Cheri you are sweet for mentioning my channel- thank you so much! Isn’t it so fun to research, especially when you really find out something amazing! Always happy to help out. 21:45 those are Tagua nut and some sort of seeds, very popular natural material used in jewelry.
Yes, Hannah. Thank you. I did a Google search and figured out they are those nuts. They are so interesting. No wonder they use them in jewelry.
I’m so happy and honored to mention your channel. I hope you get lots of viewers and subscribers! When I first mentioned Rachel’s channel she said she got hundreds of new subscribers!! I was so excited for her! And I’m sure I have some from her channel as well.
But yes, you are so appreciated and very precious. I give credit where credit is due. ❤
(For some reason my Bluetooth keyboard isn’t working right but… I’ll say it without the thumbs…. “See You Next Time, at the Baubles!! Xoxo
Hi Cheri, just watching video late as i was traveling yesterday. Loved it as usual. Liked that orange glass beaded bracelet reminds me of one of my grandsughters.
Oh thank you! Ive had so many people ask for that bracelet and the colorful necklace and the cha cha bracelet. I wish i had one for everyone. Lol. Thanks again, Sheila. Always love to know when you are watching. ❤
Hi Cheri very beautiful necklaces, earrings craft bags a like. Love watching the unbaging of jewerly Carolyn. Waiting on the next video. Have a lovely week
Thank you, Carolyn. So happy to know you are watching AND enjoying. Makes all that I do, worth it. 😊
Another wonderful video! I think your videos are so relaxing because your voice is so soothing. Like getting a nice hug!
I love the pink clamper and the real flower bangle. They are so tempting, but hard circle ⭕️ bracelets never work for me, so I stopped buying them.
So excited you found Bakelite!
BTW, you can easily double a 40” necklace. Just make the first loop as short as possible, then adjust the lengths after the second loop is on. Kind of like winding the necklace on if that makes sense
Hello dear sweet Naomi!! So glad to know you are here watching. Now its me who feels a hug. lol.
Thanks for the info about doubling a necklace. Do you mean for a necklace that has no clasp?
Yes, you can double necklaces without a clasp by keeping the first loop close to the neck so there is more length for second loop to go around the head. Then adjust the loops afterwards. I’ve never measured to see the minimum length to get two loops, but it works 🤓
It's beautiful, you should keep it and you should keep the bracelet too. You work so hard at educating us about this and that. I think that you deserve it. Thank you for always educating us. You're so much fun
Thank you, Lisa. That is SO SWEET!!
Thanks for the talk on the beads. Intrigued me for its beauty. As I am not in any selling markets.
Yes, not matter what with all the facts, it is gorgeous.
Craft jar names, Virginia, Lizzy, Bessie, Dorothy, Craft Bag names, Rick, William, or Bill, Jacob, Quinn, Joseph, Adam, Aaron. These are all names of family members of mine. You want more suggestions? Okay, my sisters are Dana, Janell, Linnea. My brothers are Daren, Kyle.
Awesome! Thank you. I have written every one of them down. I have used several of those names, but some I have not. I haven’t used Adam, Aaron, Quinn, Linnea, and I don’t think I used Kyle yet. Thank you!!
Enjoyed! ❤😊
thank you very much. I enjoy your videos too. 😊
@@BlessedBaubles welcome 🥰
beautiful love it
Thank you! 😊
Thank you so much! I have such a hard time identifying gems. I knew obsidian would register glass and somewhat translucent but I have lots of black beads that I just don't know what they are. I watch videos of unboxings and people pull black stones out and even without a gem tester proclaim them onyx. I really need to study more so I can be confident of what I have. I enjoy your channel very much. Have a wonderful day.
Awww, I’m so glad that was a help to you. Yes, learning gems is hard. Mostly because there are so many names for the same stones. And a lot of stones these days are altered or reconsitutited or lab created. ?? Which is another reason why I love the vintage items. You knew what you were getting back then, for the most part.
I hope you’ll post your onyx discovery in the Facebook group. This was the perfect subject for our group. Thanks so much for watching. It’s great to have you here. ❤
Love Jason!❤
👍
Cheri, what a great video and a fantastic bag. It’s giving color after color after color, love it 🤩🤩🤩🫶🫶🫶
I think so too! So glad you are here.
