Brian Turrington (bass and co-writer) recently passed away. He was my friend, we wrote and played together back in the day. He was a unique musician. and just about the nicest man you could hope to meet.

So sorry for the loss. This has always been one of my favorite Eno concatenations, with the bass being the one part my brain fixates on without fail. Thanks for reminding us of someone who qualifiably made this song what it is - always captivating, driving, aggressive and fresh. RIP.

Of Eno's first four solo LPs, three are total masterpieces and one, 'Taking Tiger Mountain...', is merely brilliant....'Another Green World' is a strong contender for my favourite album of all time..

    There are tins,
    There was pork,
    There are legs,
    There are sharks,
    There was john,
    There are cliffs,
    There was mother,
    There's a poker,
    There was you,
    Then there was you,
    There are scenes,
    There are blues,
    There are boots,
    There are shoes,
    There are Turks,
    There are fools,
    They're in lockers,
    They're in schools,
    They're in you,
    Then there was you,
    Burn my fingers,
    Burn my toes,
    Burn my uncle,
    Burn his books,
    Burn his shoes,
    Cook the leather,
    Put it on me,
    Does it fit me,
    Or you,
    It looks tight on you,

Wow - I did not know that - pretty Cool - yeah that period of Prog to New Wave in the early to mid 70's is becoming more interesting to me - I was more Punk and New Wave - my older brother has tons or Rare Prog Rock stuff that some of which - like this song - are pretty Proto Punk / New Wave

Freddie Smith or Phil Collins - I'm sure they were all hanging out in Mass getting stoned and jamming away - all that creative intensity and that time of 1974 and 1975 - sort of 'inbetween' eras - Prog phasing into New Wave and Punk scraping out the delusions of Hippy Rock
