Santuario di Madonna Santissima di Campiglione

It is a very beautiful and evocative sanctuary, above all due to the fact that the Madonna painted in the icon, to which the sanctuary is dedicated, has her head detached from the wall due to a miracle that occurred in 1483. In fact, it is said that to answer the prayers of a mother, who asked for mercy for her unjustly convicted son, she nodded her head and after a while the real culprit was found and the son was free. And every year, on Mother's Day, the second Sunday in May, the Madonna di Campiglione is also celebrated.
