He’s got over 200 shrimp tanks in his house ua-cam.com/video/xKH1ABcN6-g/v-deo.html
Sunlight is amazing for shrimp coloration.
Agreed, it's the best!
Should I keep them in shade ? I’m in California and the summers get kinda wild plus we get all the fires in my area will ash hurt them?
Come hang out LIVE TONIGHT (Friday 4/9) with me, Big Tank Hank, and other fish keepers! ua-cam.com/video/u_lhBTtiikE/v-deo.html
Those cherry shrimp are so red! It's lovely you can keep them outside like that...they'd freeze to death in no time here lol. I'm tempted to get a few cherry shrimp for my aquarium (in the flat though, no freezing haha!) 😊
yep the best shrimp success I have ever had is in my two gallon bucket chuck full of java moss and no substrate, I keep it inside, in the sun, during the winter and outside, in the sun, in the summer...not one water change in well over two years...just add water as needed...and I have hundreds of shrimp in there. so fun and easy.
Less is more sometimes!
Omg he's back 😂👍
guess who's back, back again
Cherry shrimp can easily be cultured outside, I'm not sure why they aren't more popular for ponds, because they should be! Also mississippi grass shrimp should be more popular too, cold hardy and good algae eaters.
"Wanna know what kind of filter is in here? NONE. Wanna know when I do water changers? NEVER!" My man!!!
LAST TIME WE SEEN YOU. YOU WERE FISH FLAIR AND ROLLING ON THE GROUND.. HOW WAS RECOVER FROM THAT VIDEO🤣
THEM CHERRYS 🍒 DANG 🤯🔥🔴
When I jumped about an inch and a half off the ground it knocked the wind out of me for 4 months 😂🤣😂
Awesome Ryan.. I'm gonna try an outdoor shrimp setup this summer. Still loving my calico bristlenose from you! 🙌
Best of luck with the shrimp this summer, glad to hear it!
6:45 Ha! That gentleman is I! Glad the Reds bred so true for you! I'll have to get some from you my tub crashed this summer and I didnt have them in any other tanks or tubs :( Are you going to the ALA convention in late October?
Heeeeeey what's good homie..
Damn notifications, havnt seen your channel on my algorithm In a minute.
(In case you see this, im the guy that always said you sounded like Seth Rogan😏)
Too hot for rice fish and white clouds?
Possibly too hot for the white clouds but not for the rice fish
We need more Wild Fish Tanks! Glad you posted. Great video.
Love your channel. And of course started my aquarium co-op obsession cause of you! 😂 learned so much from you guys! Much love from ATL
I'd keep that swampy patch it will be great for mosquitos which will feed the fish in the tubs
Are you feeding these tanks? And if so what are you feeding your shrimp?
The shrimp ate all of the baby fry fish. If you want to breed fish keep shrimp out...
I had a 10 gallon that I neglected and the shrimp just multiplied all I did was fill up the water there was like 1000
I’m going to be unboxing the 10 super reds I got from you. Will be here later today. I’m super excited. Thanks you!
Thanks for the support, I hope they are doing well!
Was looking thru your recent or most recent past 30-40 videos or so and wow I have missed ALOT!
And a thought occurred to me while I was scrolling thru, bro... Your very, and I mean VERY underrated, and seriously under viewed compared to other channels out there. Please keep up the solid format man, this is what youtube hobby related content SHOULD be about. So sick of alot of these so called "Fish-Tubers" that originally plan to be an informational aquarium related channel to all the sudden they think they are some kind of Hollywood heros, 97% of those videos feature the channel creators with the camera in there face. They go from diy, info, hobby, etc content to "hey guys, here's what is going on with my personal life" for 15-20 minutes an upload. Some of them make that first 200 bucks from getting monitized to all the sudden they think they are Joe Rogan or Some other huge channel lol
Nice..... Thank you for sharing ✌
What do you feed them or do you never feed them cause there is more algae as there is sunlight
Subscribed within 10 seconds
So does the mosquito larvae just breeds with the shrimp tub or are there no mosquitoes there at all??
mazing shrimp results
No filter or heater on the shrimp tub??
Does it count as a shout out if you can’t remember their name?
Last summer I was doing great with my redcap medaka until a leopard frog jumped in and ate all but three. GAHH!
Ooof!!! Those are pretty fish!
Well they keep that colour if you move then inside
For the most part, yes. Many factors play into the color including genetics, food, background/substrate color, stress, lighting, etc. I moved a bunch to a 10 gallon in the garage and they held their color just fine
I was just saying the other day how much I missed your videos! I hope you had a relaxing break. Getting ready for a new tubbing season- looking forward to it as I will have more space this year!
Appreciate that Melissa. Best of luck to you in this upcoming tubbing season!
Do you ever sell any of the Miyuki Medaka Rice Fish? I've been looking for some and can never find any!
I’m hoping to have some on WildFishTanks.com by the end of the year
So happy to see you back. I actually just bought some bluefin killifish. I was wondering if you think breeding them with plecos would be ok. Very planted tank and only those two species
I think that would work. I don’t see the blue fin Killifish bothering the Pleco‘s or vice versa. You would need to be quick to collect the eggs though. They would scatter them in the moss or mop and after time either the parents or the plecos would probably pick them off. I would remove the moss or spawning mop once they lay the eggs in it.
I live in Sebring, are there any places in this area where I can catch some feral Goldfish?.Please,I would appreciate any tips that You could tell Me.
