This is a very capable color laser printer with excellent print quality. But it's hobbled by a very limited paper capacity and a lack of a manual feeder for printing envelopes, small cards, etc. The paper capacity is the biggest head scratcher as there is clearly room for a larger paper tray that would double its capacity. Expect to get maybe 150 sheets of thin paper loaded in at a time, far less with thicker higher quality paper.
Print quality is excellent with sharp text and very crisp graphics. I always recommend color laser printers over ink jets for business users as laser is far better for printing proposals, charts, and other business graphics. I've also found laser printers, especially those made by HP, to be much more reliable than ink jet printers. Consumable costs are high, about $300 to replace all four cartridges. Expect to get about 1500-1800 prints per cartridge but your mileage will vary greatly based on what you're printing and how much toner coverage your documents require per page.
The printer will not duplex documents automatically. You'll need to flip the paper over in order to get two sided prints.
I do like the scan options available. It was very easy to scan directly to my WD My Cloud NAS device as well as set up the printer's built in SMTP client for sending scans via email. It also supports SSL for outgoing email so it should work fine with Gmail and other email providers. The scanner isn't very fast but it's adequate for small sets of documents. It certainly won't rival high speed scanners that HP, Fujitsu and Epson make for small offices. It also doesn't duplex automatically - documents have to be fed through the scanner twice if they are two sided.
It has a very nice interface on the included touch screen. The web based control panel is very feature-rich with plenty of analytics and configuration menus. The HP "apps" are interesting but are really just means of downloading and printing documents from websites.
The printer is fully compatible with Android and iOS devices, so it's easy to print from a mobile device. It also comes with built in Ethernet, Wifi, and a USB port for a direct PC connection.
HP knows how to make good printers and this one certainly lives up to the brand. But I am disappointed with the limited paper capacity and the omission of a manual feeder.

Disclosure: I received this product through the Amazon Vine program to review on Amazon's site.
I've had this model for 9 years now and it's still working great.
Hmm, 9yrs ago. Not bad. I'm betting this guy got even better since then if he still does these videos.
Came here cuz I saw one of these on fb for $75. They still sell on ebay $200+
Mine lasted 10 years but now it jams every other page and also the usb port works sometimes when it wants.
I'm guessing there's no option to get rid of white border when printing, I've looked through the options it has on printer
thanks for the clear and comprehensive review
I desperately need help with my HP LaserJet Pro 200. I can't get it to connect to a wired network, a wireless network, or even a portable hotspot. I can connect it via USB and print but I need the entire office to have the ability to print on it. I assume that I need to update the firmware to get network access working again. It was working just fine two weeks ago. Any suggestions?
Good review, covers most of the feathers,
Sysadmin here: Printers are Devil's tools. They never work flawless, they never have enough paper, they never have enough toner and the drum always needs to be replaced. When you think all is good, they need a new maintenance kit. Not to mention than, after they're out of warranty, they always break. Better buy another NUC or BRIX :)
I have a Samsung ML-6060 monochrome laser printer that has been working like new for now 11 years. When I replace the toner cartridge, I buy third-party brands off of Amazon.com to save money. Unlike with inkjet printers, I notice no difficulties with the non-name brands of consumables.

I am glad that you had a positive experience with Lexmark printers. However, I have found Lexmark printers to be the absolute worst brand of printers I have encountered in my work as a tech consultant.
The hardware seems just as good as other brands of printers, but I have found the software unreliable and resource-intensive. Maybe the newer Lexmark printers are better, but I have found that Lexmark printer software tends to slow down the boot up of a Windows machine considerably. In addition, I have experienced problems in setting up non-networked Lexmark's using one PC as a print server and another as a client. Of course, most printers today have network capabilities built in so this is no longer a problem.
When a client asks me for a printer recommendation, the first thing I usually say is, "Anything but Lexmark."
As I said, maybe the newer Lexmark printer software has improved. However, I do not encounter too many Lexmark printers anymore; BTW, some Dell-branded printers are actually rebadged Lexmark's. Most of the printers I see "in the wild" are HP, Canon, Epson, and the occasional Brother.
Like always an amazing review.
CAN someone tell me why the HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP m276nw will only print one envelope at a time, then goes thru a process of "Cleaning", and after pressing the button to continue, it will print a blank envelope , and then will start the cleaning process again, . . . .it will not print continuously even though my envelope merge is perfect. . . . .Thanks for any help. Rin
How to fasten photocopy??
what is the solution my printer don't print PDF ,but print word documents
포토용으로도 쓸만 한가요..?
Have had this all in one for over a year. It's a huge disappointment. Constantly drops from the wifi making wifi printing impossible. Have to hard-wire into the printer to get consistent printing. Decent fax machine. Would I get this again? No. It's been a constant source of frustration in the household. Scanner is decent enough, but again, wifi problems make it impossible to scan and save to another computer in the house. It has to be saved to a thumb drive after the scan. It also fails to do duplex/booklet printing from either a mac or a PC. I've never wanted to throw anything off the side of a hill before, but this all-in-one certainly makes me want to.
Gossiping AlterEgo Me too! Have you had any luck finding a wireless solution? So far (early in my hunt) I am only finding threads corresponding to initial setup troubleshooting, as opposed to this recurrent trouble.
boa tarde, pode me indicar alguma empresa em brasilia para fazer a manutenção desta maquina.???
