Jeremy, you HAVE to get better at your job for Jordaline! I could understand if you were late if you got hit by a car or if you were maybe like helping someone who got hit by a car … But really Jeremy … Really … Just roll the clip! 😂 Was wondering about Serpent and Dove and I think I’ll go ahead and get it now! Thank you for the recommendations both ways! Tammy
I remember getting sucked into the Hidden Pictures hype so I read it and the part that made me just absolutely emotionally check out was when the MC thought to herself "Ugh, kids today are always on their phones" and then I was like oh okay, Jason is using his character as a mouth piece to just say everything he likely says IRL. That book was painful. 10/10 regret forcing myself to read it. Saying the MC was an extension of the author exactly articulates the feelings I had when I read it
5:57 love the cat parade in the background ❤ Steve from Stranger Things omg 😂 I feel you on the bible bashing as a turn off. My book club is reading A Child Alone With Strangers for July, and I am excited for that.
i also loved serpent & dove when i read it a few years ago! i've been questioning my taste because so many people have hated it since then but you loving it made me feel like i was correct. it's FUN! sometimes you just need every romance trope in one book 🤌
Honestly same! I have been struggling BADLY with horror & fantasy male authors writing woman so damn bad it ruins the experience for me, & it has put me in such a reading slump I have not picked up a book in months! With so much fantasy they write it so heavily towards a male audience I said in one good reads reviews “r your trying to ensure no females get a chance to enjoy your work or fantasy. Because it’s getting harder and harder to find books they r female inclusive.” And I am not just talking just the tropey stuff but like hard core woman r either sexual objects or gender norm saint mother at home cooking & raising the kids while her husband bangs every prostitute in town. So tired!!! And I have been getting it a lot in the horror I have read lately. So it’s just really got me in a slump! I almost want to set up a convention for male writers & have all female speakers to be like “don’t do this and that if u want anyone other than a cis teenager boy to read or enjoy ur books.”
I have learned that I shouldn’t read anything you don’t recommend. Every time I try to read a random horror or thriller book, I hate it. All the books I read that you recommend … LOVE! ❤
The fact jason was POSITIVE about the dad being a little pudgy, but aggressive to a fat woman. And plenty of calorie misinfirmation - cheesecake is EVIL now did you know?
I love saving your videos to actually sit down and watch instead of doing other things alongside. I’m still rooting for A Touch of Jen 🤣Forever and always!!
Thank you for this vlog. First of all, great presence. Secondly, my late friend Ilze was a big reader and bibliophile who really would have appreciated your challenge. Anyway, my recommendation is John Fowles's The Collector. 😊
Lol also, a spooky shit recommendation that just grossed me out, I had to put it down at 80%, I failedddd!!! The Dark by Jeremy Robinson. Kinda like War of the Worlds but like...worse.... Happy reading!
For me it's a red flag when someone says a book is bad and they have not read it themselves but just echo someone's opinion. Love this video. Books are highly subjective and everyone likes other things in books. That's why I always am cautious with book recommendation.
You're so funny 🤭🤭 and ngl when I saw you were gonna read Serpent and Dove I thought "well she'll at least enjoy this in this vlog" lol thanks to the people that said you were not gonna like it
Not an independent horror novel, but if you haven't read Fuan no Tane (Seeds of Anxiety), I highly recommend it. Its a series of short ghost stories that the mangaka collected from people, including one of his own.
Do you listen to the podcast Radio Rental?! The way to take to Jeremy is a similar banter in the podcast! The podcast is amazing-people Telling their spooky and unexplainable stories
I completely agree with you about religion. I despised imaginary friend for the very reason you described. You said it perfectly “if I wanted to know about Jesus Christ bitch, I’d read the Bible.” Totally gives me the ick too.
Men have never been afraid. They don’t know how to write horror. They have no predators. But women? We know horror. Everything and every day is a scary day for us. That’s my theory at least why horror by men is rarely good or relatable.
I hate to speak ill of the dead but Jeremy needs to get his act together. 😂 I’m grateful for your vlogs 🤗 it’s such a hit of endorphins getting to spend time with your bad self 🙌❤️🫶
😂😂😂😂. - book I hate-Cruel Prince. Because I feel bad for giving you a shity book rec, I’ll give you a good one too….book I love- Credence by Penelope Douglas.
Hmm, I'm not sure if you would love or hate them, or if you've ever read them, but if you like a massive cast of characters in all manner of fucked up dirty relationships, then I think you would enjoy the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward. I would recommend the first three, then decide if you want to keep going. Yes, it's a massive freaking series, but the early books really hooked me. Down the rabbit hole I went. :P
There has been SO much hype about Hidden Pictures online... but I couldn't trust it since these are the same people who all recommended Stolen Tongues and that book was not it 🤔
I don’t understand the hate for jay kristoff. He’s one of my favourite authors. People just want to find problems or be offended by everything these days
For me, reading in the horror genre has ran it's course for me, at least for a while. I agree with you, nothing in horror is peaking my interest. I'm reading more manga, fantasy, and Sci Fi.
omg THANK you for the info on Hidden Pictures. I had got this as a bargain months ago for like 8 bucks just knowing it was a thriller and never read it.I knew nothing else about it. After this video, I took it of my book cart and it went straight into my donation pile. Not spending one iota of brain power on this crap.
I really enjoyed the serpent and the dove the next two not so much which I believe is blood and Honey and golden monster, that believes something not as good
Loved the video, Hidden Pictures is the worst. Aside from the transphobic twist, she hated her mom so much for heinous reasons while her mom was so supportive 😢. I was the one who suggested The Accident Season, that book is so long and Chuck Wendig is so smug. If you ever want to read a horror that is actually kind of fun but also an example of Men Writing Women Badly - The Nightmare Man by J.H. Markert
"If I wanted to know about Jesus Christ; I'd read the Bible" 😂
You want a book that you’ll hate? ANY COLLEEN HOOVER BOOK.
Wait…we can’t do that to her 😭
That's if you hate romance type of books
Amen!
Jordaling read Verity in a vlog last year I think, and hated it so you're definitely right LOL 😂
@@jonnie7891 lol yeah
Jeremy is like Jodalines own personal, shitty Redfield. I'm so invested in him
I am too!
Plot twist: Jeremy actually hit someone with his own car and that's why he was late
I love Jeremy. Please never fire him.
Jeremy, you HAVE to get better at your job for Jordaline! I'm obsessed with what groceries people buy. Do you shop every week? What do you do with the canned peas and carrots? ❤
I agree, I was also wondering about what the heck is she going to do with those peas and carrots 🥕?
I remember getting sucked into the Hidden Pictures hype so I read it and the part that made me just absolutely emotionally check out was when the MC thought to herself "Ugh, kids today are always on their phones" and then I was like oh okay, Jason is using his character as a mouth piece to just say everything he likely says IRL. 🤣 the Jeremy bit at the start has me dying. And yet the way you are giggling as you declare "I hated it! I hated it!" gives me life.
You should read Credence by Penelope Douglas. I’m sure you’d hate it but I’d love to see your reaction!!! 😂
That book is wilddd, I had to take a break 😭
My day is made! I look forward to watching all of your videos Jordaline
I love your interactions with Jeremy 😂 🙌
Stay strong Jeremy! You can do anything ❤🩹
Love your videos. You bring me joy. Wishing you the best wherever you are
22:41 I felt the same way about Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle, I’m sorry to say.
5:57 love the cat parade in the background ❤
Steve from Stranger Things omg 😂
I feel you on the bible bashing as a turn off.
My book club is reading A Child Alone With Strangers for July, and I am excited for that.
JEREMY! 40 minutes late with no text, bffr!
i also loved serpent & dove when i read it a few years ago! i've been questioning my taste because so many people have hated it since then but you loving it made me feel like i was correct. it's FUN! sometimes you just need every romance trope in one book 🤌
Loved the first book the other two were just horrible such a let down
@@91kab i never finished the series so perhaps i'll just think fondly of the first book and carry on with my life 😂

