Quest Rogue, my rationale being that Hanar discovers from different classes and thus can complete my quest for me. Turns out, in like 20 games he actually added once to the quest and even completed it in that game, but in the other games the quest was completed before he hit the mat. Also turns out that he is extremely fun and pretty strong and just works pretty well.
One of the most fun cards this expansion for sure! This was great and I'm really looking forward to the next vid 😄
Rarely do I genuinely laugh out loud when watching videos but that first game was so funny haha. The mages frustration was so tangible I could feel it through my screen haha. Hilarious! Hail Hanar! Huzzah!

The way the text on Hanar read, i just assumed if you play a secret you discover a secret that isn't a rogue secret because that how it is with the other cards, you discover/get a card from a class that isn't rogue.
But this is so much better. You play a secret from any of the 4 classes and then get to discover a secret from one of the other 3.
It also makes it more skill intensive I'd say. You can't play a mage secret if you really want to discover ice block for example.

Save atleast 1 secret until you draw him
And if u really want it... druid can draw kealthas from the piper... that's an option for an "only Hanar" oriented deck... anyway u have minstrel, dirty tricks, coldlight oracle if u want to mill to... drawing in wild isn't a problem

Secret Rogue is surprisingly good in wild. Just the normal secret package with tempo tools or with a galakrond package works.
Did not try highlander secret rogue and dont really want too. I am starting to dislike the concept of Zephyrs and highlander.

You can't have more than 5 active secrets at a time. But it would be interesting to watch this combo.

This us trap room level of frustration from dungeon run, but even more annoying because the secret is controlled by human just like a master mind.
And the trap room can be out smarted by not playing any card and fatigued the trap room, but with this hanar you just can't do nothing
Is Hanar correctly coded? Because on his text it says "Discover a Secret from a different class", notwithstanding, he still shows you Rogue Secrets.

It’s different from the one you play so for example:
I play a Rogue secret, it shows me a Mage, Paladin, and Hunter secret.
If I play a Mage secret it shows me a Rogue, Paladin, and Hunter secret.
The "different class" actually refers to the secret you play : if you play for example, Hanar will offer you a choice between a Mage, a paladin and a hunter secret
I guess that's when you play a non-rogue secret.
The wording is weird. It really should be: when you play a secret, discover a secret from a different class (than the secret you just played). So if you just played a Hunter secret, he will not let you discover another Hunter secret. But you can discover Rogue secrets as long as you didn't just play a Rogue secret.

Yeah Babamboozle is also really good except when Hanar is out :P My guess is that Cheat Death is the other secret he'll highlight.

@@Gimmemine59 For sure and after looking at the pool there really aren't many bad 9 drops in standard the worst being Mogu Fleshaper, Sathrovar, and Yiesel which make Flik, Kronx, and Baron great bamboozle targets :O
