10 years ago my personal net worth was about $20 in my pocket and -$38,000 in student debt (Australia) today my net worth is about about 1mil and the business I started only requires about 20 hours of my attention a week, tops. The only major thing that has changed in my living space is I have a much nicer monitor and I have a fancy coffee cup that keeps drinks hot all day. I have a lamp with a broken shroud to my right and I am sitting in a chair I bought for $99. I don't understand people who waste their money on things that don't make them happy. How is a car that costs 10k a year to run gonna make you happy? How is a house you can't afford going to make you happy? I never understand.
who care how ppl live if you're happy nothing else matter ( im not talking about something so unhealthy that you are going to die in a few years if you continue some really bad habit like drugs )
I mean, it depends on what you think is bad, being financially irresponsible can have dire consequences. Even the top streamers will not be making lots of money in their whole life, they are like pro-athlets, they make ALOT of money in a short period of time and then nothing. If you keep spending like you did while you were making money you will end up broke. So a streamer, or an athlete or a celebrity being financially irresponsible can be bad for the people who are looking up to them. The example they are showing can hurt others. You can see effects of it with the erosion of society through social media.
