I hope you are doing well. I don't know you age, and background, but I understand your struggle. I just turned 38 and I fondly remember the days up until my 20's when I would go back home from school/work and take a nap. i was thought to have a mid-day nap since I was a child. Now, my insomnia plus my work obligations as a psychologist turned me into a workaholic, using my inability to get some sleep to work what I suppose to work during the day and then continue to write reports, drafts, projects, program activities sometimes even starting at 70:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. without even blinking. Then I would sometimes sleep between 04:00 a.m. to 06:00 a.m. and wake up, have a coffee and go to work for the next 8 hours. My sleep medication doesn't even help anymore. But looking back I know when I could have used the time to try and fix my sleeping cycle. It's not over yet, I know that this year will be almost the same given my responsibilities, but I do hope, if everything goes well, to try next year some things that I think can work for me, but are impossible to start doing them now. I long for that good night sleep for almost a decade now. Again, hope you are doing fine as I can only assume that you, just as I, are no where near the condition that Michael had, given his access to the substances leading to his demise.

I'm so sorry to you OP and the others in the comments. I also suffer from extreme insomnia and mine didn't start until my 30's. It is not an odd occurrence for me to go two or three days with no sleep in a week. If you haven't been through it, you can't comprehend how life altering it can be. Your body still gets exhausted even if sleep never comes and that's one of the most miserable feelings in the world. Just a few weeks ago, I learned that your body can fall asleep while you're standing up. It was such a crazy thing to jolt awake thinking I was having a falling dream only to realize I was mid-fall. Hope you are all doing better and that one day a cure is found❤️

@@Mataylor17 I'm afraid I am just going to have to agree to disagree with you on the subject of addicts can't be helped unless they want the help. I have lived it, with a parent, myself, and children. Yes there are consequences you have to pay if the only help you have to accept usually comes with getting a DWI for alcohol or unprescribed meds, or prescribed meds. Either way it is court appointed rehab, AA meetings, or if you have the money private rehab. If rehab is forced on you, it doesn't work. Addicts that I have seen, grown up with, and there children. None of it has worked until they wanted it including domestic abuse. Drug addiction can be proven when you are caught. Domestic violence still has to have a witness or a video, for proof.

@@frankpaya690 I totally agree with you. Where I used to live there were so many high school students dying in alcohol related car accidents. The police department decided that they would create this program where if high school students were drinking at a party they could call the police department and they would "give you a ride home no questions asked." That lasted about 6months. The rich kids got the ride home. The poor kids got arrested for public drunkenness. They were questioned who, what, where, and why. Plus pay a fine. Just another example of the crappy justice and mental health systems in this country.

@@AmysAttitude I’m a psychiatric nurse, and in treating people with substance use issues, before they can take in the information they need for recovery, they must first hear it. If they become defensive, they are not going to be in an optimal place to learn the skills they need to recover. In dealing with people who come into treatment, it is vital to avoid loaded terms whenever possible in the interests of optimizing treatment outcome.
Not invalidating your comment or your perspective. Just offering what my experience and training have taught me about the importance of language in providing care in a clinical setting.
Your perspective as someone who has been through the process as a patient is every bit as important to treatment success as my professional perspective. Two different approaches but neither one is automatically better than the other. Just offering my own, not as a refutation of yours, but as a natural accompaniment. Shared knowledge and perspective are vital in developing and providing new and still more effective treatment modalities.

Kurt Cobain's death was no suicide, it needs to be investigated. He had already instructed his attorney to draw up divorce papers and was seeing another woman. The so called suicide note was actually lyrics to a song, and multiple people stated that Courtney was asking around for a hit man...the one piece of evidence that proves it....the shotgun barrel was longer than his arms and he had shoes on which means he could not reach the trigger while holding the gun and could not have held the gun pulling the trigger with his toes...someone else had to have pulled the trigger otherwise a rod tool used to help would have been laying right there....also no extra drugs were found, if he just got heroin, injected a big amount, then shot himself, there shoulda been more drugs there, so the killer took that as well

    • @reneecaballero9624

Yep, and the amount found in his system would've killed him. There's no way he could've put his drug supplies away, he most likely lost consciousness before he was able to even remove the syringe from his arm. That's why so many addicts are found with 💉 still in their arms, or wherever they injected it at. Unfortunately, the police gave Courtney the damn gun and she instantly had it melted down, so that evidence is gone. There's so much evidence that points to her having him killed. I also believe she tried to kill him before, by putting stuff in his food or drinks. Sadly, I don't think we'll ever see her arrested for it because of the crappy way they handled the scene.. 🤬

My son and I went to a movie in Park City during the Sundance Festival (it was not a festival movie). As we left the theater, Philip Seymour Hoffman (whom we recognized and knew to be in town for the festival) walked through the front door for the next showing of a Sundance movie in which he starred. He smiled an said "Hi" to which we answered. Days later he was dead. He did not look well that night, nevertheless, it was a shock to hear of his demise.

Dying of an overdose in a hospital room?
How ironic, help is right there -Just mere feet away but they don't bother walking in and checking on anyone. Chris Farley battled weight problems all this life but it's not politically correct to acknowledge the obvious. He made a living by making himself the butt of jokes which hurts in the long run. Reportedly he asked that stripper to please not leave him and what did she do?
Left him and sold a picture of him dying to a tabloid.
