    Glock fanboys from Reddit and Discord mass reported this video and used anti-gun UA-cam to demonetize the video with limited visibility. Here is validation from someone who had the same experience at industry day with the non-optic G49. They should be ashamed: ua-cam.com/video/WllgQs8qwnE/v-deo.html

    I own a Walther PDP steel frame compact. I totally agree with you. Aside from a 1911 9mm or a CZ Shadow 2, this PDP shoots flat and soft. And it's a compact! It's a fav, for sure!

    *2:10** The problem with the PDP, is the PPQ... which you can get used for $300-350 ADL, and is just as good.*
    I haven't been able to tell a reasonable difference to substantiate getting the new guns? Have you?

    • @m4rvinmartian
      @m4rvinmartian 10 місяців тому

      Just remember, color is just "paint".
      Cerakote, or some type of Vapor Dep, can make ANY gun have color.
      I would recommend instead, the Springfield Prodigy and a tune & ignition kit.
      Then google cerakote, and your city and choose one of the 20 places that pop up.

    I’ve had a Glock 49 with a SRO on a Forward Controls plate and a TRL7sub for about 2 months without a single issues. 1 training class, couple competitions, and about 1200 rounds. That said, it’s a sample size of one. I also workout a ton so I have a strong grip. I’m a Glock guy just because I’ve ran them for 15 years but I’m no Glock shill. They have been surpassed in the innovation dept by many.

If they butt hurt because you gave an honest opinion than that's on them you and your wife were the ones there shooting the systems not them and you should have never had to justify the both of your critics at all. Awesome video. Number 1, your wife is gorgeous and you guys complete each other. (2) since early 2019, I bought a Glock 19x (G45) and shot 4k rounds with no issues, then, I mated it with a 19 long slide and ran another 2k rounds. As soon as I mounted an RMR the pistol's cycle of operation started to malfunction. My Duty Gun is a G19 MOS with a Trijicon since 2020, again so issues at all. I took them both to the defunct Glock Store in San Diego and they ran it too. We concluded that a G23 heavy Tungsten slide guide rod fixed it immediately. 3 years later and over 12k rounds through it, I call it a win.

      I love 32 h&R, good power, extra round in the cylinder, ad unlike 38 j frames, pleasant to shoot so I enjoy practicing with it. With 32 long it can be shot all day, with h&r it's still more pleasant than 38. The ultimate carry dresses my biggest criticism by putting on real sights. The chamfered charge holes is nice too. Ive found j frames to be much more reliable and less finicky than pocket autos in 380 and the such. @@Shadow__133

    Tisas. Probably the best 1911 builder at any price point below $2k. Been shooting 1911s since I was a teen age California surfer hippie and all the way thru my career in the Army as a 18a. Hard pressed to pry my Gold Cup or Commander out of my hand. But the Tisas from top to bottom is the equal of every 1911 on the market and far less expensive head to head.
    A double stack, 4.5 inch barrel, with red dot cut out included, and series 70 works, for $700 and you call it “fine”?
    Fine as frog hair would be more accurate.
    Other than that, for a red star wearing Bolshevik, you did an ok job.

    Thank you for your video, Brett! I have narrowed my search down to Stealth Arms Platypus, Staccato P, or the Bul Armory Tac II. My reservation with Bul Armory is the MIM components. I really liked what I saw so far on the Platypus. I sent the company an email to determine if I could subsitute the coating from Ceracote to DLC and get a larger grip for my hands. Stealth Arms website is a game changer. What are your thoughts on the Staccato P versus the Platypus?

    • @NightwoodGuns
      @NightwoodGuns  8 місяців тому +1

      They are both phenomenal. The Staccato with its DLC finish is hard to beat and it is softer shooting because of the polymer grip (absorbs and flexes with recoil) But the Stealth Arms is a bargain for what you get and the customization is amazing. I think it depends on what magazine ecosystem you want to be in: 2011 or Glock (or Bul 😅)
