Large Scale JU-87 Stuka Dive Bomber (Scratch-Built) -- Top Gun Invitational 2018
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 гру 2024
- Top Gun is a competition that literally brings people from around the world to compete. This historically accurate Stuka was entered by Phil Crandon of Australia. It was an immaculately finished airplane that won Best Military and the Pilot's Choice awards. The airplane was scratch-built from a highly modified Ziroli plan and is powered by a Roto 85 FS inline twin engine.

I dare someone to fly this over London
Somebody will bring out the Spitfire.
fly ot over poland
Over paris
The British when they figure out its real size they be like :
*wtf*
Impossible sir the plabe would be shot down by an AA gunners
Nice lookin' model but I was pretty disappointed there was no inclusion of a scale Jericho horn XD Seriously, beautiful model!
I hear you. It was an absolutely gorgeous model though! There was a company that used to make sirens for these, but they're long gone now.
@@Thercgeek Somehow I'm not surprised that someone actually made that part... Oh this hobby though, lol. I would think you could just simulate with a sound module, unless that's blasphemy to use a sound module with gassers but you wouldn't be getting artificial engine noise, just the horn sound effect. If you could get enough power through it and get big volume, that would sound nuts flying by.
This one had an actual ram air siren that was pretty cool. ua-cam.com/video/rQB9xZsBeeE/v-deo.html
lmao exactly what I was gonna say
I like the tiny Bomb that the Stuka just drop
They should add the sturka terrifying sound
OP I'd look on this plane as a masterful achievement even if it were kit built - but yours is scratch built... it's in a class beyond master class, something I could never even dream of doing. You have a right to be justifiably proud of your magnificent creation sir.
It would have been great with the siren but still very nice.
Great work! I love the details you’ve put in this. I can tell it was a lot of work and effort.
Fly this over Poland.
usssanjacinto1 Right on retirement homes
100% Badassery ! ❤A full size Ju87 will be airworthy soon , it's being built in Washington state in Usa .
I wasn't aware that there was being one restored. That'll really be a sight to see!
Love the walking takeoff and landing.
Beautiful model & exceptional flying. I am always impressed with great RC flying. They nailed the landing. I’d be paranoid about crashing these expensive models.
Anyone else was specting for the famous siren sound?
That’s so cool!! The exhaust sounds so cool when the plane flys past the camera. What does a plane like this cost to build? I appreciate you and your channel. Great video
Thanks for the kind words! Something like this can vary in cost, but typically there's usually a few thousand wrapped up in equipment plus the cost of the materials to build, etc.
The RC Geek that’s amazing!! Thank you for the videos
Wow,very nice Stuka! That Roto twin sure sounds sweet! This is an event I really need to go to.Great job Chris!!
IT is a really awesome event! Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to get out there again this year. WIll have to make sure I do next year! :)
Same here, maybe next year I will make plans to go.Sure wish it was the west coast instead of the east.Nothing against the east coast,I just like the west better and have made that drive several times.I need to get out there and see the Button-Willow event!
I hear you there! Some year, I hope to compete in this competition, sure would make it so much more feasible for if it were on the west coast. Originally, the event alternated east coast/west coast, but I think they only did one west coast event which was back in 1991 or so in AZ. It's been in Florida ever since.
supper cool
even the sound is amazing
Are there plans for building one of these?
I’d recommend checking out ziroli-plans. He has a nice Stuka. There are a couple arf kits available out there too.
Technical specifications? Weight, dimensions, propeller, speed? well thank you
Unfortunately I don’t have any of that information. This was filmed at an event from a few years ago and I don’t have any way to contact the builder/owner.
1:5 scale 100” wingspan. Weight 34.5lbs. Power is inline twin Roto 85FSI swinging a 24X10 prop.
Great video, love the scale look and flying 👊🏼
Thanks for watching! :)
This is so realistic in the sky! Awesome video!
Thanks for watching! :)
How can i build it?
The camouflage though...
Where's the sirens?
I dare you to fly to fly this over Stalingrad
Volgograd*
Nice sound
no siren :/
Not on this one, but this one has one: ua-cam.com/video/rQB9xZsBeeE/v-deo.html
2:11 that cool omg🤣
My man where is the siren
this one was good .. i want to see but where is real plane colour???
Very nice, we just had an airshow here in Yuma, AZ saw a bunch of Mitsubishi zeros as drove by leaving work. I'd love to see a stuka diving at me, to hear that terrible sound they made.
Yeah, would be a very surreal experience to hear that siren diving down on you.
In a word, FANTASTIC!!
I loved that the model included the means for dropping his ordinance. It would have been much nicer to be able to have a view of the dummy bomb followed to the intended target before returning to the Stuka in flight.
Even more appealing would have been to have a large plastic tarp with target center staked out in the grass for the pilot to try and "Score" a HIT!
I know years ago a group of is would lay out a large (2' to 3' diameter) flour target and drop raw eggs to see who got the closest. What you won was bragging rights and sometimes we'd substitute small water balloons for the eggs.
Unfortunately for some of the guys who thought they had a "lock" on accuracy by flying lower to gauge the dropping point would sometimes fly their planes smack dab into the earth/target because they were too eager to see the point of impact instead of FLYING THEIR AIRPLANE!
Sad but lots or laughs too. Mostly aimed at the more arrogant pilots who thought they were so much better than the rest of us.
All that aside, this model is a FINE example of someone with Pride of Ownership as well as competent flying skills.
BRAVO!
Sounds like fun! :)
Very cool. 😎
I’m pretty bummed out that there wasn’t any famous siren noises
Wheres the siren?!?
Try this on, it has a siren on it: ua-cam.com/video/rQB9xZsBeeE/v-deo.html
Badass!
Нету того звука😔
love the stuka. Have a zirolli done up in this same scheme. To bad he doesnt have a siren for this.
Cool! Do you have a siren for yours?
@@Thercgeek I have it mounted centerline, made to look like a bomb. I also have two outboard bombs made to be dropped.
Cool!
A toy to scare Poland
Don’t ever try to flight this in Germany
Have you had people complaining about the tail logo cause wel anoying people like that exist
it happens
@@Thercgeek wel you dont hear me complaining its for historical significance after all
Can you give it to me for Christmas? I can play with it during lockdown.