PS Hi Jeremy 😂😂 but get it together man! 😂
I loved the grocery haul part 😂❤️
Girl if you want smut that you probably will hate, read Priest by Sierra Simone. Dying to see ur reaction 🤣
I'm worryingly invested in Jeremy and Tiffany
You always have the best music in your vids
hi, jeremy 👋 keep up the good work.
I have learned that I shouldn’t read anything you don’t recommend. Every time I try to read a random horror or thriller book, I hate it. All the books I read that you recommend … LOVE! ❤
So true! She was the only one who hated “verity” I read it anyway and eww she was 💯 right.
That hummus looked amazing. Thanks Jordaline.
“Prince-ly”😂
your laugh brings me such joy!
I read Hidden Pictures and I literally can’t remember a single thing about it😳 Even hearing you talk about it is not jogging my memory lol
Loving Yamada is 👨🍳💋❤ They need to release the English manga ASAP
Your kitchen is beautiful and so organized..well done. And I like your episodes that you cook…thank you
The only time I didn't mind the religion subject in a book was the cat from Last House on Needless Street. I was like you go girl praise or whatever.
Great vlog 🎉🌈🥤📚🍧🍉🪁💐😎
I had to come & give you props for the music editing on this video! All BANGERS. Not one miss. 👩🏽🍳💋
The fact jason was POSITIVE about the dad being a little pudgy, but aggressive to a fat woman. And plenty of calorie misinfirmation - cheesecake is EVIL now did you know?
Watching this as I’m dealing with a power outage, so thank you for keeping me company ❤
I love saving your videos to actually sit down and watch instead of doing other things alongside. I’m still rooting for A Touch of Jen 🤣Forever and always!!
Your vlogs make me feel like I too can clean my kitchen and I love you for it ❤
I love these vlogs, look forward to them every week
That voice!!! Amazing...love it😊
Thank you for this vlog. First of all, great presence. Secondly, my late friend Ilze was a big reader and bibliophile who really would have appreciated your challenge. Anyway, my recommendation is John Fowles's The Collector. 😊
You had me chuckling throughout this. I love your reaction to things you hate. 🤣
Lol also, a spooky shit recommendation that just grossed me out, I had to put it down at 80%, I failedddd!!! The Dark by Jeremy Robinson. Kinda like War of the Worlds but like...worse.... Happy reading!
I think your hair looked really cute when it was drying!-
Bethany’s video review on Hidden Picutres is so great! She said everything so well
jordaline loving a book that people thought she’d hate - failed successfully!!
I came for the Hidden Pictures dragging and I was not disappointed. Thank you so much. ❤
The roll the clip for this one was iconic hahaha
For me it's a red flag when someone says a book is bad and they have not read it themselves but just echo someone's opinion. Love this video. Books are highly subjective and everyone likes other things in books. That's why I always am cautious with book recommendation.

