  • Shortage of Wellbutrin made me go through withdrawal and then through some of the starting symptoms again. It was not fun.

Bupropion saved my life. I was able to quit smoking and alcohol completely. For the past two years, I have been in denial of my depression and finally went to a psychiatrist. I got into bad student loan debt and thanks to the medication, I have been able to turn my life around.
I don’t have any side effects at all and my job performance has improved drastically. My anxiety hasn’t really gone away though.
It’s really interesting to see others people’s experiences

This was the one drug that helped me. I was on so many things I don’t know what the withdrawal was from. I did a cleanse and had Wellbutrin shells coming out months after stopping which means it was leaching into me slowly. Felt great after flushing my system

Thank you for being so honest! I have had similar symptoms as you, your honeymoon discussion helped me prepare for mine. I was a little terror on one dosage, but with 2 dosages, everything has stabilized. This is my month 2, I've signed up for therapy since I realize the medicine itself won't fix everything. It has been hard admitting to myself I've been depressed for a while, your courage to share has helped me.

I think the scary part about medication is our dependency on it. I don’t like feeling like I’m a slave to anything. My psychiatrist retired recently and I have to find a new doctor so I’ve been off certain medications for awhile. Luckily Wellbutrin doesn’t require a psychiatrist to get prescribed as it’s not a controlled substance.

Same thing happened in the states with Adderall. Interestingly I was switched to Ritalin and when THAT experienced a shortage…. I was prescribed Wellbutrin, which I’m positive is also due for a shortage due to so many people being switched.

Not the end of the world, but I haven't been functioning at the level I'm used to...which is already impaired, even with meds, compared to the average person. I'm really hoping Wellbutrin will help.

I didn't realize wellbutrin had withdrawal symptoms. I was on it and stopped abruptly (because all it did was make me stay awake 48 hrs at a time). I didn't experience any withdrawal that I noticed. Sertraline had side effects of a sort of intermittent buzzing dizziness... but it actually made me feel good. Escitalopram just made me feel dizzy. Not euphoric like coming off sertraline.

I am currently suffering from the affects of withdrawal from Wellbutrin. It is hard to eat, I have a repulsion towards food, however, I like you know I have to eat. I am generally exhausted, I have a lack of motivation, and emptiness. I am on EDT time and waiting for the Alternative to Meds Center to open. I have a nurse practitioner that won’t return my calls. He weaned me off of Depokote (thank God) but added Amblify which is ludicrous. Wellbutrin increases dopamine & Ambilify decreases dopamine. This is not an unusual protocol for Western medicine because they have no knowledge of nutrition and supplements. I have no desire to increase Wellbutrin, I am waiting to get advice from Alternative to Meds on what dosage to take of trypotophen, tyrosine, magnesium and tyrosine. I personally believe that psychotropic drugs for me are neurotoxins. I regret the day I started any of them and there have been many that I’ve have been prescribed. To each his own. I will give you an update on the advice I’ve been given.

I was without my 300mg bupropion for 2 weeks. When I finally got my prescription I took the pill and I felt really bad. Anxiety and headaches were heightened. I stopped taking it altogether and now I’m experiencing really bad withdrawals. Should I take the 300mg dose again or do you think I should try a lower dose? I just want to stop the withdrawals. Never wanted to get off of bupropion in the first place. I can’t tell if I was experiencing normal side effects of starting again or not.

    • @Keita_thecyankat
      @Keita_thecyankat  3 місяці тому +1

Well, it looks like you are going to feel some effects no matter what you decide. If you stop, you will have to go through withdrawal. If you continue, you will have to go through those starting side effects again. You said you did not want to get off of it, then it would be a good idea to continue taking it and just pull through the starting phase. And then make sure that you always get your prescription on time until you decide to get off of the meds, just remember that you have to wean off of it slowly. Then you can do it with very minimal or no withdrawals.

Somehow Wellbutrin makes me feel further away from myself, if that makes sense. I just feel like things are less real. I get it how this might help people that are severely depressed but it makes me feel very unmotivated. I felt unmotivated before I was taking it as well but I feel like this medication is more of a band aid than a real solution.

Well, I'm glad I found your Channel your voice has been very soothing, and very calm and that is extremely helpful to me because of what I've been going through and I appreciate your time doing these videos. I just left a message to my psychiatrist and requested Wellbutrin. It was presribed to me a long time ago and I don't know why I stopped taking it like many others. I was on Klonopin for more than 10 years and was taking less than 1 mg and as needed as well. The withdrawals were absolutely horrible and the stupid imbecile doctor took me off of it cold turkey.
And right now I don't know if I'm having a somewhat mild resurface of withdrawal or if it's just me who has been going through a lot for the last 5 months but I took less than Point 25 mg 2 days ago. it took down the weird feelings and it helped. I was tempted to take 1mg. But I don't want to be on it like I was before unless it was prescribed again because that was the only thing that was working very well for me. I can easily get klonopin in Mexico as a prescription. But I went off of it about 2 years ago and I've had some tucked away just in case of any extremely urgent need arrised and I'm glad I had some stored away. I've been taking Motrin 800 and 7.5 mg prescribed tablet of motion sickness to aleviate the weird hangover like feelings.
My depression is ive been living with HIV for almost 25 years and it's become a trauma. I also detransitioned 10 years ago and lived as a female for almost 20 years. Ever since I detransitioned I've been living in a very isolated world. I have no family no wife or girlfriend except for my dog who has been a tremendous blessing to me. I thought that maybe I could also help myself by creating my UA-cam channel.
I talk about my detransition, music, mentsl health issues and other things and I do have a few videos uploaded two others that I've been working on but as you said the editing is a very interesting skill.
I am familiar with some some editing an audio editing because I'm also a musician and when I lived as a female I had my own adult film company going from my apartment but all of that is gone. All that life is gone everything. Learning video editing is very tedious but when you finish it and you like what you did you get pretty happy. I did not put enough effort on my UA-cam videos but there are one or two that I did put a lot of effort and you'll see it if you go see them.
Once again I thank you for your videos in the time but I would really like updates on your Wellbutrin experiences because for me it's extremely important so scared when I hear about the side effects or if you withdraw from them all because of the horrible experience I had with Klonopin so maybe we'll deuteron is good for me or will be . 9:24 pm.

I have always taken my medication daily, but I ordered 21.5. to change new into antidepressant, because Wellbutrin has made my anxiety worse. This Monday I got doctor consultation for my new medication named Brintellix for Friday, but guess what no consultation for whole day and tomorrow is going to be weekend.
I will start cold turkey tomorrow. Once they call me next week I'll tell them to write new rescribtion. I'm so done done with this anxiety.