Cheri, take another really close look at that red material in that necklace in the Henry bag. They could be red dyed coral barrel beads. Sometimes these coral necklaces have faux stones like turquoise that can mislead you. At least it looks like coral on my phone screen. I have a vintage necklace with coral beads like that. 😊
Yes Lois, you are exactly right. I did use my gem App on those beads and when I got to the beads on the end, the gem App said Red Coral. Then, when I turned them over and had a better look at them, it was obvious that they are coral. But it’s ok. The bag was sold and I hope the person who gets that piece will find a lovely use for it.
You are so sweet to let me know, though. Thank you so much. ❤
You know, when you see bags and jars of jewelry flying on my channel, that I’m anxious to get to those NEW BOXES that I’ve been waiting for months to open!! Hee hee. Move this stuff on out and in with the new. Woo hoo! can’t wait.
Bless you, sweet girl.
Thank you for sharing what you learned today . I as well learned a lot today and took some notes blessing to you😊
Wonderful! just remember, I'm not an expert, so.. .always do your research and feel free to post pieces in my Facebook group so we can brainstorm together. 👍
Thank you Cheri for another great video!
Thank YOU Penny, for watching and for taking your time to leave me an encouraging comment. So glad you are here.
I love the jewelry jars!💕
Thank you very much. So glad you are enjoying them. Thanks for watching.
Cheri, the piece at 21:51 is sliced Tagua Nut. I have seen many of these in the years I have done jewelry. ❤
That's what I got too when I Google searched it. Thanks so much! I'm glad to have the confirmation. I appreciate you very much!
Very nice peices and very good prices. Really enjoyed.
Thank you very much. So glad you are here, Cherie 😉 I spell my name Cheri 👍
Name a jar after my 18 months old granddaughter, Adriana. Thanks for a great channel 😊
Adorable name! Its on my list. I’m lookin forward to using it.
Thanks very much for watching and for leaving me the name. ❤
You got your name. It’s in my video called, “Jewelry Jars…” Enjoy! ❤
Hi, Cheri!
It is Yulia, the great fan of your channel) I'm so glad that you keep on posting unboxing videos one after another in short time intervals, so there are more and more new things to see😊
And once again I come up with a somewhat silly question. Why is bakelite jewelry so valued? Because it is vintage and collectible? The necklace with red round beads looks really nice, but it is made of an artificial plastic-like material after all, not real gemstones.... That puzzles me.
Thank you for all the explanations, I always learn from your videos and enjoy them greately!
Special greetings to Bolty and Tom from me and my cat Minya ❤
Awww, hello Yulia, hello to your cat Minya, too. ❤
Great question about Bakelite!
Bakelite is one of the first plastics created. Its quite different than the usual plastics and there are many reasons why it is so valuable. Its beauty is clearly one of the reasons. It would take too much room to explain in the comments, but in summary, it is extremely durable, beautiful, rare, and like many costume jewelry materials that are “not real” it is sometimes just as valuable as “real” gemstones.
Again, thanks for the great question. Perhaps I can expound on it a little more in future episodes. 👍 See You Next time, at the Baubles 👍😁
Dear Cheri!
Thank you so much for the explanation!
I can't wait to watch your next video! ❤
Another great video. 🙂
Wow! Thanks Jen. That means a lot coming from another UA-camr. It's nice to know you are watching. ❤
Hi Cheri and Baublers. Bake-lite doesn't smell like formaldehyde. It smells like kerosene, because kerosene was one of the catalyzing substances used in the production of bake-lite. I used to own some bake-lite pieces. Also the surface of the stuff feels slightly greasy. The necklace at 20:53 is made of deer antler. The cracking occurs when the antler begins to dry out completely. The necklace pieces appear to have been varnished/sealed which should prevent further cracking.
The turquoise colored necklace at 28:00 is most likely Magnesite. Howlite looks like someone deliberately cracked it and dyed it. Magnesite just looks veined, but not "crackled".
Thanks so much. Yes, some people say the smell is different to them. But for sure, there is a distinguishable smell and that is a helpful thing when determining.
The deer antler necklace... are you sure it's not those large nuts sliced into slivers? I was able to Google search the piece and came up with those large nuts used in jewelry. Let me know what you think.
