So true about the prayer and how prayers can prevent accidents. One time I went on a road trip but we forgot to pray before, and we ended up in a very bad accident. I'm just so glad no one was killed, but I live with the consequences. God bless! And don't forget to pray!
I totally understand what you are saying about things happening that are out of our power that could possibly have happened to avoid something nasty. I always pray over our car when we go on long trips. Whenever I see an ambulance I always say, someone is having a baby in the back because the thought of someone hurt upsets me. I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason so you could very well be right that the garage door not working had saved you from something sinister. I'm so glad you are safely home now and SO happy for you Jared as you look like you're home.
I admire your guy's faith I do not practise a religion but I enjoy learning about other people's beliefs and I totally admire anyone who has a faith as strong as you guys do

Ah! I've had a similar expierence with the driving thing.... My mom always got mad when I was irritated that traffic was icky. She'd always tell me it was so we didn't get in an accident, or someone in front of us is having a bad day and needs the time in their car for that feel good song, or someone down the road just had their cat get out of the house... We always enjoyed her stories haha! Until recently, I was at a stop light and was hurrying to get home (cranky babies in the back makes anyone in a rush! Haha), but this light was taking FOREVER. I was so irritated. Finally the light changed. As I hit the gas, my car stalled. Never once has my car EVER stalled. Started right back up too! But as I put it back in drive and looked up, a giant SUV ran the stop light at at least 45 mph and if the car didn't stall (if our thinking was correct), it would have slammed right into the passenger side backseat... Which is where my 5 year old sits, and was leaning against the door (even after 2958579392 billion attempts to tell her to sit properly in her carseat!). That is enough to give you a second thought!!
LOL... my family says "You get what you get and you don't get upset!" And I'm not upset at all... you guys make road tripping look like so much fun!! Have a great visit with your folks, Jared :)

hey guys!! sometimes our garage won't close if the sun is shinning in the safety sensor (that stops the garage from closing if something is near the door when it's trying to close). We would have to stand outside the garage to create a shadow over the sensor while closing it... just a thought :) have a safe trip!!!
I do the same thing all the time if I am stuck behind some one slow..... I always take it as a way that god is protecting me and my family from an accident or something bad up ahead. Loved Jarrod's singing in the car sooo funny... love the snow it is almost summer here in Australia so a white Christmas would be lovely.... but we get heat and flies.

As a teenager we would get out of school meet our U-High friends at Ron's it was our middle ground since after Jr High we were all thrown to some C.V ( yayy Bear's lol) and the rest to U-High. Awww the good days now I wanna go home to see my parents :(((( I talked to them last night they said it is cold and lots of rain so pack the same it won't be warm :) Have fun and prayers for a safe and fun vacation
