So, so many of my favorite stories (including the LBD) have the end of Anastasia moment: "A perfect ending." "No. A perfect beginning." There's a warmth and a fondness to thinking of them living their lives, together and happy. And indeed, that probably serves as excellent fodder for fanfic writers.

Just a quick note to say Thanks-For-Creating-These, and for also taking the time to make public editions of them. It was clearly a lot of work, and you did a great job at it! Thanks also to anyone else who was unseen but helped bring these vids into reality.

Thank you so much for your transparency. Working in theater, an adjacent industry, it frustrates me when people make it seem like the industry standard is being able to pay my bills without hustling and working like 3 jobs.

I’m glad you talked about your pay. I think our society is too shy about it. I am a “salary” person now, but in my young adult life I was a musician and people were shocked when I would tell them how little I made.

I want to add my thanks for your transparency too. I think the (largely generational) shift towards pay transparency is a very good thing. My very first job I got in trouble for discussing my pay with a coworker and encouraging them to talk to our boss about getting theirs raised because I was making more money than them when we'd worked about the same amount of time, and now everyone in my office knows how much everybody else makes, or can look that information up, because it's all posted. It's a wild difference.
Still, very glad that you (and everyone else) made LBD, and that you made this Look Back series, and that we all got so much love and joy out of it. (And yes, there is fanfic of that.)

LBD did such a brilliant job all around. Rewatching these like this just opens up my brain to further possibilities with these characters after everything. Like I know we get a little check in with the Gardner videos but I wanted to know the logistics of everyone's lives after the fact and seeing their lives continue forward through other trials and happinesses. I honestly could just watch all these characters in domestic bliss for all eternity...but also because we got the Lydia book, so much potential to keep them story going on. Guess i'm off to find the fanfiction haha

Aw I found myself tearing up slightly imagining you crying at the end of filming. I can't even imagine how overwhelming that must have been - talk about post-show blues!

Thank you so much for making this series Ashley. I’ve had a wild time the last couple of months (lost my job to budget cuts in January, started a new one this week which is very cool but just it’s been A Lot) and this series has done so much to keep me grounded in routine and tbh kind of in my identity while big things change around me. It’s been fascinating, warm and funny - you and all your guests have done a great job. I’m also really glad you took your moment to talk about pay, that seemed like quite a satisfying resolution to finally get it out. I hope you’ve enjoyed making the series as a whole and that you have fun doing whatever you have planned next ❤

I didn't expect it to give me so much nostalgia when I saw this lookback, I just imagined you hugging the dvg crying and knowing that this trip ends here, what beautiful memories, thank you Ashley for continuing to open up more secrets of this beautiful work. ❤🎉

So, I think I’m the verrrry beginning of watching the videos (I think I came in around episode 5 or 6?) I thought it was a group of friends putting on an adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. I didn’t realize it was a professional series until I saw the Hank Green video about it.
Thanks for these videos Ashley! LBD came out the year I moved out of state for college. I have really fond memories of waiting for new episodes to drop after classes and watching them 2 or 3 times while waiting for the next batch. It’s been such a great look back!

This was a great episode. It was fun to hear your commentary on the scene, I always thought your chemistry with DVG in this episode was especially great, and delightful to watch after all the missteps, anger, angst and previous failures. It was also really interesting, and a little sad, to hear how conflicted you were having to "sell" web series as a viable new medium, while knowing you were not being paid a salary you could live on; to say nothing of what your talents and efforts (and "tie work!") deserved. It remined me of another series of web shows put out WIGS around this time. I always liked them, but I suspected that they ended because they weren't commercially viable. This re-watch really has been a fascinating (I had to throw that in as it is so close to Leonard Nimoy's birthday) experience. Thank you so much.
