What a beautiful theatre. Your word, 'Majestic,' is fitting. Congratulations to all of Tampa and the United States. Thanks for the video, Jay!
Wow! Awesome theater. Thanks for showing this beautiful place.
The camera does it no justice. Thank you Mark
That theater looks amazing. I'm getting my first dose Monday afternoon. Can't wait to go back to the movies!

Amazing!! Great video!
I’ll have to go check out the Tampa Theatre! It’s beautiful!!!
Thank you my friend
I only have one word-stunning. We had one similar in Sacramento and it was razed to build a Safeway.😩 Jay, you are an “old soul” in the way you love these precious landmarks from the past, similar to Adam the Woo in that respect. When the organ rose from the orchestra pit and the organist began to play, I couldn’t believe it. Thank you for taking us along, this was an amazing video.💙
I grew up in Sacramento. Please don’t tell me it was my favorite theatre ever- The Alhambra 😢??
@@kathyinwonderlandl.a.8934 yes, the beautiful Alhambra was demolished in 1973 and a Safeway grocery store was built. Horrid! It was so beautiful. It was a stunner.
It’s my pleasure Laurel grateful and thankful you admired it. This is a special place
I love that building. There’s no bad seats either. Thanks for sharing this with us.😊💕👍
I love the Tampa theater 🎥
Cool
When I saw the news online, on their Facebook page, the other day that they were reopening I was really happy. Glad to see that beautiful theatre reopened again. 😀
That theatre is absolutely stunning! It's so nice to see such history preserved! Thanks Jay!
It holds a special place in my heart and the camera does it no justice. Thank you Jenna
That's wonderful Jay. 🤠
My rate to this video is...
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 And one gold ⭐ star.
Thanks Tony :-)
Very cool theater
That theater looks so amazing! Reminds me of the palace theatre here in my town, ours also has an organ that rises from the floor. It was open in the mid 1920s & thankfully was saved from the wrecking ball back in the early 80s. They opened ours up late summer last year.
Thank you Tim
What a awesome Theater it is beautiful , the craftsmanship WoW! This was a awesome veiw Jay! I cannot Believe the Cinema Experience isn't like this everywhere! What a blast watching! Appreciate it Jay for taking us along! Luv&Peace Cheers!
Thank you Sean!
Thanks for sharing your story. That is a great theater. To many movies that I want to see keep getting pushed back.
I want to see so many too. Thank you Bob

One thing I really like about your videos is that I feel like you are talking directly to me and only to me. Facetiming with Tampa Jay! Thanks for the call! Lol
Thanks Laurel I’m happy to be there with you and everyone. Priceless moments for me
Thank you SO much for sharing your experience with us! I saw Gone With the Wind there around 1970 and it is a gorgeous theater! I am so glad it has survived. I especially enjoyed the Wurlitzer show. They had a Wurlitzer at Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs where my son went to school and they often used it during musicals the students put on and I loved hearing it. Thanks again for sharing a part of old Florida that still lives!
The you so much Trish! I’ve been meaning to see GWTW there they still play it every year
I have good luck, I am #100 on your Thumbs Up. 👍
What a beautiful building .
Thank you Bee!

