My husband and I are both 90's kids. We grew up in the same town but went to different elementary schools. I told him how I used to make glue bookmarks out of the Spacemaker pencil box and asked if he did that as well. He said he never did!! 😱 I found this video so I could show him. 😂
I made these all the time. I had to put my case up on a high shelf in my room because my little brother would find it and stick his finger in it while it was drying and it made me so mad! This was seriously the best thing for us kids who were obsessed with peeling dried glue
I would consider myself a 90's kid. Even though it was just one year 😂 Still I feel nostalgic towards the time period But this seems to be a real fun idea, hope it's still around 🤔
I know! I’d especially like to know if kids are still doing this (though the spacemaker cases we used are only available via eBay so they’d need to be making them with something else). But kids are creative!
"I was born in 1990." Ok, now I feel really old. Actually, I am really old so fair enough. I was 21 in 1990 (it seems so long ago, oh hey, it is)... We didn't do that bookmark thing at school (I seem to remember books hadn't been invented at the time) but I wish we did.
Still waiting on the printing press back then, eh? 😂 j/k The bookmark thing seems like a pretty localized phenomenon to the 90s. Maybe from one of many kids TV shows booming in that era? Either way, it made me feel very cool at the time. And I’ve never been one to feel cool 😅 so I cling to that moment!

Yes!!! I do not understand this bizarre phenomenon but the people who know KNOW!
I did the same for my wife lmao 😅

I just scribbled on my spacemaker with crayon when I was in second grade. I was a late 90's/early 2000's kid.
that's so cool! i wish i kept my spacemaker :P
Oh man, (born in '94) I remember doing a bunch of shrinky dinks as a kid, is that something you're interested in?

So THATS why kids were drawing on their spacemakers
The mysteries!!!!
man I thought I was the only one doing this back then haha
I had one of these at a friend made. But I left it in my book too long and it's stuck to the book and ripped the pages😅
