In my country there is a tunnel in the highway after which is a police point. Speed limit is 80 km/h (50 mp/h).
There was recently a case where a policeman was run over with a car and caused his death. Would be a sad news until you learn that they tend to jump in one of the lanes to signal and pull cars from the other.
Recently one such guy jump in front of my car to be able to signal another car in the other lane to pull over ... had to break hard and swerve a bit to not hit him.

I’m not familiar with the location, but I got the impression she was from out of town, and therefore potentially unfamiliar with that intersection.
Combine those two factors with an emergency vehicle (with emergency lights ON/ lit)…
The safer option, as a driver, would have been to slow down considerably, stopping if necessary, until the person directing traffic makes it very clear to you that you can/should continue.

I got hit from the side and had been flipped around from the way I was going. I was staring at a cop car…but it was also rush hour so I just pulled to the parking lot near where the cop was in the road as did the other person. I was in the wrong for sure running the light. But the cop was yelling at me saying I tried to run away when I was just trying to get out of the way. The other person was so nice and eventually another cop had to tell him to get out of my face and go calm down.
Should also mention none of us where going fast so while damage was done both our cars still ran. I think my car was the one damaged most. And neither were totaled at all and both ran. We both drove our cars back to where we were headed in the first place.

When I was 19 years old, I was driving home from work on total auto-pilot. There was a wooden sawhorse and a police officer barricading my lane and-without thinking-I drove around it and kept going. As soon as I did it, I realized what I did, turned around, and went back. I apologized profusely to the officer. He looked tired and pretty annoyed, but he told me, “You came back. Just…go.” He didn’t raise his voice once. The officer in this video needs anger management classes.

I wish we had them where I live. Oh we DID, for like 2 weeks. Then the cops all just stopped using them one by one and no cameras anywhere anymore. Why? Because about 2/3 of the police force in this state is corrupt as hell and cameras expose corruption and keep cops honest, but they don't want to be honest so they had to get rid of the cameras. For this reason alone I will always, ALWAYS film ANY AND ALL interactions I have with cops, EVERY TIME no matter what the cops say. Especially because if you're white in this state they'll throw the book at you.
