  • Mangane is a traditional sugar-free Konkani kheer made with chana dal (split chickpeas), sabudana (tapioca pearls), jaggery, and coconut milk. This is topped with cashew nuts. This sweet dish is generally prepared during the festival season.
    Ingredients:
    1 cup chana dal
    ½ cup small-sized sabudana
    2 cups grated coconut
    2 cardamon
    ¾ cup jaggery
    Cashews handful
    A pinch of salt

Love this recipe , although traditionally in my home we don't add sabudana to this.

Thank you, there are many variations to Mangane. Some add rice, or rice powder too along with chana dal.
