I had a good friend in college that was deaf. I tried to learn sign language but that obviously takes time. We had SO much in common & language didn't get in our way. We both had the cool phone back then, the sidekick from T-Mobile. We just texted back & forth on them to communicate. It worked 🤷♀️

That probably falls under having a good app! All you needed was the text app. I think it's good to at least try to learn some of their language, plus sign language can be very useful for a lot of reasons!
I dated a partially deaf girl in my early 20s and basically now I find the deaf "accent" (for lack of a better word) kinda sexy lol. Granted it's a particular version since she was only partially deaf so it was only a slight "accent" so to speak lol

Geez I know the struggle of two kids birthdays being right next to each other. I have 3 cousins and all of their birthdays are exactly a week apart from each other. Then my stepdaughter and niece are a month apart with Christmas in-between them. Then it was my Mom's and dad's were a day apart, then 6 days later my younger stepbrother, 12 days later is my younger stepsister, and the next day is my stepmom. Cake all the time during certain months.
