Heat crash in Sun / amoongus if TR is up / Incin + flutter both have SE damage threat. Kind of wear it down by committee or deny TR / Reverse Tr (this is Brawlicjon I’m on mobile)
@@jonathanvelez203 thank's, good points. Sadly Heatcrash in sun is not a great option because calirex is very heravy and often is tera water. I tried it a lot with Groudon 🥲
Also I forgot to mention that in tandem with Koraidon just existing there is a place in this VGC meta for sun room. But we may be entering a format where speed isn’t as big of a difference as one might think. Like for example, Koraidon teams running alongside min speed Torkoal and Rilla exists which underspeeds your entire team
Love the vid Jon but I think Heat Crash on Groudon should be fire punch because punch just does more damage into more mactchups and crash is god for flutter but that’s just me. I just don’t think sun room specifically will be as good in this format as it may seem. Sun 100% with the 2 legendaries that carry it but the trick room side of things just will most likely rarely even be considered given how many ways we have to counter trick room in a Bo3 open team sheet format

The same way most other trick room teams including hyper offensive trick room teams don’t do well typically in VGC. Because unlike tailwind it’s easier to play around with trick room being so low priority. I mean as the saying goes “why taunt the trick room pokemon when you can just kill it”
Genning isn’t that bad for testing out teams. It’s sorta like using the Showdown website, except you’re testing the team on the ingame ladder. It’d be bad if you used it in an official tournament, though.

Nice team, one of the biggest Groudon counters is Calyrex-Ice, so Amoongus Spore is good against it, since it's slower than Caly on trick room

The point of the team is that trick room is an option for hyper offense, that’s it. This is a balance team
