Jim was a larger-than-life character who displayed and shared an unwavering commitment to safety during his long career in our industry. From his time with Chevron and for supporting us at Step Change in Safety, Jim will be missed by so many.
This short video pays tribute to Jim, who will be remembered for playing his part.

Jim was my Father. I miss him greatly. He would talk to me often on his return home from the North sea. I was always in awe at the complexities of the oil industry operations and the words in this video perfectly demonstrate his overall thinking when it came to how to safely and affectively operate in the North sea. He was a people person, he greatly believed in the individuals importance from porter to chef to OIM, each one was as important as the other. I hope operators in the oil industry and beyond continue to learn from his wisdom.

He was my first OIM on the Captain WPP and worked off and on with him for 15 years. A truly inspirational leader and without a doubt ‘the voice’ of safety in the North Sea. Someone who constantly challenged me to progress in my career. RIP Jim
