WHAT IS A REALISTIC REBORN BABY DOLL?
A reborn baby is a realistic baby doll that was first sculpted out of clay by an artist to then produce blank vinyl kits that is then hand painted and assembled (aka "reborned") by reborn artists, such as myself! They are one-of-a-kind creations that are made to realistically resemble a real baby as much as possible! Reborn babies are weighted to be as heavy as a real baby, they have details such as real looking mottled skin, milk spots, baby acne, "under the skin" appearance of veins, lanugo, rooted hair, they're often modified to take a pacifier, etc... (of course, depending on what the artist chooses to include.. the price will reflect the level of detailing). Reborn dolls LOOK, FEEL, and sometimes even SMELL like a real baby!!! You can dress them up in real baby clothes, and use real baby items on them such as strollers, cribs, carseats, etc... making them a ton of fun to have and enjoy! Often times, they will come home with a "box opening" which is the traditional way a reborn is sent off to their new home with lots of outfits and goodies that can be used with the baby such as a stuffed animal, a pacifier, maybe a hair brush or bib... creating a beautiful way to interact with your new baby! Reborn dolls are collectors items and not the most suitable baby doll for children, however, many responsible children are gifted them by their parents and loved ones. They can range anywhere from $100s-$1000s of dollars, depending on the artist's skill level.
REBORN THERAPY
Reborn baby dolls are not only one-of-kind hand painted works of art, but are also amazing therapy tools for those dealing with all sorts of disabilities and circumstances, such as Alzheimer's, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, anxiety, grief (ex: loss of a child, miscarriage, stillbirth, etc). Holding a reborn baby can feel very similar to holding a real baby, causing the body to release a hormone called "Oxytocin" which creates a feeling of wellbeing throughout the body, reducing the body's stress response and calming the nervous system. Stress is known to wreak havoc on the body's immune system. Oxytocin is often referred to as "the cuddle hormone" for this reason. Reborn dolls can often help one process their grief when they would normally feel pressured by society to stay silent. (cafemom.com/parenting/200832-...)
HOW TO PURCHASE A REBORN DOLL
Find a reputable source such as straight from the artist themselves or reborns.com. You can also try buy and sell groups on Facebook. One pro tip: NEVER purchase from China or if a deal is "too good to be true" it probably is! Most of the quality reborn babies out there will be at least $200. There are lots of reborn doll scam sites, many reside in China, and scammers in the Facebook groups that will try to cheat you. Be very careful! The best places to shop are straight from the artist themselves (such as myself!) or reborns.com! Amazon.com does NOT sell real reborn dolls.

Aww… so sweet! Loved this video! I actually had a grandson who passed away at 3 yrs old with an extremely rare form of dwarfism called geleophysic dysplasia type 3. He was actually one of 4 known cases in the world. I miss him everyday, and I believe that it is important to let our children know about these kinds of things.

My girls are also Gianna and giulia sculpt, I named my girls Alana and Alaia, I used to have Stanley Oliver and that’s how I really fell in love with Chenza dolls sculpting work, my Stanley Oliver went to my best friend and I know she (a he now) is going to be loved and cared for! I don’t see much ppl own Gianna and giulia sculpt and let me tell you these girls are the best to have, they are so cuddly and just so lovable! Every details, every creasing and the one open hand is what I love about my girls! If ur thinking about if you will love these girls or not, I swear you’ll fall in love as soon as you open the box

I have special needs
I’m a rooted hair baby mama type two I’m not crazy about painted hair. I would go bald before I did painted hair properly.
These r the only dolls I really love. But I couldnt afford to get them.
I really like your chanel. But, to tell you the truth I can't afford a reborn..but, I have a baby "doll" she's a vinyl doll that was known in the 90s..I love her anyway, my mom got her for me..& price wise..she was in-between. And, one of the reasons I love her, even to this day..is I'm not able to have children-I never really could. I wanted to but, I just couldn't. I have a disability/condition called CP..I also like teddy 🐻 bears..& love 😍 them just as much-I can't choose. But, not everyone can have children..my doll & bears make me really, really happy. Sometimes I wonder what kind of mother I'd make?? & I wonder what it would like to be pregnant🤰 or have a toddler?? However, I'm beyond the point of having kids..Anyway, that's all I wanted to say.. :) How would you do a baby with CP-just wondering/curious, Note: I don't want one, I already have one..(doll)😉 ❤😊

Hi, I am Rocky. I am a special-needs reborn parent. I am looking for a big boy and I would like him to have a special needs? I have special needs as well. I am blind. I have cerebral palsy and I’m also autistic. Do you know if she would make a autistic child reborn with cerebral palsy? And how much it cost because I am on a fixed income, but these babies comfort me a lot because I miscarried and I had it still birth as well so I can’t have any more babies. And adoption was out of the question because they said with my medical problem that would never happen. I would name him, Jonathan David because he would be my dream child. I want to get one bigger than my reborn special needs some Daniel who is the size of a four-year-old. Daniel needs an older brother. If you can let me know, I’d really appreciate it thank you.
