Nathan just melted my heart when he said, you can trash this truck all I need is Ester". What a sweet thing to say. It is wonderful to see Nathan happy with beautiful Ester and Kenna.
And isn't Nathan brilliant?! He just has many gifts, so bright & talented and kind hearted. Their baby is a doll too! Can't wait for Tiff & Law to be blessed someday with a little cousin for Kenna! ❤

The best advice I can give is…ALWAYS do a “light” check once you have your truck & camper hooked up. Break lights, blinkers & lights on. Do a check of the front & back lights. Oh, make sure you have your safety cable chains hooked up! Crisscross them. I can’t stress that enough about the light checks. You can not stop fast! Leave lots of space in between vehicles. Hope these tips help. Safe travels.

Few must do's .. 1. Get a water regulator for your city water connection. 2. Pick up a power surge protector for your 30a electrical line. 3. For your water heater and furnace, buy some bug screens for the external venting so you don't get wasps setting up home in there. Those are just a few I have to make RV life easier.

They make a Tempurpedic mattress for campers. You could switch it out in your main bed.
I would absolutely spend the money for a brand new mattress! RV mattress options have come a long way!!
My advice is to make sure you purchase a national park pass (if you don’t have one already) because that will give you access to WAY more adventures! I would highly suggest exploring Estes Park in Colorado…you could stay there for a while and still not see everything! My absolute favorite experience was driving to the highest point of Estes Park once it was completely dark outside, and being able to see the vastness of the Milky Way. Probably the most beautiful sight!
In California, but a state park pass too. It’s brilliant.
Pilots have very important, respectful, and responsible work. They have got yóúr lives in their hands when they are in that cockpit ❤. We should say thank you to them every time we arrive safely at our destination. ❤

You have to plan ahead-in some cases up to a year-to find campsites. Will you be prepped for boondocking?
If the mattress is wet, there's likely a water leak somewhere. Roofs on campers notoriously leak. Thoroughly inspect the roof. Mayneed to redo the roof.
I love Nathan. He is the calm one of the 2 brothers. Lawson and Nathan.

Just sold my house in October and bought a 35 foot pull behind for me and the puppies… only regret is I wish I did it sooner. GOD BLESS YA’LL

I think it would look really good if you painted your cabinets black especially if your putting in a white backsplash and a black faucet. You two will make many wonderful memories in this tiny home on wheels. ❤
Sometimes by the door step they have something called a “salesman” switch that turns off everything. A lot of times that gets accidentally turned off.

Sticky tiles work fine. I got them from Dollar Tree when the end of the peninsula in my kitchen which was just a wood-look laminate started flaking. I thought they'd just at least cover it for Thanksgiving. It's been over a year, and they still look great! I say do what's easy and looks ok. AND is affordable!
I think you all would love South Dakota. Mount Rushmore, Black Hills are breath taking and then you have Deadwood. I went on the back of a Harley motorcycle with a friend and it was one of my favorite trips of the United States.
We want to visit SD so bad!

Lawson-y’all have got to go to Acadia National Forest in Maine; the Grand Canyon; Olympia National Park in Washington; Crater Lake in Oregon; Georgia, North & South Carolina & Tennessee have some great state parks…. I could go on & on…y’all will just love all of the adventures ❤️👏
LAWSON,in your video you ask for destination recommendations and I thought that's it, "DESTINY" for camper name.😊🚌. Buy temperpedic foam. You can cut it down to size if needed. Very comfy!

Camper mattresses are so hard and uncomfortable. Might check for leaks if the mattress was wet. We had a fine spray under the bed box that made ours wet. Was and easy fix though. Keep in mind it’s great your setting it up to your liking not anyone’s advise, your the one making it your space not anyone else’s. Can’t wait to see how your finished set up comes out!
Make sure to inspect the roof of the rig! If you don't, you will have surprises you do not want. Expensive surprises

Oh, and I just remembered, Lawson a really good thing to do is to go get your tires checked leveled. You have to make sure it's well-balanced, we we're wearing out one tire more than the other, so make sure you go get it balanced. We Couldn't figure out why we kept getting one tire war down. And then we actually blew out a tire same side. So we got back home. We went and had our camper tires balanced and now no troubles.

New mattress for sure! Have a great time dreaming of all the neat places you can go.
Make sure you get huge jugs to refill water. You can get them at a hard ware store or a camper store. If you are at a sight with full hook up get a hose to hook up for your water. If you are at a sight with only electric hook up and taking a shower does run water faster. There's 4 of us we have a 36 foot camper and our water last 4 days before we have to fill up by jugs. Thats only using shower once we usually use the lockers at camp sights. Been camping 5 years now. Each trip I learn from other campers and I make a list and add to list or take off list if needed. Also bring a pair of work gloves for when you empty your dirty tank. So much more to say but I think you guys will love and learn fast. You have an outstanding support team praying for you guys and love your videos. Hope that helps. Don't buy a bunch of stuff right away you will learn fast that some things are not needed. Have fun you will love it.

My #1 tip is to buy a surge protector for your unit. Plug the surge protector into the outlet at your house and rv parks when you hook up, then plug your camper into the surge protector. We have seen power surges that have blown all the electrical in rvs and campers at the different rv parks. Very costly mistake if that happens. So the price is worth it.
We have been camping on our vacations for over 25 years. Our kids and dogs have loved every trip. Also, they have a few christian campgrounds in South Carolina if you enjoy the beach.

Best advice I can give you is to pray over your RV! My in-laws retired sold everything and traveled around the country. They met great ppl and made great friends.. They loved Alaska…I can just see you playing your guitar around the campfires Lawson and reaching ppl for Jesus. Blessings on your new RV adventures.

