    I do similar work and enjoy watching others do it ( sad but true ) good job you found the machine as always good to double check .. I left a pair of tripod ladders not so long ago after loading some top soil ….I still haven’t got over it 😠…..as you say it’s good to have decent reliable kit as remember using some right rubbish 30 plus years ago 😀… well done 👍

      Cheers, I don't think the sad at all so thanks for watching 👍 leaving tripods must have been gutting and yes years ago some kit was a waste of time, don't buy cheap now for that reason but apparently it's not all bad

    Done a few trips out like that before but only do now if it's a regular job or a vested interest. Like you said you did it for a friend. Good work 👍

    • @LewisgardenservicesLtd
      @LewisgardenservicesLtd  2 роки тому

      Cheers buddy, yea the chipper works for me, blades are due for a sharpen on mine as not pulling in like they can do. Blades on a drum not flywheel like the old small chippers so wide cutting area and drags stuff in. These are close to 5k now I think with the 18hp engine but definitely other options similar are available

    • @LewisgardenservicesLtd
      @LewisgardenservicesLtd  2 роки тому +1

      Cheers and thanks for watching 👍 we normally do a job price but sometimes that works out and sometimes doesn't 😬 this however we worked out a day rate for the 3 of us, was for a friend so he was happy for us to take up to a week but even happier with the 3 days👍 worked out less than local private work but no hassles

    Hi love the videos would the chipper be fine with all the smaller green material off the shrubs a realise you prob use the etesia as that's super quick to sort it but would the chipper be fine with it cheers Vinny

    • @LewisgardenservicesLtd

      It'll take anything that has a stem for the drum to pull through and I bought it for just that reason initially as local to site had closed so was trying to reduce as much waste as possible. Now I just use on the bigger straight stuff where chip is quicker than drag, it doesn't like a load of leaves thrown in, a laurel hedge trim for example and anything with unions or matted together with get stuck in hopper. great machines for the right job and very manoeuvrable. Loads of choice on the market now too👍 good luck deciding

      @@LewisgardenservicesLtd thanks so much for getting back to me on this really appreciate it and really impressed with it set up and work ethic av fell behind on upgrading tools over years so this bin big help see this machine in and out the van as a don't want the expense of a tow bar or trailer at the min brilliant thanks

    Hi mate , I have just bought the same chipper as yours for rear access to gardens etc . It’s got a 18 hp and key start . Have to winch it in to the back of my vivaro van , it only just clears the roof ! . How do you load yours into the van ? Like all your work mate . Andrew

    • @LewisgardenservicesLtd
      @LewisgardenservicesLtd  2 роки тому +1

      Cheers mate, great for access. Take some time to get the balance of it, there is a sweet spot pushing from the feed end where it moves easily. When I first bought was a pig to winch in van, now
      I take maybe a foot run up to the ramps which puts me half way up then give final push and it's in. New van is slightly lower tho which helps. I have to fold the shoot flap right down and it fits by an inch. Happy to do a video on it, may only be of use to you tho 🤔👍

    • @andrewchapman1511
      @andrewchapman1511 2 роки тому

      We have put a set of wheels on the front and the winch is bolted on to a scaffold deal which sits behind wheel arches it works perfect . Only have to take the little top chute off . I thought it would be too heavy to push up on my own if working solo . I have a small trailer with ramp so I might try pushing it up that . Been doing this for 30 years now ! Still enjoying it 👍getting a few battery tools now which are very good 👍have a good day , I’m leaf clearing all day on a site today 🍃

    come over hear taking our jobs. Nice three days work They should be happy with the pathways cleared for the cherry picker. Hedges took a brutal cutting back but they still look tidy and as for the shredder it does the job.

      @@LewisgardenservicesLtd these are the types of sites I do they are pretty manageable once you get on top of them. Also two years ago my company paid £410 for me to get a picker licence to repair the cladding on the warehouse roof. I passed only to then be told I couldn't do the work because I'm not insured passed 8ft off the ground 🤣

      We normally bag the hedge cuttings up but they were happy to have mulched up there and back in around hedges. Would need a shredder really for that type of waste, as the that brushcutter...the swing tip blades don't mind what they go over so make light work of mulching brash. Thanks for taking the time to watch 👍
