If you haven’t yet read his book “Eternal Man” I strongly recommend it. It helped me understand the Plan of Salvation better than anything else.

1:27:32 I've read the talk from President Spencer W. Kimball that he's referring to here and Pres. Kimball did NOT say "Rule" should be translated as "Preside". I'm pretty sure the Prophet Joseph Smith translated it correctly when he said "Rule" in the book Moses, because that's the exact word he used when he translated it as it was revealed to him.
President Kimball said “I have a question about the word Rule. It gives the wrong impression. I would prefer to use the word Preside because that’s what he does. A righteous husband Presides over his wife and family.” (Ensign, Mar. 1976, p. 72.) He said he would Prefer to use Preside instead of Rule, not that it should be translated that way. Joseph Smith used the word "Rule" when he translated the book of Moses as we have it in the Pearl Of Great Price and I believe him. If Pres. Kimball said somewhere else that it should be translated as "Preside" please let me know.
The word used for Rule in this case is the same word used all throughout the bible describing how a king rules over his kingdom, and Joseph Smith used that same word in the Book of Moses. I don't try to change the meaning of scriptures just to fit social and political views.

Just like temple ordinances are adjusted so that we can understand them more fully, the word preside may also be construed that way. The restoration is happening now. I mean the restoration is ongoing - to allow all of God’s children to fully comprehend His doctrine. Doctrine doesn’t change but changes are made in order for us to be able to come to know our Father in heaven better.

Refer to Temple dialogue, both Iniatory and Sealing.

Good kings define rule differently than bad kings. Maybe President Kimball was simply providing context as the current prophet to those who needed to better understand the context. Good husbands defining rule differently than bad husbands.
If there's really any context we should look to today to provide clearer understanding, it is the family proclamation.
However I still love to hear speakers such as Truman Madsen provide additional insight and ideas on things we can do to improve ourselves. Nothing wrong with that at all. Great talk.

"Living water" is water that flowed. John the Baptist was baptising in "living water", i.e., the Jordan River.
The water in Jacob's Well did not flow, therefore, it was not "living water"-an idiom used by Samaritans and Jews.

The well of living water is symbolized by the Gospel. The well itself is Jesus Christ. He is the One who gives that water that springs forth to everlasting life. In that blessed state, the exalted will not spiritually thirst again.

@@lw1959 he is giving a lecture on marriage from the religious perspective of the Mormon Church. Most of his points are backed from the Book of Mormon or some other source to given as authority behind his statements. Very much not philosophy

@@calebbond9253 There is no such thing as the Mormon Church. This man is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was my philosophy professor at BYU. You seem to think there is something wrong with his lecture because he didn’t choose the source material you would have chosen. I invite you to listen to what he has to say rather than criticize him for what he didn’t say.

Now your busy rewriting your rather nasty history I think you should rename MM massacre the picnic of misunderstandings I really do find Mormons entertaining with the constant victim card they play Muslims are fun to argue with too since their prophet tells them they can beat their wives

Was Jesus married? Did he have children? The book of Hebrews informs us, that Jesus, as the Christ, is a "great high priest".
Furthermore, there is a tradition that Mary the Magdalene was the wife of Jesus; who fled to France, in the care of Joseph of Arimathea.