Yesss, I live in tacoma Washington born in Seattle. There so many beautiful places to go here. Mt st Helen’s, Mt. Ranier, the Olympic national forest, the San Juan’s, a beautiful ferry ride you will probably see whales and all kinds of things…..I could go on and on. Also cannon beach Oregon very beautiful!❤️💙

As a frequent visitor to Alaska, I definitely encourage you to try to visit there sometime in your life! However, very few have the time and wherewithal to drive up (let alone from TN, pulling a camper). So my recommendation is to go visit Utah! It's absolutely amazing, and unlike any scenery we have on the eastern half of the country. Go in the fall to avoid the heat!

My Dad was an evangelist and we traveled in a camper my whole life. There was 7 of us, different state every week, homeschooled, church every night of the week, and wouldn’t change it for anything. I’m 42 now and still miss the trailer life. Y’all will love it!!!

So excited for you guys 😃 you are going to have a blast in your camper. We travel the US in a motorhome these days but started in a camper like yours. We are leaving Florida at the end of March and driving through Canada to Alaska. Where we will spend the entire summer traveling around Alaska. We are blessed to work remotely and with Starlink our office can be any where. It's awesome waking up in a national park and taking a walk before it gets crowded then we go back to the RV and work while the tourists are there. We wish you the best of luck. I know you have lots of family to help you but remember an important aspect of RVing is not only what your truck can pull but can it stop quickly too. We highly recommend brake assist and sway bars for any camper. There's tons of youtube videos out there on both. Safe travels

Always do a check list on the camper making sure lights work
Don’t put too much weight in your camper. The heavy campers can cause damage to your camper

Change the mattresses and have the bearings greased in the wheels. We always do a brake, flashers, and turn signal test every time we leave.

Great video! Can't wait to watch your adventures. You said you are doing the West Coast. If you decide to come East, we are in Southeastern PA and could recommend a lot of great areas (with campgrounds) like Hershey, Amish Country and the Pocono Mountains. RVing is awesone!
Congratulations on your new trailer! 👏🏼👏🏼 I love the bunkhouse model, especially for kids. So here’s my favorite camping destinations as a CA kid: Lousy Jim Creek out of Beaver, Utah (has a reservoir by the camp, which is on the creek). We loved taking our sons camping at Frazier Mill just past Balch Park, CA (it’s an old logging area with huge Sequoia tree trunks that the kids loved to climb. Hidden Falls is a 15 min drive. Balch Park has a small, stocked fishing lake/pond and a huge, downed Redwood tree you can walk thru. There’s a grove of Redwoods nearby where you can go into a few that are like caves. Some places in Oregon I love are Fort Klamath by Klamath Lakes and has a pool, hookups, a stream and a small restaurant onsite. Crater Lake is a day trip from there. North of Crater Lake is beautiful Diamond Lake, with great campsites and trailheads. Also, Pismo Beach and San Simeon on the central CA coast. If you go to Pismo, you can drive on one part of the beach. While there, check out quaint little Avila and eat at the Custom House, great tiny coastal town. Btw: My dad was a CFI and taught me to fly when I was 16. He built a Long-Eze, then a Glasair 2RG and built a hangar at BFL in Bakersfield, CA. I’d love to fly the Cirrus, sweet plane. 🤗 You and Nate should fly into Big Bear City, CA. The runway ends at the lake and you generally take off over it and need to get up over the 6,000’+ mountains quickly. I spent most weekends up there as a kid as my aunt lived north of the airport. The airport has a nice pilots‘ lounge and a really good restaurant. Quick story: in 1976, Dad and I were departing and lost a Magneto in the Cessna 150 I learned to fly in right after takeoff over the lake. There wasn’t enough room to go back, but we made it back to Bakersfield with the other Mag. 🙏🏼 definitely helped! 😊
Command hooks has velcro hangers. Two pieces that you put one on the wall and then the artwork.
I highly suggest you go to an actual truck stop and buy a truck stop directory. TA or Petro This is where you can fuel up and pick up milk or whatever or just enjoy a good meal and spend the night. A place to check out the weather.

Definitely new mattresses ! You can use a blow dryer to heat the sticky mats up they will come right off
About 3-4 years ago we bought a Cougar (called it our studio apartment) camper. Did some traveling and decided to up grade to a 5th wheel. Love it! We changed out the mattress for comfort. We live in Washington and travel to Oregon, California, Utah, Arizona and Montana when we do big trips.
Rvs break and take a lot of work. As long as you know that and are prepared financially they can be a lot of fun.
Good luck with the trailer we have 2 friends that purchased the pull trailer and they had problems after problems and the dealer would never fix the problem correctly that had a problem either the fridge air conditioner windows leaking so they both used THE LEMON LAW and they both got all there money $ back !! So keep track of things that break or don’t work ! That is Lino square’s that are made for the floor and they used it as back splash 💦 tiff that is not a mattress it’s just padding that can be used for many things 🥰 Duke is so handsome 🐶❤️

As someone that has had multiple campers over 20 years the first thing would be to check the tires. Camper tires dry rot very quickly. We have to change our tires out about every three years to prevent blowouts. And since you have a single axle, make sure you carry a spare with you at all times.

My husband and I have lived in a 5th wheel full-time for almost 5 years now. Lots of learning, but we have loved our home! Starting to outgrow it now with baby #2 on the way, so looking to put down roots! Biggest tip I can think of is a good dehumidifier, especially for winter time. Full-time living is obviously a lot different then travel, but the dehumidifier will definitely help with the moisture control from the temperature difference inside versus outside! Excited for y'all! Happy travels 😊
