This is what I miss about Price... back when the showcases had some effort put into them. Next to "how to Escape A blind Date", this was by far my favorite skit.
The Nitwork showcase--I dread to think what Mike Richards would do with it today if they still did showcase sketches.. but it'd probably involve James O'Halloran..
56:09 Yes, friends, it is the very same Japanese-joint American company that would, some time in the 1980s, create many successful video game consoles and its games. BTW, this was called the Sega-Vision, designed by Earl Muntz, a known businessman/engineer.
But now I know that Goodson/Fremantle gave them the authority to do so by leasing them rights. At the time of this comment, I did not understand anything.
I love the lady's facial expression when they said "A new backgammon" table :) So funny I was 5 when this aired...my Great Grandmother babysat me and she loved this show. TY for sharing these brings back so many great fond memories
If ever an episode deserved an award for outstanding direction, this is it. All those quick cuts, fast zooms, interesting camera angles, music timed perfectly, that cozy audience feeling ... nothing else compares, really. Marc Breslow was the REAL star of the show, IMO.
December 14, 1978 was when the green sections and bonus spin were added. The pink pricedown font dollar signs were added to the red panels of the big wheel the same day, that is the version of the big wheel that I grew up with. The round red mats were added in 1981.
I'm 43 today. not even born yet when this aired, Just one more week and I will be just a little baby --- wow !!! I remember that because when I came home from the hospital everyone had gone out to see Star Wars .... My dream is to play plinko one day and to spin the wheel before I turn 50. .
Gabrielle was also on Match Game (Syndicated) in 1981 - ( The Crazy Rachelle) Episode

Wow these were very OLD episodes, I wonder where are all these contestants at today 🤔🤔🤔
I love how they used to turn the showcases into corny sketches. That's so 1970's...and Dian was so hot in it!
Nothin' says 70s like Harvest Gold appliances!
Epic selling by Janice, Dian, Holly, and Johnny!
The hot dog cart i would have walked off & hand picked someone from the audience to take my place lol
1:00:15 - "Stay tuned for _Love Of Life,_ next over most of these CBS stations!"
The Nitwork showcase--I dread to think what Mike Richards would do with it today if they still did showcase sketches.. but it'd probably involve James O'Halloran..
Gabrielle came back on the show on Nov 23, 2021..
I lived in Culver City from 2002-2010. Why didn't I ever go to all these game shows?🤦😆

I always wondered how did GSN get copies of The Price is Right in 1977 and air them in the late 90s.
Yeah, i felt the same way by noticing the commercial breaks of mobile-phone and CD, which were the items hardly produced/used in 70s yet.
Really?

i know it's kind of off topic but do anybody know a good site to stream newly released movies online?
@Jaxtyn Martin try FlixZone. Just search on google for it =)
@Yousef Colten definitely, been watching on flixzone for years myself =)
@Yousef Colten thank you, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) I appreciate it!
@Jaxtyn Martin You are welcome :)
I hear the Family Feud theme tune in this episode, never knew they used that as a car cue before
1976 to 1985 I believe.
Everyone knew that. You’re dumb.
I like to see December 1978 episode of price is right if you have it
Lol at bob blaming the missed putt on getting a vaccine. About 44 years ahead of time 😆
"I've never missed a putt, audience, shut up."😂
That was the highest I've seen the actual price on Range Game. He could've let the Range finder go to the very end and would've still won

They definitely didn't want to give away that hot dog cart.
The hole in Hole in One looks a lot smaller than in later years.
Try this what episode of the price is right in which the big wheel has green sections
November 27th, I believe.

Thanks for the correction.
I would love to see that episode
14:47 Drat! Drat, drat, TRPILE DRAT! Even I could've made that putt so easy!
Whenever I pull the old $100 in the pocket trick I get in trouble! Bob Barker is a stud.
Buzzr tv will be having price is right bob barker 1977 reruns on buzzr in March 2019 100 percent
Where is it? I don't see it...
13:51 "Audience, shut up!" - - That wasn't a very nice thing to say.
But you could say that back then 🤣💯
I would say it on camera.
Saying what ones please is always a nice thing to do.....politically correctness was not a thing back then....im old enough to know that fact
He was saying it in a joking way
Some holier-than-thou schoolteachers would kick you out into the hallway for saying that...

.
Bob Barker was creepier back in those days. I started watching this show as a kid about 1981. In the 80s he was less creepy to the women.
Oh get over it!
He was creepy and rude to the contestants.
22:24 There is a 2 Missing on the 20.
04:13 I have no idea how to hold this thing, but i'm a Model !
54:39 I'm totally clueless about prices, i'll pass!!
very nice...fun show with all playets ....bob barker has a great heart...congrats!!! Showcase Winner...🙂😀👍👏👏👏🌠❤❤❤🌞🌈🐐
42:02 25 step close up
43:50 UH OH...
43:53 STOP!
43:57 CRASH!
44:01 real price: $50
@4:51, I wonder what the name of the NUMBER FONT is on that dial, I don't think it's COMPSTYLE
Peter Finch would be gloating over this!
I like the TPIR episodes like this one where the models wear outfits that are a little revealing.
wow they didn't usually have the price so high on the range finder. They must have gone more towards the middle after this.
Can we watch the price is right November 27 1978?
Was there really that many furs that were given away that season that GSN couldn't air any remaining episodes? It sounds really odd.
Would you happen to have that December 14, 1978 TPIR episode?
Bummer...
Bob Barker misses the putt much more often then he gets it in! Loved @ 18:50 It looks like he's had a few hot dogs under a big "gay umbrella"?
Dawn, in the thumbnail, resembles Debbie Linden, who appeared in BBC's 'Are You Being Served?' in 1981.
First year of golf game?
43:56 STOP HANS
El mejor programa
I love how Johnny shouts always "A NEW CAR!!!"
TV G thing is like station id bug for Game Show Network. That's weird
She got the. Back ground table anyway
WAIT A SECOND!!!! How is there a commercial for the Star Wars 20 year anniversary stamps in 1977??!!??!!
Simply because this is a 1998 GSN rerun!
29:35 did some skipping
Family fued music at 35:00 ????
24:00
24:10
This episode opens with the infamous Beatrice Hermine incident!
It really wasn’t an “incident”. Not like Susan Derbeck.
@@Thunderwing88 Or Nicole Thornbrough.
I always thought it was sexist of Bob to make the women reach in his pocket for the $100. He didn’t have the men do that.
Oh lighten up!
00:00:00 thanks for being here everybody, I'm Dave Nemeth, for GayWorld, we'll see you tomorrow....
