I was in TC, left around 1980. Was addicted for 16 years and in and out of jails, detox and rehabs for about 12 years. When I left, I never had a craving since... 40 years sobriety now... no desire for narcotics, alcohol, coke or other harmful drugs. I'd like to shake the hand of the judge who sentenced you to Teen Challenge. But actually it was God that brought you in. You are his Chosen One set apart to glorify Jesus all the days of your life. I love the way you told your testimony with dignity and giving God glory. As a fellow graduate of Teen Challenge we share that special bond
My heart sunk when I heard you say you chased it from that moment. Because with methamphetamine it's a Fast Trip to the bottom. I too am a Teen Challenge graduate from 1991. In the past couple years I watched meth take my beautiful Christian son and turn him in to a deranged ghost of his former self. I'm happy to say he will be entering Western Michigan Teen Challenge next month after a long sentence in jail. Please say a prayer for Joshua
Beautiful testimony and proclaims You Jesus! This song is literally what I want to tell the mom. My mom struggle with drinking And lost all 4 children I end up in Orphanage and then got adopted by Americans, after 20 years I decided to reach out to them and tell them all that Jesus did for me, i been saved and changed and free from all that mess for almost 5 years everyday it’s beautiful only because of Him, took all my pain from my dad walking away when I was 2 I was scarred from that moment but never knew, only He knew, just amazing. So last night I got talk to my next door neighbor that I grew up as a child with, and she was telling me that she never sees my mom sober, that she stays at the house and all she does is drinks. And to me I could picture all of it because that’s how I saw her when I was little except she wasn’t home, but even then her stomach hurt her a lot her organs didn’t want it anymore and I was hurting for her, it’s a generational curse that keeps passing down the line as if nobody sees is but now I do, and I get down on my knees and cry out with everything in me for my family as they scattered on drugs and drinking and hurting and don’t know that there is God who wants their life, loves them, there is freedom that is beyond of what we go through. This song touches me like my heart cry for my family in Russia and for my 3 adopted siblings family too which have like 11 siblings all scattered because of drugs and drinking. The Lord instantly set me free on 11/11/14 from drinking, smoking, pain, any soul ties, or curses, and on and on, I have Freedom, Love, Best Father in the world, everything I need is in You Jesus, and I will stand on Your word and I will pray and fight for my family, and this whole world and it’s amazing that out of all the names I was going to be named I was named Nadeshda which is the word for Hope in Russian but I’m not it Jesus is the Hope, and I bring that to my family here and in Russian and any person and the whole world. You are so amazing Jesus. This scripture I been stuck on, PSALMS 64: 5-10 5 They encourage each other to do evil and plan how to set their traps in secret. “Who will ever notice?” they ask.( devils laughing, but I notice it In Jesus Name!!!) 6 As they plot their crimes, they say, “We have devised the perfect plan!” Yes, the human heart and mind are cunning.(deceit) 7 But God himself will shoot them with his arrows, suddenly striking them down. 8 Their own tongues will ruin them, and all who see them will shake their heads in scorn. 9 Then everyone will stand in awe, proclaim the mighty acts of God realize all the amazing things he does. 10 The godly will rejoice in the Lord and find shelter in him. And those who do what is right will praise him. (I grab and hold on to this as if it’s directly for me, my promise, stand firm on God’s promise) all Glory to You Jesus!

I'm glad you have moved on. Smoking cigarettes is by far the worst addiction, though. I gotta tell you the truth. That goes for everyone reading this. No joke. Yeshua is king. And I call him Yeshua because that is his name in his native tongue of Aramaic. Jesus or Iesus is his name in Roman, or Latin. The Romans killed him, so I choose to not call him by his Roman name. Praise Yeshua!

I have Bible study with her father in the jail every Thursday night. What an incredible story of hope.
