I'm glad I can help. I'm trying my best not to lose own sanity in this crazy world. Good that we have knitting, right? I'm always happy to share the joy, when I manage to find it.
I love, love, love your videos! Because you are a real and down to earth person! Wishing you all that is good and brings you and your family peace and ease! 🐑♥️🐑♥️🐑
Lit my candle while listening to you. It’s lovely being with you. Love the Festive Sweater. Purchased it to knit for next Christmas. You are so inspiring to me. Enjoy your day.
I love the colourful sweater you are wearing. The socks for Vlogmas socks for your daughter and a hat for your husband. The sweater is gorgeous the colours are great 👍
It's such a good decision to make! I needed to hear it this evening, thank you Jana. You're such a ray of sunshine! Can't wait to watch your vlogmas. This will be actually my first time watching a vlogmas on time and not many months after. Your sweaters are very lovely!
Thank you for a lovely episode. Lot of work but much appreciated. Cheered me up no end. I did remember your Christmas jumper! How lovely it is and good luck with the sleeves and the fit. Looking forward to December. This is not an easy time for many but we need to remember and take a minute to reflect and pick out what we do have to be happy and grateful about despite everything - no matter how small. Xx
Your sweater is absolutely gorgeous. I hope it fits. I’m so glad you are doing the vlogmas I look forward to hearing your giggle. We are all having difficulties in life. We must remain positive. You always make me feel happy when I watch you.
Thank you for rising my dark mood, as always you made my day; hopefully everything straightens out for you. My knitting until the 24. will be another pair of socks and finishing my summer sweater. Maybe i get time for the spinning projects, but as you always say: i put no stress at me. Have a good time
I plan to knit some socks for my oldest daughter for Christmas. My son's and youngest daughter's presents have been knit earlier. Then I will start something for myself. I'm so excited you are doing Vlogmas again.
That was🏘lovely,,,Jana!,! Thanks so much,,,, Love UR winter red and white sweater!!,, And I did start a jelly roll blanket ages ago,,,,must work on it more in January,,,and get more leftovers,,,,in it,,,, Elaine 🏡🏡🏡
Dear Jana, What a great christmas sweater - I think it looks wonderful and I love the patterns you chose. Looking foreward to vlogmas with you. Wish you a lot of joy and brighter days ahead! Love Christina
such a cute animated intro! ha, ha 'it wouldnt be good to make a sad vlog"! its true, theres always one thing or another to worry about but its important to keep cheerful for others I think you are right... thank you for the podcast today!
I am going to be knitting the Cozy Knitter Advent because of you. I watched you knit them last year and liked how manageable they were. I bought a Rideau kit from the Plucky Knitter. Those are my focus projects. So happy you are doing Vlogmas🎄
I love your festive sweater! I definitely need to knit myself one for next Christmas (I’m quite pregnant this Christmas, so no pullovers for me this year!). It looks to me like it’ll fit and I hope it does. Andrea Mowry always recommends going up a (US) needle size when knitting sleeves in the round, especially when you’re doing colourwork, and that seems like the best solution to me-you wouldn’t want to knit colourwork flat and seam. I’m looking forward to doing volgmas with you for the first time this year. It seems like a lot of work, but I’m excited to see all of my favourite podcasters so regularly during my favourite season!
Summer here but started a Linnen stitch pastel rainbow blanket for my granddaughter I make toys to sell so on we go a few extras for Christmas gifts. Thank you for chat. Love your blog's. Some sunny wishes from South Africa 🥰
Nice episode Jana! We too are waiting for december to put up the Christmas tree and decorations. In Belgium we have ' Sinterklaas feest' first on 6 december. It's Santa who comes and throws gifts through the chimney of the kids that have been good last year. 🙂 And then we are focussing on Christmas and the return of the light = lengthening of the days . Such a nice period! I'm sending you positive vibes!
Oh Jana what an extra treat, your pre Christmas video! That Christmas sweater is stunning. I’m working on socks for Christmas gift, and a crochet shawl for my mother. I’m panicking a bit on how fast time is going but just trying to enjoy it. Much love xxx
Thank you for a nice visit this morning! I'm making Casapinka's Rear View Window sweater with merino fingering held with mohair. The mohair also has silk and little beads attached. Everything is red, and I hope to have it done by Dec 10th for a party and hope that it fits. If not, I'll reknit on larger needles for the 25th. All decorating is being done by my husband, because I'm having health issues too boring to think about. I'm looking forward to more Vlogmas 22!
