    Notes about Jackery:
There are so many comments saying I NEED to keep my Jackery for backup. Here's what I'd like you to keep in mind. With two solar panels getting full direct sunlight, it takes around 8 hours to charge that 1000watt battery. Without solar, it takes around 8-10 hours of being plugged into a wall to be charged. Or 20+ hours of driving. To keep it for "just in case" is impractical. I'm never somewhere I can sit plugged in for 8-10 hours on a regular basis. I usually don't travel more than two hours at a time. If im boondocking and my "solar goes out" I will have no way to charge the jackery enough for it to be useful. It's not worth keeping.
Also! That doesn't mean I don't want a portable power station. I literally said in the video that I would want a smaller one.
The one I have is giant, and 22 lbs. I had only a Jackery 250 (the smallest one) for the first 6+ months of living in a van and was able to just use that. It was only 6 lbs and it fit in my backpack.
Please know that I know what's best for me and my needs.
    Thanks!

So I never comment on stuff like this because I know that the person that is out there van Lifan knows exactly what they need so it is so funny for people to sit back and say oh oh oh you need to do this and you have to do that I just think it's funny I know it all comes from a good place but it's still funny to me have a great day

Yeah, you know what works for you. Go with that. Question: My little Yeti 200 is solar but can also plug into the dash board while I'm driving so I can charge it that way as well. Does the Jackery not have that option?

It's your life, and obviously only you know best what works for you. I don't understand why people always want to dictate to other people how they should live their lives. I understand that there are people who mean well, but come on.

I understand about the Jackery... I really feel the large ones are better for people who camp for the weekend or want a backup power supply in case the power goes out. So many are sponsored and probably don't want to say it out loud. :D I remember your tour of the mini-van at the beginning, but it's neat to see the "lived in" aspect. I've always liked that you don't try to varnish your van life by only showing the pristine, fully organized spartan living. This looks lived in and loved.

good for you, what a great upgrade, its been a long time coming. Personally, as I am a traveler and also a wheelchair user, I would have kept the interior almost the same as you bought it, including the wheelchair lift, but I can now see how much more space you have created by removing all the unnecessary cosmetic junk and lift you don't need, and do what works best for you. Safe travels to you!

I travel in a teardrop and look longingly at a van, then when I think of getting rid of my teardrop I just don't know if I can do it. I'm fast approaching age 79 so I'll more than likely continue on down the road with my teardrop named Dimples! Having a fridge/freezer in your van is going to be awesome. I got one for my van so I could carry more food, especially when I am traveling with my sons and I need more food. If you are selling your Jackery I would love to buy it! All the power I can get to run my cpap in my van I will take lol but I'm on a budget with my van build. Your tour gave me some great ideas for new things to do in my van. I have a no build set up because I'm one of those people who constantly needed to rearrange my bedroom as a teenager cuz I needed change lol. @@MyBasicJourney Well I guess I'm glad I haven't purchased any of their products yet.. Was looking for something similar for my dad's oxygen machine... I thought the warranty period was 2 years due to their website..
      Warranty Period
The warranty period for Jackery power products is 24 months. In each case, the warranty period is measured starting on the date of purchase by the original consumer purchaser. The sales receipt from the first consumer purchase, or other reasonable documentary proof, is required in order to establish the start date of the warranty period.
      Exchange
Jackery will replace (at Jackery's expense) any Jackery product that fails to operate during the applicable warranty period due to defect in workmanship or material. A replacement product assumes the remaining warranty of the original product.

I just did an over night trip it was supposed to be more but the heat chased us home. No matter how hard I try it seems its a mess in no time and realize I still brought to much. UGH! Can't wait for you to start your build.

Chantelle, you have done it right! With all the experience you have living in a small space, you are beyond prepared for designing your van. NTM the info you have no doubt gathered from fellow travelers. I’m so excited for you and to see your newly converted van! C head sounds like an excellent choice, in all my research have never heard of them! Hoping to see you on the road one day!

Regarding your Jackery, 22 lbs sounds super light to me for any battery/inverter unit, but you should use whatever works for you. As long as you install adequate batteries to support your solar system, you will be fine. personally, I use a power wheelchair, and use two battery/inverter units, 3500 watts total, weighing about 100 lbs total, and 200 watts of portable solar panels. I have no extra space and not enough GVWR for the additional weight of additional house batteries in my Ford E-150 Van. (Li-ion batteries are cost prohibitive to me) Happy travels and I'll keep watching your always fascinating videos!

Awesome exit tour. Life is what it is. Excited to see your ‘new to you’ van. I am beginning to get my minivan ready for travel. I wish I was closer, I’d give your Tulle a good home on my minivan. Looking forward to see you back on the road with Joey. ❤️✌🏼😎👍🏼

The bigger van should be a nice change. I know it was for me when I left my minivan.

I remember when you built your closet, it’s ingenious! You should be proud of it. Clever!
I want to thank you for the Thought Cloud discount. It’s been so helpful this past year.
Best of luck with the new van! It’s been a fun journey with you and Joey 🌈🧡

I'm so excited for you! I've been following you since before you moved into the mini van. I often tell newbies to go look at how you built a closet rod to hang up clothes in the back. I can't wait to see what you do with your new space! Enjoy 🥰💖🚙🇨🇦

It sounds like you have good forward motion. You are going to enjoy the bigger space so much! It will be like Joey has a suite to live in now. :) I look forward to seeing your new home come together. :)

You have me smiling....don't get rid of your crafts or leave it behind. When you have a table and more space inside you'll most likely use it. Especially if you're tucked in somewhere with rising fuel costs.
Bring the jackery back to Bend, I need one and I'll take it off your hands, to buy not free, lol.
The Thule....hmm. I think you could mount it onto a large piece of wood and then fasten on top of your new home. That lovely gentleman that is helping you with your build would be most helpful. Or fasten it onto the back. I don't remember what it looked like. Just some thoughts. I do that when it's 5am here and I'm still wide awake.
    Enjoy!!! Murphy in La Pine

This shows how hard it is to keep things straight lol. I'm still off grid in one room and omg if I don't put things up for just one day it gets so out of hand. Love your new van. .. I'm so jelly 😅

I kind of freaked out when you said you were getting rid of your Jackery. I have a full system in my standup van but I also keep two Jackery‘s for back up. I just make sure they’re at full capacity and charge them when I can plug them in somewhere. It’s funny but with more room you tend to find more things you need power for. It’s shocking how quickly your system will run low on power when you’re off grid. I recently figured out I could run my instant pot on my Jackery and it’s amazing for making healthy vegan meals!