Yes, the blue necklace, I'm getting better at recognizing magnesite and its a fun thing for sure. I also saw that these are very lovely pieces sometimes sold as layering pieces. It was certainly popular with people asking to buy it. As was the Bakelite piece, as both are already sold.
Thank you!!
@@BlessedBaubles , you're welcome, my friend. I don't know anything about the nuts. I would have to research them. Your identification skills are getting better and better. It takes time to develop those, but yours are improving by leaps and bounds. I'm so glad for you. 👍👍💙
Good job!💕
I appreciate your encouragement very much. Do you make videos? If so, please let us know and I'll be glad to watch. It's a lot harder than it looks, but I still love what i'm doing. People are very kind. I've found my people. lol
Great lesson on the Cherry Bakelite.
Oh goodness. You are very kind, Angela. I always feel so sheepish when someone says they've learned something because I have so much to learn and I'm sure I get things wrong all the time, as I'm learning, as we all do. But on this piece, I put hours into it, and although I kinda of knew down in my knower, I was still very surprise and excited to confirm it is Bakelite! That that tell-tale smell is the best way to know that it is Bakelite.
Hi Cheri. You can also test for Bakelite with 409 cleanersnd also WTH baking soda and water
Thanks for the tip!
Bag Henry is my favorite so many pieces I would have bought on they’re own
Nice to know, Sandra. Wait until you see my next video!! Owls, girl. Hee hee
I will definitely be learning today on this video! 😊
Thank you Cheri! ❤
Wow, Jamie! You are so sweet!! I feel a high five from you. Thanks so much for that. 🙌
@@BlessedBaubles 🙌🏽🥰
Hi Bolty❣️
He said, “Hi France”. 😂
Sometimes when the beads have a coating it won’t test as Bakelite. I saw an identical necklace that was sold as Bakelite.
Ya, I'm not sure what it is about the Red and the Black not always testing with the paste. But that smell... one can never deny.
You understand how it feels to be stumped on a piece of jewelry. So, when I finally figured it out, I was very excited for sure.
Nice pieces Cheri you should knit a cute hat for balty lol he's cute
@@loriorciuoli8003Haha. That’s a cute thought. But I’m sure he would not keep it on. However, they have plenty of crocheted beds from Mama that they just LOVE to sleep on. 😂
See You Next time, at the Baubles 👍😁
As for the identical one sold, it was probably one of the examples I used in my comps. 👍
I have a few name suggestions: Charmaine, Cindi, Bea, Flora, Maude, Oleanna, Jody, Evie, Leah, Dottie, Faith, Annie, Addie, Raven, Holly, Amy, Maria, Betty, Roseanne, Daisy,
For men: Ty, Colin, Cedric, Shane, Pete, Frank, Jack, Mark, Jeremy, Shaun, Colby, Barry, Austin, Leon,
Lawrence, Butch, Willie
Are these all names that mean something to you? Or are you just being helpful?
THank you.
Omg how exciting that it’s Bakelite and what a beautiful colour. I think I have two Bakelite bangles but am unsure how to test I can smell a funky smell when I warm it up with my fingers. I will have to get some of that paste to test it.
Nancy was my nans name it would be great for a jar
Hi Carol! If you smell that smell when the bracelets are warmed up, from what I've heard and researched, that seems to be the best tell-tale sign there is. Not sure you need the paste. But its good to have on other pieces that you are unsure of. It's also a great polish, and a little bit goes a long way. There are other ways to test Bakelite too. Maybe I'll mention them in my next video.
So good to know you are watching. ❤
Hi Cheri❤
Hey Ho France girl. lol
Hi 👋 how r u. The red beads at 58.16 maybe wood or faturan beads. If u research and google a little on faturan beads maybe it will help gain knowledge on these beads. Your videos r so relaxing to watch.Best wishes for your work. Thank you 😊
Hello BeadsandPlants. Thanks for watching and for your helpful comment.
I did quite a lot of research on Bakelite and Futuran beads. Futuran is more of the swirly type of Bakelite-like materials. The necklace at 38:16 I found out does have Red Coral on the ends. I believe the center pieces are very old Howlite. But interesting looking, isn’t it?