I wish you and your familie an wonderfull adventstid.I m an knitter and chrocher to i work now on an christmasblanked in mosaik chrochet technik and I love it . We decorate i desember for Christmas and not earlier😆. In norway vi selebrate christmas a lot with a lot of Food ,sweets and many more 😂 enjoy you day greetings from norway Renate
I’m excited to watch vlogmas! Holidays can be sad for many, so thank you for spreading the holiday knitting joy. I am doing the gnome 24 day knit along again this year. It’s fun and not too much knitting demand each day. Happy Holidays!
I always worry about everyone, who's feeling sad around the holidays. It's difficult time for many and we need to be more attentive and caring during this season. We have a couple of people in town that always post open invitations to their Christmas dinner, so anyone who's feeling alone can freely join. I hope to be able to do the same thing one day, when the kids are a bit bigger.
I'm making matching Rudolph and Santa stocking hats for my neighbor and her 1 year old grandson. I might start the Martin Storey tiger intarsia sweater for my 4 year old cousin after that.
I discovered your channel this past summer and I mostly crochet but I love your energy and creativity so I am looking forward to following you for vlogmas. I mostly crochet and am beginning knitter so I get a lot of inspiration from you. I love that sweater you are wearing and can see a crochet version. That sweater is beautiful.
I am going to take a winterknitting with me on my trip to Australia, going on a Family visit with my sister to our cousin, for three weeks. Hope to watch the vlogs till christmas there to.
Hi Jana, I am so looking forward to your vlogmas! I love both of your sweaters! You are an amazing knitter!! I am trying to knit a hat for my husband also.
Thanks for the pre Vlogmas episode. I really like your Christmas sweater that you’re making .👍🧶 I’m going to make the Wolop cowl with my yarn advent this year.🎄
I always have a smile on my face your entire episodes. You are so sweet and sincere. I just finished my 2nd jellyroll and want to knit more. It totally captivated me with color changes. I used color changing yarn so no ends to weave. I'm working on Christopher Bunny by Susan B. Anderson for gifts. And hats! 'Tis the season. Sending big love and light to you. 🥰
I have the same advent stripe sock kit as you do, I may make it into a hat…I know, cheater. Then I have a shawl advent with 5 large skeins and I have an advent from Les Garçon that does not start until 12/16. I finished all my gift knitting so whooohooooo. Looks forward to your Vlogmas.
Lovely to see you, Jana! I feel so stupid… I had one of the countdown candles as a child (mybirthday is Dec 1st so Advent was always exciting for me!) and spent years looking for another one. Eventually, I found one and it was really expensive but I really wanted it - and I could so easily have made one!!! Thanks for that idea and I just have time to make one 🤣🫣🤗
I was doing well on my gift knitting (ahead of schedule) so I cast on an unplanned sweater for my mum and that's my current December knitting. I'm also making a pair of lambing mitts for myself, but not rushing
🎄 Hello from Denmark. I just discovered your channel. I'll follow you. You are very talented. The sweater is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing and inspiration. Happy Christmas ⛄❤️🙂
Can.t wait to see your vlogmas every day! ❤️🎅 i am doing vlogmas too, but it is in dutch... for me is the first time, so i am verry exited, also for the firts time i have a advent calander, and a swap calender... Just 1 night ❤️😘☕️🧶🧶🧶
Vlogmas 2022 means that I've been here about a year. I'm confused...is this going to be my second or third Vlogmas? You did not yet have your car when I joined. You bought the car during the Vlogmas and before that you were trudging through the snow and rushing to the post office and it was quite a time. It is a wonderful thing when you can can quickly whip a craft to satisfy a need for family. It's a pleasure to know that your item will be well-loved. Thanks for sharing this pre-Vlogmas treat. ❤ EDIT: I had to go and check and this is my second Vlogmas here - Happy Vlogmas-aversary! 😉
Hi Jana, I admire your positive spirit so much! You asked what we’re working on….I’m knitting a sweater with Finnish Tukuwool, and I’m going to start an Advent KAL with Finnish designer Talvi Knits, all while listening to Finnish Knitting Stories! Looking forward to your Vlog.
This is going to my first year with a yarn advent (always had a chocolate advent growing up) and I am planning to knit the find your fade by andrea mowry. I seem to be reaching for shawls all the time these days so figured another in my collection was needed! Take care and stay cozy!