Sorry, I have never been to Sebring
@@WildFishTanks Is there any place that You of in central florida where wild goldfish can definitely be caught?
Yeah! Vidios!
Beautiful super red shrimp, and no water change? I didn't think that was possible with shrimp. Also, did you say that shrimp will survive with ice on the top layer of its water? That's amazing!
My grandma just surprised me with a new orchid plant I like to keep them near my turtle tank pond thing it looks so good and then this video happens best day ever
I also got to skip schoooool
I need to step up my pond plant game!
Those Shrimp are looking good. Hit me up bro.
Thanks man, appreciate it
When you get a chance hit me up on IG @ Royal_Fish_Aquatics
"A little less beer and a lot more fish" 😂😂 one of the best aquarist quotes I've ever heard.
Awesome stuff dude :) thanks for all the content
How’s it going? Love the videos and the shrimp! Are you in Orlando? I just started my channel, and I am also in Orlando. Would love to chat if you have the time
Congrats on the channel, yes I’m in the Orlando area
Those red shrimp look fabulous. Those new tubs should work wonders.
First few minutes of the video and it's pretty clear you have grown your operation quite a bit, I remember when you first got on to do doing the pleco-factories and was beginning to fill out the garage 👍👍
Nice job on the tubs. I have had my tub running all winter, gold fish in the horse/ cattle tub to handle the green water and insects. Have to run a heater on it any way get two years out of them before I move them to the pond and start over with smaller fish.
how do you cycle those tubs?
I had set them up originally like three years ago and let them age
You really had those shrimp tubs dialed in. It's amazing how bright red your are. Beauties!!!
I’m starting to follow in your footsteps and tackle some corydoras too
Those cherry shrimp look amazing
Ryan, with rice fish you are better off moving the parents out after three weeks. Lots of babies will follow, and there won’t be any parents to eat them😀
Cheers,
Chris
Yeah I think keeping Medaka in ponds is awesome but breeding them that way isn’t the most effective
Nice tubs!
Thank you
Those shrimp... DAYUM!
Nature does amazing things!
Lost guppies when you lost air to the tub as well? Never knew guppies had to have a oxygen running. Glad I saw this, I guess I assumed they were kinda like bettas and gourami's.. nice
Once the air was gone and the Pleco started going, the water quality went south really quickly so everything was a total loss
Do you have channel/logo stickers getting everyone's gonna do something cool
I do have channel stickers. I typically send them out with orders placed at WildFishTanks.com. I’ll have some to give out an aquashella in Orlando as well
I wanted to begin or atleast attempt to begin breeding shrimp myself with the goal to use any proceeds from selling shrimp online to fund my aquarium hobby comeback but sadly have not quite started yet. Any thoughts on this? Saw a video once of a guy who went to 3-4 different places to buy his initial breeding stock and within a month or two he was off and rolling, guy was flipping shrimp like crazy and sure enough after a little time and plenty of work he was able to do exactly what I ld like to do and make a small shrimp investment pay for my aquarium hobby overall.
Also...
Almost forgot, he had a couple different kinds of snails he was producing as well, wish I could remember the species but do know he was getting a buck each for the snails and he quickly had thousands to sell...
“Breeding for profit” as they say is a bit of a hit and miss. I think it’s more like the stock market having to bet on different fish. It works best to build a name for yourself so that people trust you. It’s a difference between buying a used car from a reputable dealer vs a stranger off the street. The stranger off the street is going to have to sell for less, even the exact same product. If that stranger gains reputation however, they could potentially add value to the product even if it is still very similar or the same. Think of a guitar played by a famous person for instance. You also need very good business skills and marketing skills in addition to fish breeding skills. There’s no playbook but Some people just get going and figure it out
Wow! Those White Clouds are amazing!
Cheers,
Chris
Hey Chris, hope all is well! I’ve been collecting Medaka eggs everyday for past 3 or 4 days :)
How to control mosquito larvaes in the shrimp tubs, pls help
I always keep small fish like Guppy or rice fish in my shrimp tubs
@@WildFishTanks thanks for the reply but don't they eat shrimplets?
@@souravchowdhury1101 It is possible that they could eat some of the smaller shrimp but I keep them together all the time and they both breed
@@WildFishTanks thanks a ton 👍
Man oh man those red cherries are burning my eyes with how beautiful they look!!! Question though, how do you keep mosquitoes down in just cherry tubs? I feel it would just blow up with mosquitoes in the yard without fish to get rid or them?!?!
I keep guppy or rice fish in all the tubs with the shrimp
Missed the vids man, great to see you back ❤️. You’ve been teasing with all the Instagram content lol can’t wait for more videos 😬😜
Plenty of videos to come, if you follow Instagram you know I’ve been busy
A great video update. Thanks for sharing
Appreciate you checking it out Rob!
How do you keep the tubs from overflowing when it rains? I want to try tubbing!
With DIY overflows using uniseals, I did a video on it here: ua-cam.com/video/PiVusrcxwaA/v-deo.html

Thanks jake, appreciate it
Wow those shrimp are amazing congrats 🍾
Thank you pb!
How many cherry shrimp did you start the tub out with?
A lot less than that haha. I’m don’t know for sure but less than 15-20
Great video, nice to see you back on UA-cam.
Thanks Darrell, appreciate you hanging in there

With a house full of Great Danes that pup barking in the background has made watching this video a challenge..lol.. I'm saving this one for later.. 😉
I can only imagine how deafening that is