Thanks again for the comment. I’ll keep researching these many of materials and appreciate all the wonderful help I get in the comments, too.
See You Next time, at the Baubles 👍😁
The chunky necklace that glows blue, is lead glass.
Hello Angla, Thanks for the input. I don't think it could be glass because its acrylic. But I can see how it would look like glass on the video. I'll double check it. :)
I love your videos! I would like to purchase these boxes from Goodwill for my own needs, but which kind of boxes do you bid on? There are many to choose from, but i always like the quality and jewelry you buy. Thanks!!!
Hi there! Thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to leave me a comment. I really appreciate you!
There are hundreds, if not thousands of boxes of great jewelry available from ShopGoodWill daily. I only get one about every month or so. I wish I could get one a day!!
I don’t have a formula for how to get “quality” boxes, and it really depends on the kind of jewelry you are hoping for. Some are looking for precious metals. Others are looking for vintage pieces. And so on. In some of my videos I share a few things that I do. 1. I look at the photos the best I can. 2. I save the auctions that look good to me, in my “Favorites” and go back and look at pics again. 3. I set an alarm to be there when the auction is ending. 4. I am prepared to pay what the box is worth to me and I don’t expect to get it cheap.
The boxes that seem consistently more expensive are probably that way for a reason.
Lastly, keep in mind that people are buying boxes for different reasons. Some are collectors, some are resellers, and so on. So, keep that in mind when looking too. Hope that helps. Thanks again.
Thank you so much! That was so helpful!!!
𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙤!
Thanks so much! Thanks for being here. ❤
“Fleurs De Montange” is French for Flowers of Mountain” or “Mountain flower” pronounced Flur de Mon-tan-ya 😀😍
Wow! That’s pretty. Thank you.
I did think of researching it before I started recording the video, but it arelady took me hours to get ready and I just wanted to roll. Lol. So, I really appreciate your wonderful help.
So at the end, it is pronounced, Mon-tan-ya? Interesting. I was thinking ayne like Champagne. But I stand corrected. ❤
Loving the video so far! I’m at TS 29:00 and thought about something I read regarding howlite and magnesite: howlite has dark gray to black veining and magnesite has gray to brown veining. Also, in their natural state, howlite is shiny and magnesite is dull. I didn’t, however, find out how dying the stones might affect the attributes mentioned.
Hi June, Thanks so much for watching and for your lovely comment.
I have also repeated that Howlite has gray lines and Magnesite, brown. When we are up close to the stones, most times we can tell what color the lines are even after dying.
I think I remember now that I’ve heard you say that very thing!
Put some brass polish on those hoops, wow!
I know! They are gorgeous!! I'd love to see them polished, too.
But I don't polish the jewelry unless I"m requested to. You would be surprised how many people love that patina!! Me included. But I'm sure polished, they would look gorg too!!
That brown necklace is bone maybe horn but probably bone. Bone looks like that. Also place a bracelet in back you can double it.
Maybe Gayle. I’ll look into it again. Thank you! ❤️
When I screen shot it and Google searched, I get Lagua (sp?) Nuts. Still gorgeous for sure wether bone or nuts. Some shops on my Main Street sell all natural material necklaces made out of these nuts, and not for cheap. I hope someone will love it for its beauty and its nontoxic qualities. 👍
I did not consider nut. You might be on to something. It is stunning.
Cheri, what do you find onyx reading on the presidium? I have trouble telling what is onyx.
Hello Janette. I usually Google what the Moh’s hardness is for a stone, then I compare it to a stone that would read in that same area, on the Presidium.
I think the last time I checked, Moh’s for Onyx was equal to or less than 7. So, 6-7. Glass was about 5.5. Garnet around 6.5-7.5. So, in my reasoning, onyx would test above glass and about the same or just under Garnet.
Onyx can also have grays and greens in it, but is mostly very black for its dark beauty.
Research the Moh’s and let me know what you find.
Find similar stone’s hardness and compare to where they would register on the Miss Prissy. That’s my answer. :) I hope it helps.
Whoo I am here this evening!
Yay, Cindy. ❤
At 52:34, on that blue-green bead, could it be ceramic?
haha!! You know it is. That's your sweet way of correcting me or helping me get the word out. To bad I couldn't hear you when I was recording. 😄
Beautiful beads!
