Wolfgang Niedecken's band BAP was one of the biggest rock bands in Germany in the 80's and 90's, they filled arenas up to 100 k ppl. They opened for the Rolling Stones and Mick asked the promoter "who the eff are they, and what is going on?!" Check them out next, preferably ' Verdammt lang her' live!

AMK is young singer, guitar and drums always same 3 guys. Henning May...so glad you discovered this band. I'm 77 year old American who discovered AMK a few months ago and absolutely LOVE them. Enjoy....also Giant Rooks are great.

Wolfgang Niedecken not only sings german he sings Kölsch, the home dialect of the both.
The dialect, which Henning sings partly in the AMK song 'Tommi'.

Wolfgang Niedecken is a well-known German musician and the lead singer of the band BAP. BAP is a rock band that gained popularity in Germany in the 80s with their unique blend of rock, blues, and Cologne dialect lyrics. Niedecken is also known for his socially and politically engaged lyrics. He has been a prominent figure in the German music scene for decades. Here he sing in the Cologne Dialect as well. Annenmaykantereit is from Cologne as well if you didn't know😊
You should definitetly react to Kummer feat. Henning May with " Der Rest meines Lebens" live from Wuhlheide!😊 Love your AMK reactions!!!

I think Kummer is a great lyricist and clever wordsmith. I'm sorry my old American ears can't get used to German hip-hop but I'm trying!❤

In my opinion the best songs of AMK are the five "Proberaum Session" which means rehearsal room session:
    - Ausgehen
    - Vielleicht vielleicht
    - Ich geh heut nicht mehr tanzen
    - 3 Tage am Meer
    - ...
    Greatings from Cologne.

I like your reactions cause it seems like you are reflecting exactly how I feel about their songs. I did not dig this song either. One of a very few I did not like. In AMK defense I would say - it could be that Henning, out of the respect to the older musician, gave him the right to rule how the cover would be done and did not want to overshine him, but only to assist and support. Very Henning's like.
If we do have similar taste in AMK songs, Schlagschatten song is probably my favorite from the Schlagschatten album. Would be great to see your reaction.

I fully felt the nostalgia that this song was meant to invoke . BTW Bob Dylan won the Noble peace prize for literature in 2016 . So i say he was up there with Bob Marley . And Dylan was certainly not a pop artist . Thank you for your honest reaction ❤

I guess, Henning felt quite honored to do this together with such a home town hero of him. ❤

What do you mean you're not going to put Bob Dylan on the level of Michael Jackson or Bob Marley, bob Dylan has just as much if not more impact on the world of music than them.
