Notice nobodies talking about this but Dave makes ZERO EXCUSES for losing & what might be causing it unlike most everyone else who would be telling everybody what's up. We just have to infer or guess what might be the issue. He's truly a gentleman & stoic & kind arm wrestler. Dave is the epitome of a good man & beast arm wrestler.

Nerve impingement without question. I've dealt with it myself. The muscle atrophy, the loss of neurological connection felt in the limb, and numbness/tingling. It's clear as day. It's not even up for debate. But, it will only get worse if he does not stop pulling and put in some serious rehab.
Same. I went from a 16 inch arm to a 13 inch arm. I couldnt use my tricep or shoulder. Its been 4 years and it has came back maybe 40%
yeah when revaz destroyed dave i did not believe and just thought that revaz was too much but then devon domonated the side pressure and i was like okay he is really injured. devon may dominate the hand but his armpower was more compared to dave which is just unrealistic. dave is really injured

@@SluggerStark Maybe you missed the "rest for a few months" part of my comment. Most nerve impingement issues heal by just giving the area proper rest. Then the stem cells would also speed up the overall healing and other wear and tear issues.

What i love about Dave is how he always manages to put up a good fight. Whether it is Vitaly, Devon, Levan or Denis he is facing, he might not be winning every time, but he surely does manage to make them break a sweat. He is one of those armwrestlers who i just love to watch.

The dave who faced revaz and devon is not the same who faced genadi, vitaly, ermes ecc. Dave s side pressure was unreal, we saw ermes struggling against him so much and then ermes 2 months later going against levan and having that result. If that dave was the same revaz and devon would do really really well against levan

Dave's weakness is his hand. If it gets curved back, his power is taken away. Revaz has big and uncomfortable hand and is very explosive, Dave was simply countered hard.
Same story with Laratt. Devon invested most of his stats into his hand and probation, Dave had no access to his power whole time.
You are making indirect comparisons between Ermes and Levan. Lets not forget that Dave had nothing for Levan, no stoppage whole 6 rounds.
Dave undoubtedly has lots of power, but he is nothing, if he loses his hand.
@@arhael3594 Dave did well against Vitaly whos hand is strong and is even bigger than Devons. I'm not saying Devon and Revaz did not level up but Dave also has leveled down due to injuries and age. I mean even Devon who was his opponent and has more to lose saying Dave is injured in the sense that people can take aways some credit from his victory even noticed the difference. Dave also finally admitted it too.
@@arhael3594 I think it's a fair assessment that the injuries all these years are catching up more and more especially with the fact that Dave is getting older.
Even all the injuries Dave showed he is still very strong against Krudecha, Genadi, Morozov, and Vitaly. But he needs to recover from his injuries if he wants to get into top shape. If he can get better he will most likely be back in the top elite rankings.

He's probably injured and/or a bit aged and weathered like the rest of us. There is no disputing Dave's prowess as one of the strongest men to ever armwrestle. His strength is legendary and will go down in history as such.

Revaz and Devon beat him too easy, so it is very hard to believe that Dave is not injured, or did not come back to the power he had 8 months ago. I simply cannot believe that he was as strong as Laletin 8 months ago, so now Laletin and Dave would be much weaker to Revaz and Devon - hard to believe. Something is not right with Dave.

I personally think that something in Dave changed after the match with Ermes… I think when they faced Ermes was clearly n2 in the world at that moment and still he had to fight quite a bit in order to beat Dave but after that moment every other opponent just run through Dave like nothing. I don’t think that Revaz as well as Devon are that strong compared to Ermes so there must be something that happened after that match… at least this is what I think.
The path to face Levan: Chaffee, Genadi, if you beat both of them you unlock the final Boss
Devon needs to stop facing old and injured men and loosing matches he should win we want to see him face Ermes, Zaur, Dennis, Artyom, or Laletin. Hes dodging matches that would solidify his legacy and keep people interested in the sport

Dave is a natural athlete..he's been within 15-20 lbs of current weight his entire career..now the sport is driven and dominated by drugs and who can afford the best drugs, not work or work very little so all they do is drugs and train...dave is about the same strength. Everyone else hes pulling at the top is loaded up

How'd he injure his neck? He's got a thick ass neck. Lot of guys injure their necks and need surgeries from doing bridges and other neck workouts. Its not designed for those stresses.

Dave is just tired. I don’t think he wants to keep pumping himself up on steroids and continue to train. It’s a different sport now. Dave used to be the strong guy when everyone was skinny and arm wrestling wasn’t like it is now. But now, Dave is just an average guy.

You are heavily underestimating Dave. He wasn't just strong against people skinnier than him. He was strong enough to force a prime cyplenkov into a king's move. Its the nerve issues in his neck that have caused the strength decline.

Im big larrat fan but dave is the strongest guy out there outside levan ... I mean first rounds. Stronger than genadi, morzov, Larrat, ermes, revaz, denis etc .. but in his last couple matches he is not the same. Even match vs ermes he was but injured even he give ermes hell if fight he was not the same ... Dave chaffe is horse power when he is in his best shale and no one outside levan will handle him in first rounds!
Dave did worse against Ermes because Ermes developed very good hand.
Revaz annihilated Dave because he successfully attacked his hand outside of straps.
Laratt has most of his stats invested into hand, so he hard countered Dave.
There is no evidence that Dave got worse. It's more apparent that he has nothing, if his wrist is bent back.

@@arhael3594 Not exactly... the characteristic of some injuries is that your training sessions are inconsistent. Some days you train better, other days you have more issues and can't train. So there can be better periods and worse periods, and your performances goes up and down. And as time goes by, the more it worsens (if you don't solve the problem). Even Devon just now, in a very honestly way, stated that dave was a bit injured during the match and that he is not the same as he was a while ago
@@Stefano.. Fair but dave's had this neck injury for what?... 5-6 years now I believe? There's no reason to believe that it should be consistently worse over these past few months/matches than it has been over the last half a decade. Dave pulls a lot of supermatches and he's taken a lot of wear and tear in his matches of late. My guess is he's probably got some stuff going on from those he just doesn't talk about because who's going to invite (pay) an injured dave chaffe to come pull at an event? probably no one.

Frankly it can be from just the neck injury getting worse over time. Look at Bas Rutten, neck injury basically turned his arm into a pale shadow of what it once was. The man needs some guys like Devon, Jerry, and Michael to send him for some of that Vitacell goodness and some serious rehab. Hope the man comes back stronger then ever.
Everyone raved about Dave for many years, I always thought he was overrated
Dave needs some time away from the competition aspect of the sport. Focus on healing up, rehabilitation and then training hard once he's fully healed and cleared to do so.
