Did you get to the Peten? I got to help rebuild Tikal Temple IV. Cannot wait to get back there. Been to Yukon, Spain, Italy (not the 1st City), Portugal, and Rome. Happy New Year! I hope 2023 brings so much adventure and growth to your channel and ours. Cheers from Turtle and Bear, a father and son team of anthropologists world travelers and your fellow UA-camrs.

WOW! Guatemala does sound exciting... I was ready to go at one point and travel through several countries by car but the US basically said they did not recommend it at that time due to some political stuff... but I certainly would try it again and your trip sounds like a smashing success! Thanks for sharing!

Is "matiox" - thank you and "utz pin pin" - very good in Mayan?

I asked Chat GPT to translate and this is what I got:
The phrase "Matiox cha we tat, puro utz pin pin" appears to be a mixture of Spanish and Mayan elements, so I will provide a translation that combines both languages.
In Yucatec Maya, the translation would be:
"Matyox cháak táan, k'áax ûtz pin pin."
This could be roughly translated back to Spanish as:
      "Gracias mi amigo, buenísimo día."
This translation assumes that "Matiox" comes from the Spanish word "gracias" (thank you), "cha we tat" comes from "mi amigo" (my friend), and "puro utz pin pin" comes from "buenísimo día" (very good day)
