just like him, i used to hate metal bat a _LOT._ but then, a few months ago, i tried it, and i liked it so much it became my new main. it's just one of those characters that has a really easy-to-use moveset and is very easy to combo with.
that technique is pretty good, but its really only useful when u only have grand slam available, as it can be counter, and theres a good unescapable combo, if u use foul ball like u use front dash, you actually stay in place, then u side bash beatdown.
heres a trick for metal bat: If you use homerun and side dash to where your opponent got flung, you can use grandslam as a combo extender since they'll still be midair, it has its own cutscene move
im a metal bat main and this character is cracked if you know all the combo tech since literally every move goes hand in hand. you can combo anything with anything and it most likely will work
you guys need to learn this with the metal bat ult.. when you pop ult you can cancel savage and brutal by clicking the counter almost if not imediately after you use it, this can be used to bait but keep in mind it does count for cooldown in which ever ability you cancel.
Quick little technique for Metal Bat that I (probably?) found out. Delaying your m1s by a little after a Beatdown can allow you to get an uppercut if ping and the timing aligns, giving an Aerial Grandslam and the m1s after that. I’ve landed it twice, and considering that I am terrible, I think that is remarkable.
You can keep the timing that you use for ground pound with this move if you just make it so the uppercut is done while jumping, you just have to click slightly faster midair than when you're using ground pound midair. This makes it more consistent and easier to hit.
Btw you can cancel into death blow in the savage tornado and brutal beatdown windup animations, which is crazy because if your enemy tries to cancel your attack, you can counter them, and if you miss the counter, death blow still does a tonn of damage and aoe, and if they dont cancel it, you can use your original attack which are still very good
Yes, I agree because I too use to hate metal bat but when I played with it it was actually more fun because u have to calculate your distance for the moves so it's more challenging and more enjoyable

I've been playing this game for a month, maining metal bat the whole time, and I literally learned a new obscure tech where if you're fighting teamers you can use the collateral downslam from beatdown to launch another player into the air and follow up with an aeriel grand slam. Metal bat is a slow, impactful, methodical character, with mobile guardbreak AoE moves. He's so good at slow comboing that he quite literally has an INFINITE combo, where he can stall so much that nearing the end of a cycle, the moves from the beginning of a cycle are already up again. Metal bat can quite literally oneshot combo the new ice boss. I hate that people just don't know how this character really works and refuse to learn it because it really is very cool if you take the time.

As a hero hunter and saitama main, I switched to metal bat and wanted to become a metal bat main since metal bat is unpredictable and weird. But Garou and Saitama are predictable nowadays since they have been in the game for soo long. (Metal bat tip: Use foul ball to your advantage at all times to get a hit on opponents), (Did you know: U can counter grand slam with an m1 before they hit you and punish em).
a good idea to cover the idle would be that you edit the merch and you put some crazy looking gloves and some drippy shoes. that would be better in my opinion
I feel they changed the game physics and mechanics a little bit. And the ping is getting worse, like on my screen by character’s body is really close to the opponent’s body and I punch, but it doesn’t render that punch.
I am never going to get how some genos players are unimaginable dumb at the game because as a genos player I can confirm that it is the easiest character to use since it’s very easy to bait out counters, it’s extremely spamable, and very good for running and catching up to people who run. So the thing about lock on with controller is there is a big difference between PC and console where on PC it allows you to lock on from a further distance and console where you have to be right there to lock on weirdly.
no actually, its only because the white dot is not actually your cursor. Your actual cursor is invisible and is below that white dot somewhere in the middle of the screen. That's why you cant lock on from a far.

Foul Ball's miss variant does 1% more damage than it's hit variant The more you know slam someone into the ground then leap past them in a 180 and you'll respect metal at even more

metal bat litteraly has its 4th m1 as an extender,and then all the other moves as extenders.i kid you not,homerun,beatdown,grand slam,foul ball,they ALL can extend (yeah,he uses this in the video,but i think its not always one shot)
My only issue with metal bat is the hotboxes on everything are unbalanced
Grail made me realize that metal bat is actually broken when it is in his hands
Funny thing is at 4:24 i fought that frost guy in a public server he had a different user at the time but he has the exact same outfit from when i fought him this was like over 10 hours ago
