    If you are curious how I tweaked the Units Sold Visuals to Gross Sales, you can check out this 3min video here --> ua-cam.com/video/FtKxFr_zn6Q/v-deo.html
    If you found this tutorial helpful, please feel free to like, share, and subscribe. Note if your settings don't match, it may be because you have "on object Interactions" on. I do not like that preview feature. I feel the default is cleaner and easier to use. To follow along, simply uncheck that features and restart Power BI. Thank you!

    I’ve done a little bit with bookmarks, but my is blown with what you’ve shown. This is amazing. I’ve got the perfect report to use this with. Thank you.

      Yeah, bookmarks are pretty powerful when you know how to use them. The key is staying organized. I'm glad this was helpful 👍

    Nice video, though I have a question. Do element groups dissapear when you publish your report on the Power Bi Service ?, I created a group for a slicer panel and once I published the report the group was missing.

    • @nextlevelpowerbireports
      @nextlevelpowerbireports  4 години тому +1

      @@Albert-SC08 hello...no, the groups are still there. Everything we do Power BI Desktop is designed to work in Service as ultimately that's where.our users view our reports.
      Make sure you have setup your bookmarks correctly to show and hide them. Always test in desktop first, within your buttons. Then publish to service, refresh / update app.
      Service settings can differ depending on the company, but bookmarks and layers are fundamental aspects of Power BI so they should work as long as your visuals aren't non-certifed ones that are blocked.

    Thanks for all your videos. I have implemented some of the bookmarks shown here: One page, same visuals, two different table sources, bookmarks hide/show the visuals. As for the "Current Page", I was wondering if there was a way to change the visual of another page without focusing on that page. This helps on the following use case: Tooltip! When hovering over a visual, allow the user to select, before hovering, what information to display when they hover over a certain visual. It will probably be better to have those visual on the same page, but when real estate is limited, a tool tip with selectable visuals can do the trick, and this could be the answer.

      Your're welcome 👍 And user selected Tooltips sounds like great example use case for having "Current Page" unchecked!

    Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Just wanted to know if you are using updated version of POWERBI, as i see many fields are interchanged in my system, as a new learner to Powerbi, I find it Little difficult to navigate. It would be of Great help if you could use the updated version and have complete beginner to pro level training on powerbi.

      Hello...this is the latest version. I'm guessing you have "On object Interaction" enabled. I do not like that feature so I choose to leave it unchecked. Note that is a Preview Feature and not the default.

      Thank you for clarifying! I checked, and you’re right-the On-object Interaction feature was enabled on my system, which caused the difference. After disabling it, my interface now matches yours perfectly.
      As a beginner, I found the On-object Interaction feature a bit confusing, but I’d be curious to know your thoughts on whether it’s worth exploring. Do you think it offers meaningful advantages for users? If not, I’m happy to continue learning with the standard setup you’re using.
      Thanks again for your guidance and detailed tutorial.

      @@02muthukumar I personally don't like it. I think the default way is cleaner and faster. Like I teach in my course, simplicity is best. Specifically, I prefer all panes to right-hand side. To me it just makes the most sense. I don't know why other courses teach with this enabled. It's a preview feature, not default. Of course, this is just my personally opinion. Everyone is different.

    great stuff,
    can you provide dataset to practice along

    • @nextlevelpowerbireports
      @nextlevelpowerbireports  4 дні тому

      Thank you! I use a simple example in this video so you could follow the steps on your own dataset with any visuals. All you need to do is make the two buttons as well. Then follow the steps of duplicating the group etc.
      That being said, this exact dataset and example is provided in my "14 Daya to Mastering Power BI UX/UI Design " course if you want the exact dataset and to see the completed example uaed.

    I was lazy (and a little scared of complex bookmarks), so I duplicated the pages to navigate between them to make it look like a report page with a filter page over the top.

    • @nextlevelpowerbireports
      @nextlevelpowerbireports  4 дні тому

      Well i hope this video was helpful!
      Most reports will not ever need the type of Bookmarking I'm showing at the end of this video. However it's great to understand these techniques so you can have more flexibility in your reports if and when needed.

    How to tweak in to gross sales view
    I didnt get ur point on it
    And u didnt meantion the name on gross sales after filtering right??

    • @nextlevelpowerbireports
      @nextlevelpowerbireports  3 дні тому

      @@mhn_in after you duplicate the layer group, you simply adjust your two buttons, card, and two charts to be blue and have the measure gross sales in it. The button colors would flip, so units sold button now becomes gray and gross sales button becomes blue. ( in this example ).
      Here's the link to to seeing how I tweaked that duplicate group --> ua-cam.com/video/FtKxFr_zn6Q/v-deo.html

      Hello! I purposely used a simply example so you could practice these techniques with any data set. Simply create two measures such as sum of units sold and sum of gross sales. However, if you wanted use the exact dataset and/or see this exact report, feel free to check out my course at the link here --> courses.nextlevelreports.com/14-days-mastering-ux-ui-design-website-path
