Brilliant video! I remember going to this event and was amazed by the brilliant driving, especially seeing Ari Vatanen and David Richards pitted against local talents like Greg Carr, Colin Bond, Peter Brock and the other drivers, and their co-drivers. It was breathtaking!
I also remember recording this program from ABC TV on my (then new) VHS machine - I just about wore both out watching it again and again. 40 years later, it's still one of my all-time favourite rally videos! Thanks to MotorsportmemoriesAustralia for sharing it!

wish there was footage of the privateers my father was in this rally i would have been a 7 year old kid watching on the side of the road . Brings back great memories
