    There are so many additives we can use, what have you not tried, or what have you tried and liked?

      I have used calendula, oatmeal, vanilla bean fiber, sandelwood, coffee grounds, and lavender. The vanilla bean powder made a ended up making what I call franken soap. but is was a nice soap to use.....but ugly. The lavender buds turned black and my familiy loving called it bug soap. LOL I'm branching out though thanks to you and the people here. Almost up to doing it again. I will share pictures with you on facebook. Don't know how to do it here.

    Hi Patrick. The ones I have not tried are greater than the ones I have tried. So I will share the ones I have tried since that list is shorter. They are chamomile powder, madder root powder, green tea, spinach powder, flax seed powder, myrrh powder, turmeric powder, aloe vera powder and corn starch. I enjoyed watching your video. You showed there are numerous possibilities.

    Thank you for sharing. I am yet to delve into the natural colourants. I do love Pumice mixed with a little fine sea salt in an emulsified scrub for feet.

    Wonderful info on those herbs and I love the pointer. What is it? How about one day you show how and why you use the mixes of essential oils that you use? I can't wait to see what you come up with using all of those products.

    Hi Patrick!! Faulous informative video!! I was wondering how the Nettle tincture helps you and also what health properties Yellow Dock has? Thanks sooo much!❤❤❤

    • @SoapyOaksFarm
      @SoapyOaksFarm  6 років тому

      Susan, Urtica dioica (Stinging Nettle) has many medicinal and nutritional benefits, the main reason I use it is to avoid allergies, and it works for me in this regard. However I suggest you watch this video ua-cam.com/video/ANZ60K3h2ow/v-deo.html from Learn Your Land's Adam, he is very skilled in wild plants and is one several naturalists that I follow

      @@SoapyOaksFarm Good Morning Patrick! Thanks so much for this link I will watch it!! I've been drinking nettle tea to try to help the UTI'S that seem to plague me. So was wondering if I should find the tincture of nettle. But tinctures have to be made from the just picked plant right? I gotta study up on this today. No nettle here in the Az desert! Thanks again and have a good Monday! ❤ 🍃🍁🍂🍁🍃

      I call myself a technitard as all this technicle and computer stuff blows my mind. I know what you mean. I have a friend that does groups so I will ask her and let you know what she says. I just thought it would be a nice group for us to chat and share with each other. Anybody here know how to make a facebook group?

    Thank you for the info! Just a quick question, what oil do you find the best to use for an infusion?

    • @SoapyOaksFarm
      @SoapyOaksFarm  6 років тому +1

      Donna, much depends on the product, however most of the time, almond oil, sunflower oil, or grapeseed oil work great, but you can use Olive Oil as well, I just like the lighter oils for infusions, seems to disperse much easier.

    Thank you for sharing very useful information! I like using infused turmeric and Brazilian red clay. I’ve tried alkanet root powder but it seems to turn my soap a grey purple color!