Will be looking forward to Vlogmas with you Janna. I am still working on my West Knits MKAL😂. Hope to knit a scarf for hubby, socks for relies and another shawl for sister…..better get cracking eh? Take care of yourself and best wishes to you❤
I’m doing the Advent socks too. But ended up doing the “Talvi” Advent MKal too . I have the ribbing ready for a hat and she will give a colorwork chart every day.
I love your sweater!! And I'm terribly jealous of your earrings! I think your colorwork sweater is absolutely gorgeous! I hope you get to wear it and enjoy it for years!
Thanks for a lovely "chat" ;) I do have several things to knit before christmas. It`s like I work best under timepressure!! Soon to be done, just some dolls clothing to quickly make up. I would like to get going om ny Christmas/winter kofte. Bought the yarn this summer (Jamiesons and Smith in a gourgeus deep forest green) and did cast on and realized that it would be too big for me... ripped it off and casted on again...but just the cast on. Must decide on the number of stiches. You are so quick wiht those blankets! good for you. I have enough yarn for several blankets so I guess I just have to DO IT.. Cant wait till tomorrow and the first X-mas vlog. have a nice day.
Lovely vlog Jana. I so enjoyed your Vlogmas last year so can’t wait for this year’s too. What a year we’ve all had. I’ve had loads to deal with too but you always cheer me up and the vlogs keep me going and have entertained me so much especially when I’ve been ill. Thankyou. Happy advent, happy Vlogmas 😀 ☃❄🧶🎄🇬🇧 xx
What a nice episode! A perfect mix of knitting and holiday anticipation. The sweaters are beautiful. I’m hoping your Christmas sweater fits.🙏🏻 Your husband’s elf comment made me laugh and the winter scenes at the end were lovey and peaceful.💕
Hello from Australia.. I'm new to your podcast & I've watched the last one previous to this. I really enjoy your chat & looking forward to the vlogmas. It is already heating up on this side of the world.. we had 37degC yesterday. On the 1st of December, my friend in France and I are starting our own little KAL. We are knitting Fields of Gold Sweater by Isabella Clark of Hundred Acre Wool.. and we are knitting it in Nutiden yarn. I don't know how far I'll get at the beginning as our temps get to over 40degC 🤣
Hello, hello. I may actually have a new sweater ready for Christmas. I am working on the Sharp Chevron Knit Pullover by Patons. It is an older pattern, but is perfect to include 2 skeins Malabrigo yarn I recieved as a gift, in the color work section. I look forward to seeing what you are up to during Vlogmas.
Im knitting a headband as I just frogged my vest I was knitting and I am reusing the yarn. And as I am pregnant I am planning my baby knits. Baby will come in the end of May, so not really knit weather here in Sweden. So I am planning to knit a baby blanket in cotton and then knit clothes for 6-9 months babies.
Wonderful surprise on this day of falling temps and whipping winds in IL. I love your colorwork sweater!! Would it fit your mom if not you?? currently working on stirrup leg warmers, sadly out of acrylic as wool is too expensive and alpaca would droop to cankle warmers. I hope your wood stove is working great for you.Thank you for being you.
What a beautiful colorsweater! I love it, Just like the christmassweater. Don't hesitate and make the colorwork on the sleeves, you can do it. I made myself christmassocks selfstriping yarn, and gonna make some decorations like little trees and so on. Loved this little episode💕
Love to hear all your plans. I can't wait for vlogmas to get a daily ( or whenever) dose of your fun. And yes the world has so much darkness every where. So finding cheer is important. I have an Advent with 25 20g minis and a full skein in sparkle 4ply and no plans. However I did find the Cozy Up Kniters Advent blanket that I am going to work on from mini sets I have bee collecting. I need to make it bigger than just 24 minis.
