Well done to your son and the mens team on their first place and well done for filming while running. I still find it hard work and near the end when I’m tired I have to force myself to turn it back on again to finish the footage 🤦🏻♀️
I agree, Rachel, it's hard work. And if I try to run faster I make it so shaky. I still use my phone. I can't even imagine what it's like to hold a GoPro on the stick all the time. How do people do it? Also how do you know what the GoPro is actually filming, because you can't see what is in its vision? On the phone you see it on the screen. I only take a phone out of my bum bag occasionally to video a few seconds shots, but I also miss good bits sometimes too because the phone is in my bum bag during a run. I got myself a wireless microphone today so I won't be tied to the wire now. It was so dangerous to have this wire flying around, I once got it caught on the fence and I fell (when I was filming that Solstice run. I didn't put this in the video, not to worry my mum. She watches my videos.) I signed myself up for the FRA Navigation course for a weekend in September in the Lake District. I hope you are well. Have you got any races coming up?
@@OlgasBritishFells - that sounds a bit dangerous with a wire for your mic, but glad you’ve upgraded 😀 I’ve never run with a go pro but I think they have a very little screen so you can see what your filming. My camera just has a lens and no screen but because the camera angle is so wide, as long as I point it in the right direction, then I get the shot I want. Also I can choose what picture angle works best when I upload the separate videos, so I’ve not really had a problem with it having a screen to view the shot while I’m filming. It makes my camera really small and really light to carry. That sounds great you have a navigation course booked for September. I’ve seen lots advertised on a website I book races from. That would make a great video of your experience of the course, if it’s something you wanted to do. I’ve got an update video due out maybe Monday, and there are a few races I have my eye on but I can’t make up my mind! Too many races at the moment. I want to do them all 😀
Hi Olga , nice to see that you continued your channel. I was concerned when you posted last week saying that you were finishing on UA-cam and never wanted a channel but I guess everything resolved itself and you decided to carry on as you have removed that video now so everything must be OK 🙂👍 I think it's good, like you said in this video that you are posting to keep a memory of these races and for new people to see what a race looks like. I actually like watching them because we get to see the countryside of where the runs are too . So thanks for recording :) Have a great weekend :) ~ Anna
I totally agree with all the positive comments that you have decided to carry on filming although you can not film the fast one . Your videos are brilliant just like they are now , with photos contributions from Greg O. Andrew F. and Simon S. and the usual robust commentary . I could spot in the film several familiar faces and my friend Andy Holden , a great character .