How did you shine those beads?
Which beads, Jamie? Can you leave me a timestamp so I can respond? Thanks!!!

Hi Christina. I’d love to use those names. Just be aware that I’ve already recorded the next video that you’ll see, so I won’t be using them right away. unless I get a chance to insert a little clip with some All-Wearable Jewelry Jars with some Sterling and gemstones, like I did on this video, as they sold out quickly and have a request for more. So, I’ll try to make another clip and add it on to the next video.
I’m sorry about Bailey. I can’t imagine how hard it is. God bless your Zoey. I pray for many years of health and happiness. They are such treasures!! Xoxo Cheri
Can I suggest names for craft jars? Esmeralda and Elzette. (My godchilfren) Please! I also want to add Whitney (She is getting married to Hercules, my godson.) I want to suggest Hercules for one of your bags.
Ok Trudy, I have them all written down. Thanks so much!
See You Next time, at the Baubles 👍😁
Sometimes you don't say if the pearls are real or not. And we don't know if the faux pearls are glass or plastic, such as the earrings at 48:49 and again at 49:30. Should we just assume they are faux pearls if you don't specify that? But I do really want to know if they are glass pearls.
Oh, really? I am surprised at myself!! i must be getting lazy!! I’m sorry about that.
I usually get criticized for describing things TOO much. Lol.
Time stamps 48:49 is the pair of Two-fers and they are faux pearls. The next pair at TS 49:30 is silver tone lever backs and they are faux pearls. I’ll try to be more aware to specify next time.
You are driving me hard today, Megan. 😂 Thanks for letting me know.
I also called Labradorite incorrectly according to my rockhound friend. He told me it is found in Labrador, Canada; therefore, called Labradorite. Like the dog. Labrador, not Labrader. ( anyway, not earth shattering I am sure; however, that is how I was corrected)
It's just one of those words people get very particular over. But next time you hear someone say, "jewelry", let me know what you think. 😄
Hello Cheri❗️❤😊

I could give you lots of names. My children Vince, Neal, Mathew, Anthony,Megan,Erin Daphne. Stay tuned f 24:10 or the names of my 22 gran dchildren and one great granddaughter
Lol. Thank you, Sheila. Great names!! I have not used the names, Vince, Neal, or Daphne yet.
Also, please note that I have already recorded my next video, so you won’t be hearing them just yet. But I have them all written down and will be honored to use them. Thanks!! ❤
I owe you a apology for not subscribing to your channel and the reason is not worthy to present! I have tried to watch but I become impatient with the length of time it takes for you to show a piece, describe it, only go over the same thing again.....then you ponder over pricing! Then we you have me (I started to say "we" but it's just my hang up! Then you set your prices at retail or above and I don't knock you for getting that bread! I'm a resaler and I'm on a fixed income! Nevertheless, you are getting much better! I would like to congratulations on your wonderful finds! So many I like! I've been collecting forever! Some 67 years.....I was nearly 4 years old. I love things that shine! Enough of that! Keep going and sincerely I do apologize! Razzle Dazzle! Oh yeah, one other thing that little chant you do "wait for your mate, wait for your mate" is a Father with twins and he sings it to them! It's awfully similar!! That cracks me up😂😂😂😂😂 See you around! I still have not subscribed! I'm not that easy!💕😂💕😂💕😂
This comment was not very kind. Also you said the reason was not worthy to present and then you presented the reason. Why even comment if you are just going to give back handed compliments?
I understand, Sue. We all have a different tastes and like different UA-camrs.
Most of the people who watch me say they do so because they really appreciate the time that I take.
I take my time because I'm interested in showing what the materials are, the condition, and I truly enjoy exploring the pieces. If I rush, I could miss something, and that would not be nice to my subscribers and especially my buyers, and could end my business.
I have bought items from several UA-camrs only to get the items and there is something wrong with them. I don't send them back, but I do learn from this.
I'm still a very new UA-camr and never expected my videos to go anywhere, but they did. I'm new to jewelry too. But after all of this, this is my business and I must be sure that I'm selling a good item.
Thanks for your input. I do listen and I do learn from everything that is said.
My Mom always said, "walk a mile in my shoes before you criticize".
Thank you, Jen. ❤
