    It's stuff like this that makes me wonder what it'd be like if UA-cam still had a video response feature

    Thank you thank you. The other Mikes look like they could use a cup of coffee. I learn so much more playing in an ensemble than on my own. My teacher in high school used to play duets with me every week. I think that is what gave me a boost over the other kids.

    Thank you so much for doing this. It's pretty much the only reason I pick up the clarinet these days. The bop duet was a killer and I loved the Joplin and Bach. Looking forward to the next one!

    Love this! I'd like to try recording a quartet on a different woodwind instrument. Like to see a video on the recording technology.

    This is fantastic. I am having a lot of trouble downloading the sheet music. For example, how do you do it for the Mozart Eine kleine Nachtmusikmusic? It seems to point me to website but can’t get it right. Thanks Mike.

    Hello @earspasm Musik ;-) Could you explain us how your're synchronizing so perfectly your set ? Are you playing with metronome in your ears ? recording each part separatly or with the bass ? and so on...I'm very curious lol...I tried several times to record some pieces for my students and each time it was a mess LOL...thanks for your answer if possible and THANK YOU for EV !! :-) bests regards from Colmar, FR...JF

    • @earspasm
      @earspasm  4 роки тому +3

      Many ways you can achieve this. You could record each part separately to a metronome, you could record it into software (like Garageband or the equivalent). You could play one part, and then play back wearing the headphones to overdub. Many options!

    I played this with my clarinet section when I was a sophomore!! So exciting to see this.
    Edit: Hi Mr. Lowenstern (hopefully I spelled your name right),
    How do you edit your videos like this? How do you get the sound of the metronome out of the video? And the multiple versions of you (maybe you have two identical siblings I don't know)?

    • @earspasm
      @earspasm  4 роки тому +2

      I should probably make a video showing you all how to do this. But then it’d be like a magician showing you how to perform a trick-it’d spoil the trick for you.

    • @jawadalam4409
      @jawadalam4409 4 роки тому

      @@earspasm Very true. I say, don't make a video because it'll ruin the magic. I'll just figure it out by myself!
