  • The blue color appears suddenly, like an alarm clock ringing. The challenge is to get the clock to ring in exactly 25 seconds!

    I want to point out that hydrogen peroxide wasn't used by you; is that correct?
    Moreover, you stated 10 ml of Na2S2O3 was used but this comes as powder - how many grams?
    The same for potassium iodide; on the table it is written 0.1 mol, meaning 1.2 grams?

    I ran this experiment myself thinking to use it in a college GenChem2 lab I teach and the straight line I obtained by a plot of the molarity vs. 1/t yields a straight line like yours with an x, y intercept of approximately 0,0. The actual equation for that line I obtained by regression using Microsoft Excel is y = 2.6854 x - .0036. The slope is 2.6854 which is what for this reaction? Is it the rate constant k?
