You needed to show the hill climbs for people to appreciate what these athletes just completed! I was there and the hills were the toughest obstacle! Spartan has the best male/female athletes of any sport!
Great coverage. Love the extra footage and super long video. Thanks Spartan Race! I really appreciate the effort of the camera guys and the editors and all the volunteers.
Coverage for most every trail race ever has been spotty af lately except when Spartan comes through again with some serious consistency----more mad props to the cameramen running right alongside all the top athletes.
That darn hill! At least it wasn't from the road like it was in 2019. Great job guys. Always look forward to watching the race summaries for the Elites.
Wow, those hoist bags must have been really, really wet, and at least 50 lbs heavier. I've never seen elites struggle with those, or do burpees there either. 😮
I was able to lift them all 3 races, but I definitely had to put the work in. Tried 3 bags before I got one to move on the Beast...found the same bag for the Super and Sprint. Flashbacks from same problem in Hawaii.
I really enjoy these videos (though not as much as the more thorough coverage of the 2019 series); however, each race is missing video for some of the key obstacles for learning the techniques of the Elite athletes. In this case, it was the newer and more difficult Stairway to Sparta, which I hadn't attempted before doing this race. One of the previous race videos (Asheville) was missing the Olympus with the slick surface, which is also something that is newer. Getting to see these impressive athletes on all the obstacles is hugely beneficial to racers like me, who are trying to glean some pointers from their performances. As impressive as the coverage is, it'd be even better if it included every obstacle.
I thought the rule for Hercules Hoist, one foot had to remain on ground, only use 1 foot on the railing. That has been said many times in the past races I watched.
@@mgbatres My Bad, I was watching another race this year, and the commentator said only 1 foot allowed on railing. So I down loaded the new rules and raed through and found where one or two feet can be placed on rail. Central Florida in Lake Placid will be my first race, and I only want to make sure I follow the rules, no disrespect toward anyone. Thank you
Those sandbags were not the same weight. The 1st place dude's bag looked so small compared to some of the other ones (compare it to Logan Broadbents). It looked like it was half full! Same thing happening with the logs. Guy who passed Batres for 1st had a tiny log compared to the other ones! Seems like quite a bit of luck involved in quickly seeing and taking the lighter carries.
@@paulleatham6830 no doubt Broadbent is much smaller, but I considered that too. Check again yourself and you can see the difference. If they are actually weighing each object I take it back but it definitely doesn't seem like it. Just look at how the competitors choose around at the Hercules hoist.
@@BennduR it just depends on ur training too as logan is still a fresh face upcoming in ocr while atkins has been dominating for years now so difference or not he is going to kill it lol
Spartan made up for it by having different structure orientation separating the two sections (thin structure bars were going vertical instead of horizontal like usual) and the second section seemed to have all the handles up to start when someone finishes, thus a longer reach at the transition point.
It's coming tomorrow according to the video description. Hopefully quality will be great, cause they've clearly dropped speed for it. Can't stay unspoiler'ed for that long, but in a year or two it'll be a good watch to return to :)
@@Nathar45 I know the results, I just like watching and seeing technique. It is a sign of how little Spartan cares about the female competitors and fans, as they had 24 hour turnaround on the guys and we are at 48 for the women
@@flphoenix I have no points of disagreement. I look forward to watching it as well (it motivates me to run better and run more), and wish we had good, actual live coverage.
@@davidmagida5663 It is just a bad look. You got the men out in 24 hours and are dragging your feet on the women. I have worked in production so I do not understand why such a delay on the women.
Ryan Atkins is built for this course!
My son in law just did this race. Now I see the unbelievable strength & endurance it took. So proud !
Awesome coverage again. Magida/Hammond also had great commentary as usual. It would be nice to see some time stamps periodically.
Thanks Steve Hammond

Atkins is unreal, a beast!!! He keeps on winning!!!
This is by far the best venue spartan has, they really need to bring an ultra here.
By far the best venue. It was my first time and it’s my every year now.

Watching from Ireland great to see Spartan races again !!
Awesome Coverage! Great Race! Great Commentary!! This is what professional sports coverage is like! :)
Soooooo ... where's the Women's coverage??
The videos this year are so much better! Awesome job with this one
Great 👍 production and play by play. It was very enjoyable and really showed race course and obstacles. Badass view of drones filming
I love the first person camera coverage.
Way to work up a good sweat with all the elites TrailMaster. 💪😁Great coverage of a course I've yet to visit.
Coverage is getting better and better. Nice job guys!

Incredible coverage!! 💪🏻😃💪🏻
Ryan Atkins is simply a beast
Great coverage. Will you be posting the women?
Still waiting foe the women’s coverage. How about posting the women first next race? Please. They are legit!
39:00 some of the best drone footage iv'e ever seen from Spartan.
Atkins grabs the fourth rung on his jump up on Bender. No one else did that.
Wonderful coverage of the men's race. When does the women's race come out?
Wow, those hoist bags must have been really, really wet, and at least 50 lbs heavier. I've never seen elites struggle with those, or do burpees there either. 😮
They were abnormally heavy even in the late afternoon
I was able to lift them all 3 races, but I definitely had to put the work in. Tried 3 bags before I got one to move on the Beast...found the same bag for the Super and Sprint. Flashbacks from same problem in Hawaii.
It was no joke. In the age group it took everything for me to get it after that swim.

I love this channel

Key word is past. Current rules are very different. Best to read up before you get your next race on
Totally agree. No other athlete used both feet on the top bar. Lemme read the rules again but that change wasn’t advertised

When are you going to post the women's race!
Some of the guys appeared to struggle - were the hurc hoist bags extra heavy this race?
Awesome
Is there going to be any live coverage of the killington ultra elite?
No coverage for the women?
It's coming on Wednesday
Was that Hosek giving off his mating calls??
Dale campeones
Insano, parabéns
Cool
How are there not ore views
Uhh Logan used the ladies elevated box for Beater. Is that legal?
And so did Ryan on twister
Yes. The only "block" restricted is on the walls. Anyone can use the higher steps on Beater, Twister, Monkey Bars, Rig, etc.
Why is twister only two sections? Never seen it shorter than three in the UK even on a sprint.
