- You Won't Believe What We Found!! | Louisiana Purchase State Park | Arkansas Park Sits Atop Swamp
We visited Arkansas and found the cornerstone of the official Louisiana Purchase State Park, but while there we learned some incredible things first hand in the place of their occurrence. You won't believe it until you see it!!

I know you’ve probably heard this hundreds of times but I would’ve loved it if you were my history teacher. You just bring things to life in a unique way and it makes me interested in what you’re talking about. I’m pretty sure I saw more of the back of my eyelids in school during history class than I did the actual learning portion, but I would’ve stayed awake if my teacher looked acted and sounded like you. You are fun and schools could take a few suggestions from how you format the things that you share with us. It makes it intriguing and as an adult I am really enjoying learning about the history.
Thank you so much!! I find it to be essential for us all to learn from the past to make better tomorrows but that means we have to engulf ourselves in the stories and finding a unique way to make them resonate and stick with us helps us better understand the overarching themes we were taught. So often those were more vague and less interesting because they didn't share the pieces which made them relatable today. I try to do that through a common sense history approach. When we see the world through the eyes of others we relate more to it.
Another awesome video, you make listening to our history so much more pleasing. ❤❤
Thank you so much! My goal has always been to share things that happen in our past, so that we can better understand this world that we live in. There are so many incredible places, but some of them have really strange things that have happened in the past and rather than avoiding them we can get up close and personal, and know them better so that we can also see how they factor into the bigger picture of the reality we live in today. I have several other really interesting history videos coming up but I think everyone will enjoy
Eeek! Not so sure I would take that boardwalk….so thank you for showing and sharing it.
I do not like snakes what’s ever!
Hugs
I definitely think it’s worth it to come out but if you have the same fear that I do maybe come during winter. The last time that I was here I didn’t see anything and it was warmer, so there were more mosquitoes but at the same time always always being aware that these things exist is important.
Thanks for the info, always appreciate looking back on things I have learned. Have a nice day 👍
I always enjoy being able to share things like this because I think that when we get the bigger picture and we see the places that they happen, it helps us to put the context into place a bit more. I’m so glad that you’ve enjoyed these videos I have lots of cool history coming up as I continue to travel.
😂 I was waiting for the eeeek!!!
Like the new format for the history. Will this be something you do more regularly?
Yes... i am going to be focusing more on being able to share some of the historic photos and such in these places... the integration of the modern and the past helps everyone experience it more
Great grand father work with Lasalle ❤ have lot to say Mississippi valleys..
One minute you were there, and the next you were GONE 🤣
Fast like I’m trying to set a new world record lol
😂Oh I would Believe anything You say !😂❤
Beautiful swamp. ¿Where there many mosquito 🦟🦟?
When we visited, there were not, however, in the warmer months, there are a ton. Whenever I went the last time it was during the warmer months and it was definitely a mosquito fest.
So it's best to go in the early spring 👍
That was awesome I live in Arkansas never been there
Super small stop but definitely worth the trip also while you’re in the area, go and check out the mounds that are nearby
I also have lived here 72 years and haven’t been there. It bears looking at!😊