Such a beautiful, old theater, if walls could talk, just imagine the stories. Looking forward to seeing some classic Halloween movies there and also some of the classics at other times, thanks for taking us along Jay, always looking forward to much ahead.
🎃
A Nightmare On Franklin series is my faves time of year the theatre
Excellent place to see a concert!!, balcony section gives a better view of the layout. They used to have afternoon walking tours. It's a must see place! Thank you!, Tampa Jay from Oldsmar 😁
Tampa Jay on the Tampa Bay reporting :)
Great vlog Jay! It is so nice to see that they have re-opened! Looking forward to seeing you there and doing more vlogs from there in the future. I cannot wait to go back to the movie theater by me.
Thanks so much Nick I’m gonna be back for sure
Thankyou Tampa Jay ♥️🙏😊
Thank you Mary
Excellent video!
Thanks Robert
Great job Jay! So good to see things getting back to "normal". Never been inside that theatre but drove by it a few times and I liked the outside alot. As you said it is very a historic landmark in the city and now that I've had a glimpse of the inside I'll have to make a point of catching a flick inside there next trip to Tampa. What a beautiful facility in downtown TB!
Thank you David!
Happy to see you back in your old Haunts and enjoying it! I rmember all your videos from this place!
Thanks so much Joey! It was so good to be back
That theater looks beautiful! Kind of reminds me of the shrine here in LA.
Would love to see the shrine someday
Wow that theatre is SO my cup of tea!! If ever I'm in the area, I'd like to go there!! There's kind of this down-home silent film theatre here where I live and it hasn't opened back up again and I'm ACHING for it to!!
in all the years i lived in tampa i never been to the theatre wished i could have been there
Come back and check it out sometime it’s so worth the trip
This looks like a beautiful theater. It reminds me of a miniature version of the Fox Theater in Atlanta. Very similar in style.
I’ve been to the Fox! Also designed by Eberson
It's been a long year, nice to see it opened back up. It's a really beautiful building. Enjoyed the video 👍
Thank you Kris it was good to be back
Awwweee thank you sweet jay🌈🌈
Thank you!
This place is amazing, it reminds me of the Brixton Academy in London but even that doesn’t compare!
Thanks so much for sharing!
Would love to see that theater you mentioned.
@@TampaJay Maybe when things get back to normal you can come visit.
It would be very interesting to see your take on the UK.
Hi there Jay, I hope you're having a wonderful and amazing day today!!! I love this video, thank you for sharing with us. This building is so beautiful, I love all the original carvings, moldings and that ceiling is amazing, it looks like the night sky. I love how they restored all the seats and all of those antiques too. You don't see original ticket booths like that very often, that one is amazing. The guy playing the organ was really cool to see too, is the organ original to the theater, because it was beautiful too. Thank you again for sharing another amazing and wonderful video. Happy Friday, and have a beautiful, wonderful and amazing weekend Jay!!!🤗💖🤗💖🤗💖🤗
Thank you Lana so happy to hear you enjoyed. This is a very special place for me
🤗💖🤗💖🤗

I wish to see them arise once again too. Thank you Mark God bless
Great video Tampa Jay!
Then you bub
I am excited for you and I would feel the same way as you.
Thanks buddy
love the inside the theatre! didn't encounter the resident ghost on that tour. what i remember, along with the architecture and Werlitzer organ, was in the ladies room, there was a stall for the younger viewer.
Which ghost? Fink Finley is my fave. Haha thanks my friend
@@TampaJay I like the Fink Finley story the best, but i understand there's a lady in white dress (named Jesse or Jezebel) who died at the theater site before there was a theater and that of a soldier in older uniform. The soldier could possible from Civil War era, not sure if Union or Confederate. (there was some minor Civil War action; a Union cannonball landed in the Oaklawn Cemetery in downtown Tampa),
it's good we can all come around a year later and see some good things get to be enjoyed again, i'm waiting to see if i can catch 'kONG V.S. gODZILLA",in hopes that my theaters to reopen soon.
There's a Theater in Knoxville that is like that Theater it's huge as well. It's called the Tennessee Theater and they show both screen and stage performances. A lot of Broadway shows come to the Tennessee Theater. It's a beautiful Theater you have there just like Tennessee. If you ever visit Tennessee you should visit the Tennessee Theater I believe you would enjoy it 😎✌️
Thanks Michael that sounds awesome
It feels like a million years since I’ve been to a movie. Happy to see this beautiful theater reopening again. I always like it when you feature this place, and it brings hope to see these kind of things coming out the other side of the pandemic.
I never been to Tampa theater before
It’s worth a trip. They just sold out a show to ELF next weekend but they will be playing it’s a wonderful life for a week!
My favorite happens to be Jesus Christ Superstar.. it’s magical. What a place and what wonderful people to appreciate the past and putting their pockets where their mouths are.

Well done! we had a similar Theatre in Downtown Miami called the Olympia! (www.olympiatheater.org/) check it out when you go back to Miami! The movie is a great way for us with no experience with someone with Alzheimer's or Dementia(Which my mother suffered through) can see life from their Eratic and Confusing perspective. Thanks for this we needed to see some classic Movie Theatre views!