I have been doing gift knitting this past month, hopefully done soon. I had hoped to have knit my own Festive Pullover, but I've been nervous to start for some reason 😬....I have Holst Garn Supersoft for it and I don't know whether to hold it single or double...I guess a swatch is in order, but it won't be for this Christmas. I also have red and white, but planned on red being the background...but I think I like yours with the white background better 😀. I will also be knitting the Cozy Knitter Advent socks, plus I joined in on Sari Nordlund's Sock MKAL which started this past Monday
Love your sweater, those colours are so pretty! Can't wait to see how that blanket comes together.. I'm digging through the fingering weight patterns for summer here in New Zealand. Hoping to do some more dye experiments too. :)
Hi Jana😃👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👋🏽 so you’ve got me thinking…🤔 I’m going to look around and see if there’s any project I can work on each day of December to make believe I’m doing an advent knit!!! 😃😃😂😃👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥰🧶🧶🧶😊
I’m so excited about this vlogmas series! I’m crocheting a c2c blanket and your jelly roll blanket looks so tempting 😂 also making a sweater (Minna no Sweater) and finishing my Twists and Turns (almost done with the last cable section on clue 2). My cousin’s requested for a plain Coloring Book Raglan. Overall, it’s gonna be a busy winter knitting season for me. Hope yours goes well too ❤
.looking forward to your Christmas vlogs. I'm knitting the Into thr Wild sweater I spoke to you about on instagram. I'm new to colour work and am not pleased with my fox section but I have to decide yes or no to keep going....greetings from Australa
I'm curious what's so scary about colourwork sleeves? 🤔🙂 I hadn't really thought about them being much different to the body..just smaller. Or colourwork socks.. I have a fear of undoing bind offs, so we all have something haha I'm actually knitting my festive yoke pullover as I watch you ☺️ I'm looking forward to your vlogmas 🎄☺️
I have big hands and knitting colourwork on a sock or sleeve feels very fiddly. That's why I usually try to avoid it. 😂 Undoing bind-offs is my thing! I can do it two-three times, if I'm not happy. I recently found three sweaters that in my opinion need a better bind-off (one too loose, two too tight). I say your Festive Yoke. It looks lovely in green!
@@FinnishKnittingStories thank goodness for my small hands then 😅 I love a good pair of colour work socks 🧦 Haha I must learn this undoing a bind off trick, I have many to fix 🤭 Oh thank you 😊 I do love this sweater 🥰
I know the feeling of a knit not fitting. I knit a shirt in 16 days for the month of November and at the end of it I had lost so much weight it was too big on me. I’m trying to add elastic to the neck to keep it on cause it keeps sliding down my shoulders. 😂
I think that's a positive problem. Oversized garments are in fashion right now. I think it's much worse when it's the other way round. I still haven't tried my sweater on. Too scared. LOL
@@FinnishKnittingStories go for it. A few things can happen. 1) it fits !! Surpirse!! 2) a little tight and needs blocking. 3) it becomes a motivation to lose 5-10lbs. All of those are positive. Don’t fear your knitting. I had to weave yarn into my collar/neckline to keep it from stretching like it was supposed too so I could wear it. Now it has become and oversized tunic dress thing.
I feel like it's so crazy how the kids grow! It seems like the grow a little bit and everything is fine and the next day absolutely none of their clothes fit them!
You have no idea what a refreshing and calming experience it is to watch your videos. There is so much in the world to stress me out these days and you are an oasis to me. Thank you!
The sweater is gorgeous the colours are great 👍
A husband who cakes up yarn is a magical thing!
It's such a good decision to make! I needed to hear it this evening, thank you Jana. You're such a ray of sunshine!
Can't wait to watch your vlogmas. This will be actually my first time watching a vlogmas on time and not many months after.
Your sweaters are very lovely!
I love the saying of you husband! It's perfect for those that set up too early!! Made me laugh!! The Christmas sweater is beautiful!!
Yeah, I'm only allowed to start in December. 😂 I think it's a good thing. That way I get to enjoy all my lovely autumn decorations longer.
I would give you what ever you want for the Sweater !! Love it. Hello from switzerland 🇨🇭🇨🇭
Xx
Thank you for a nice advent-episode! I'm knitting on a Bjørnli-beanie. Have a nice 1.advent-week! 🧶😊🎄
Your sweater is absolutely gorgeous. I hope it fits. I’m so glad you are doing the vlogmas I look forward to hearing your giggle. We are all having difficulties in life. We must remain positive. You always make me feel happy when I watch you.

Hooray! I was so happy to see your pre-vlogmas episode, Jana! I allowed myself a half hour to knit on a very busy day so I could watch it. Thank you!
I'm glad you allowed yourself that precious knitting time! I always like to think that it's a part of self-care for us knitters.
I plan to knit some socks for my oldest daughter for Christmas. My son's and youngest daughter's presents have been knit earlier. Then I will start something for myself.
