    A great start to a Monday morning! I was talking along with you! I cleaned my sink, work surface, windows, doors and window sills. I'm so glad I found you and your FlyLady systems. You are absolutely right, as soon as you start cleaning this way it doesn't take ages. Brilliant stuff!!! X

    I'm so glad I found you, too. This method of cleaning has made a huge difference in my home already and I still I'm babysteps.

    Hi Diane! I've been doing the morning and evening routines for sometime now and today I realized the morning routine has become something of a second nature. I wake-up take a shower, swish and swipe the bathroom, take the laundry down stairs and start a lol, empty dishwasher, start breakfast for the kids while I have my coffee. If I ever skip one step I feel something is missing and I go ahead and do it even if I don't feel like it. The evening routine is not so ingrained yet but I use Instagram as a motivation to do it. The whole community you've build around your channel is a great support especially when you don't get much feedback from those around you. But I am doing this firstly for myself and hopefully in time as you said it repeatedly it will rub off onto other members of my family. I have a big problem with long term commitment and didn't think I will get to this point one day. Only this two routines make such a big difference! Thank you for your work and support!

      Wow, that is great, Diana! I really love the Instagram community we have too...I struggle with things too, and it's really nice to know that I'm not the only one here! LOL

    Always a joy Diane, no matter how long or short your videos are! In 20 mins I cleaned the stove top, washed up, put on a LOL😁, swept and steam mopped the kitchen floor (I love my steam mop!). Go me!

    Got an Instant Pot last week! Same one you have. Loving it so far! Such a time saver when I made butternut squash soup and my hubby is happy to have oatmeal b-fast hot and ready in the morning; I set out fresh cut up fruit, toasted coconut, chopped nuts or raisins... etc. Going to use for "boiled" eggs today for the kiddos I nanny. Thanks for that oatmeal idea in the magic timer post.

    You make us " smile on a daily basis." So guess we don't need the S & P mills that light up. But they are so cute. Thank you for my morning smile.

    It's so easy and pleasant to clean with you! I enjoy cleaning - and that's a first! You made it so easy to clean my kitchen this weekend. Thank you so much for your videos. I'm not going to recognize cleaning self in 6 months! :)

    Finally attached an extender to my feather duster and it's not as 'not so pretty' as I thought it would be - but most importantly, it's now a FANTASTIC tool! Dusting during WHB was completed in no time at all. Thanks Diane for the tip and go me! 😊

    Besides decluttering, what else will you do in Zone 2 this week? Do you have a routine to deep clean the zone one day, declutter another? I worked my way through the baby steps and the weekly home blessing, and I'm starting to wrap my brain around the zones!! So glad I found your channel I love it!

    Hi Diane, Cheers from Australia. First time in this zone for me. I have finished my daily routines now becoming an enjoyable habit ( things just seem to be getting cleaner and cleaner thanks to the daily swish and swipe) and also my weekly home blessing but wasn't sure what to do in this zone. Thanks for the guide. Any tips on cleaning the extractor/ exhaust fan covers/filters if you don't have a dish washer? Ha ha ... I have always cut my steel wool in half also haha and then put them in a sandwich bag in the freezer so they don't rust and I can use them again, and I boil lemons in my kettle to clean it and leave over night.I must have Scottish relatives. :) As always you are a delight.

    I always got grossed out when Mom cleaned her coffee pot with vinegar. 🤢😂 Glad u found a less gaggy alternative. 👏🏻😂 Loved your Star Wars noise salt n pepper gadgets. I am also easily amused by this kind of thing. It's the simple pleasures. 🙌🏻😊😂

    Thanks for the videos! Question: I was doing my weekly home blessing hour this morning. I set my timer and was running around doing my seven tasks in the main area of my home. I found myself going really fast and was banging the vacuuming cleaner on the corner of the walls and then saw that I dented one of the sideboards. Just as I was finishing my weekly home blessing the timer went off and I put my head up and looked around and saw that everything was done and the house looked amazing! At the end I felt blessed looking around at my house but then when I walked by and saw the dent I carelessly made while being stressed and wanting to quickly do the cleaning I felt like I did not bless my home at all... I feel like I just banged my house up and was stressed while doing it. All the bad energy I put in my house... It feels like I'll journalling now... hahaha. Anyways, I appreciated that you spoke on the meaning for the timer not to be a stressful thing but that it helps you to stay focused in the changing the sheets video. It definitely helps me to stay focused but my question is how can I do the home blessing without banging up my house and being stressed trying to finish it all in time.

    • @maggiefindmusic
      @maggiefindmusic 6 років тому +1

      Mrs.Bubba Bubba I was not stressed, but so focused when vacuuming last week, that I slammed my head on a marble windowsill. 😆 No permanent damage done (to me OR the windowsill) but certainly a good reminder to watch my perimeter lol

    • @LunitasMommy
      @LunitasMommy 6 років тому +1

      Mrs.Bubba Bubba don't stress if you don't get it all done in one day. There is always tomorrow.

    • @DianeinDenmark
      @DianeinDenmark  6 років тому +2

      I'm sorry to hear that! And I think you just answered your own question...yes, the timer is there to help us to keep focused, and to stop us from that feeling of having to get *everything* done *all the time*. I've had a lot of guilt in the past about wasting food (because I didn't plan ahead), wasting money (because I was late returning library books) etc but I have learned to forgive myself and I remind myself that, now, I am going forward and making better decisions etc. Please don't beat yourself up about the sideboard - focus on the fact that you are looking after your home! Hugs!

      They are from the brand Peugeot (the people who also make cars...)

      Diane in Denmark, I learned to drive in a Peugeot car (504 -standard transmission), even tho I grew up in upstate New York! Our family car was a Peugeot 504 then a 505. Then I bought a Peugeot bicycle to take to college w/ me. My Dad's best friend at work was from Switzerland and I think that's how he got turned on to Peugeots. I may search for those salt & pepper mills as a gift for him 😀. We like the griffin symbol.