Did Jeremy hit someone with their car? 👀
The podcast is amazing-people
Telling their spooky and unexplainable stories
Read the book Fairydale By Veronica Lancet it’s so dark and so good. Just read it!
Love the grocery haul and the whole video 😊
I love, love your videos! My fave booktuber(or youtuber in general)
one of the craziest independent horror novels I've read is Lavender Blue by John Huber. I know you're not much into male authors, but this book is 😱
These reading vlogs give me so much life.
I completely agree with you about religion. I despised imaginary friend for the very reason you described. You said it perfectly “if I wanted to know about Jesus Christ bitch, I’d read the Bible.” Totally gives me the ick too.
Hi Jeremy!! ;) Great vlog!
"I look like Steve from Stranger Things" had me lmao😂😂😂😂
Men have never been afraid. They don’t know how to write horror. They have no predators. But women? We know horror. Everything and every day is a scary day for us. That’s my theory at least why horror by men is rarely good or relatable.
JEREMY HE'S BACK 😭😭😭💕💕💕
Hiiii Jeremy, thanks for your good work!!! 🤍

Hi Jeremy! Bahahaha! You are soooooo funny!
Hi Jeremy! You're doing a great job, keep it up! ☺

Same! The BDB was my intro into adult paranormal romance back in the day. Me and my cousin became obsessed with the series
" he seems like a very nice white man." Lol. Thanks sis.
Is anyone gonna tell her Jesus wasn’t white lmao
Stop calling me Tiffany 😂😂
Loved this vlog! But your cats seriously looking into empty rooms and doors with waggy rails. I’d be scared 😂😂
Omg your humour cured my depressed day 🥰
Hidden Jesus in any context gives me major ick.
There has been SO much hype about Hidden Pictures online... but I couldn't trust it since these are the same people who all recommended Stolen Tongues and that book was not it 🤔
I couldn't even finish The Book of Accidents... And I really tried. Twice. 😆
Hi Jeremy 😂just do what Jordaline says and all will be well 😆There are so many books with gorgeous covers then the blurb is meh 😩x
"are they dead? 👁👄👁"
I read White Horse when it came out and I loved it! I thought that book was wild.
I missed the hinted jabs at the left and maybe I didn't read it enough to remember the fat phobia
😂 Jeremy’s back I love jordaline she’s hilarious ❤
I think if you read THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME ull hate it prolly DNF it even because I hated it
Putting Serpent & Dove on my TBR thanks❤
Jordaline's Jeremy 😂 we love to see it ❤
I abhor with every fiber of my being Survive the Night by Riley Sager. It’s like he defecated on paper and his publisher bound them into a book lol
49:05 This video is a hoot! Loved it!
I don’t understand the hate for jay kristoff. He’s one of my favourite authors. People just want to find problems or be offended by everything these days
Interested to hear Jeremy’s review of Hidden Pictures. Tread carefully, JEREMY! Also, hi.

Bought In the clear Moonlight Dusk after you showed it the first time. Love it as well. Have all pre-ordered up to vol. 6 🤍
You can do it Jeremy.
Video idea.... Jordaline reads her patreon's work.... ?
I really enjoyed the serpent and the dove the next two not so much which I believe is blood and Honey and golden monster, that believes something not as good
Loved the video, Hidden Pictures is the worst. Aside from the transphobic twist, she hated her mom so much for heinous reasons while her mom was so supportive 😢. Serpent & Dove 🖤🥹 I low Key thought you might hate it but honestly so happy you loved it because I love that book so much.
Hi Jeremy.Keep up the good work. Also I HATED Hidden Pictures.Never have I ever read such an awful piece of literature
Hidden Pictures has so many 5 star reviews on storygraph 😬
Hi Jermy!
Hey Jeremy! 👋