I'm so excited you are doing Vlogmas again.

I love the idea of the jelly roll blanket.
Today I cast on the Nightshift Shawl by Andrea Mowry and I will probably knit on that through December.

I love both of your sweaters! You are an amazing knitter!!
I am trying to knit a hat for my husband also.
Love your both sweaters and your earrings X
Hooray, Vlogmas!!!
Thanks for the pre Vlogmas episode. I really like your Christmas sweater that you’re making .👍🧶 I’m going to make the Wolop cowl with my yarn advent this year.🎄
The sleeves are easy to Knit. So you don’t have to be worried. I’m almost done. I have 1 sleeve remaining of The festive yoke pullover.
You made me a little more exited and made My Christmas mood lighter. Thank you🥰

I am looking forward to vlogmas, you could just make the sleeves with stripes that would look like candy stick 😉
Oh, that Christmas sweater is amazing! You have put in so much work! I cross my fingers it fits. Perhaps you can stretch it out a bit while blocking.
I was doing well on my gift knitting (ahead of schedule) so I cast on an unplanned sweater for my mum and that's my current December knitting. I'm also making a pair of lambing mitts for myself, but not rushing
I'm so excited for vlogmas! Thank you for putting in all the work and time involved!
🎄 Hello from Denmark. I just discovered your channel. I'll follow you. You are very talented. The sweater is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing and inspiration. Happy Christmas ⛄❤️🙂
Looking forward to vlogmas. I'm knitting Luminen by Sari Nordland. 🎁
I got behind on my watching. No advent project but I’m working on more socks and I knitting my first cowl
I love your festive yoke sweater! We can be sweater sisters: my main colour is red and the contrast is white. You can finish it easily by Christmas!!!
Jana, your pullover is beautiful and cheery! I'm looking forward to your vlogmas episodes as your chats are always enjoyed! ❤

Thank you! I hope the next year will be easier for all of us. It doesn't look that way, but we can still hope, right?
A wonderful prevlogmas video. I'm knitting a 121 row 3 stitch icord for the beginning of my advent knitting, Brioche Adventure by Jonatan Tallow.
What a nice episode! A perfect mix of knitting and holiday anticipation.
The sweaters are beautiful. I’m hoping your Christmas sweater fits.🙏🏻
Your husband’s elf comment made me laugh and the winter scenes at the end were lovey and peaceful.💕
I'm looking forward to your lovely vlogmas!
Loved your vlogmas last year 🎉. That year went so quick 😮
So excited for Vlogmas!! I'll also be knitting a pair of striped socks from the The Cozy Knitter, as well as a Gnome (Imagined Landscapes MKAL).
Yaaay to more gnomes!
Just do fleas on your sleeves or another easy nordic pattern
I made an advent and I plan to make a Litmus cowl. I am looking forward to your vlogmas
It could be anything! You can even use your favourite pattern and divide it in sections for each day.
@@FinnishKnittingStories you’re the best!!!! 😃👏🏼🥰🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶
I love that sweater! Are your foxes too loose or too tight? Are you following the colour dominance? Let me know how it's going.
Was that a Karjalanpiirakka progress keeper????? 😍
Also stressing, have no advent plans 😢
It's gonna be just fine. It will come to you. You could always work on something else meanwhile.
I'm curious what's so scary about colourwork sleeves? 🤔🙂 I hadn't really thought about them being much different to the body..just smaller. Or colourwork socks.. I have a fear of undoing bind offs, so we all have something haha
I'm actually knitting my festive yoke pullover as I watch you ☺️
I'm looking forward to your vlogmas 🎄☺️
I have big hands and knitting colourwork on a sock or sleeve feels very fiddly. That's why I usually try to avoid it. 😂
Undoing bind-offs is my thing! I can do it two-three times, if I'm not happy. I recently found three sweaters that in my opinion need a better bind-off (one too loose, two too tight).
I say your Festive Yoke. It looks lovely in green!
@@FinnishKnittingStories thank goodness for my small hands then 😅 I love a good pair of colour work socks 🧦
Haha I must learn this undoing a bind off trick, I have many to fix 🤭
Oh thank you 😊 I do love this sweater 🥰
Exactly! It's especially bad with pants over here. I just bought a whole bunch in autumn and they are again too short.
What type of pen are you using to write on the candle?
